I LOVED BEING SO CLOSE TO THE BEACH AND ALL THE NICE RESTAURANTS.
We loved our stay here, the cottage is very cosy. Location is great and so was our dinner & breakfast at Keylime Bistro.
Nice location, close to beach and restaurants
Terrible bed, too soft
It was first floor and the car was right out the door, a short walk to stores, and many good eating places. The decorations were very beachy-just the way it should have been. Breakfast was wonderful. Will go back.
The location. The accommodation was so different with shared kitchen, lounge etc. Good food (off site, but next door).
WiFi only available at office.
no water views from room.
Location and quirkiness.Very accommodating reception stafff
location near beach, large cottage, near restaurants.
very dim lighting.
Location, friendly staff, charming room, good breakfast.
Noise - room had a communication door with another room. We could even hear our neighbours switch on the light. Their TV was torture! Bathroom fittings a bit tired and pool too cold to use
Great location. Only a 2 minute walk to beach. Facility very clean.
Billed rack rate, no acknowledgement of booking thru "Booking.com"., no receipt given at check out. Had to call for adjustment.
Walking distance from the beach with plenty of restaurants and places to rent things for beach activities, jet ski, parasailing, kayaking. This is not a place to come party, this is definitely a place to come and relax, which is what me and my wife loved about it. Restaurants close around 10 but there is always live music, excellent food and arelaxed atmosphere. They included breakfast for the days that you are there, not your typical breakfast like most hotels. This is full restaurant breakfast, amazing! If you want to go out shopping there are a couple of outlets off of the island. Everything off the island is about a 30 minute to hour drive, but that's because the speed limit on the island is about 30-35 mph. This was an awesome getaway, and while the island is a little expensive, I can honestly say that you get what you pay for.
The island is a little expensive, so come prepared to spend, but you get what you pay for. A little bit of a drive to the outlets and anything off the island, but like I stated, the speed limit is 30-35 on the entire island, and it's $6 everything you come back on the island. There might be a way around that though, I'm not really sure.
fourth stay at this inn, each time im more and more pleased with my choice to stay at captia inn.
Everything from the staff to the pool was fabulous. I dont recommend Jasmine (one room cottage)i was there briefly. I stayed in Orchid w/no complaints. The Free Breakfast at either RC Otters or Keylime Bistro was Excellent.
No Ice Machine
I liked the nice apartment. The shared area would be great to come back to with friends!
There was nothing I didn't like!
The apartment wasn't clean. Pillows with blood stains on it, and with a rotten smell. The terrace was dusty, full of leaves. The staff didn't even bother to dust it off. The front desk lady that checked us in was very unfriendly. We were afraid to ask anything. But, the restaurant breakfast was excellent and the staff there was very nice. I would only recomment the restaurant. I would not recommend the hotel at all.
bed and breakfast place
reception staff did not offer to carry suitcase upstairs when I said I could not do it, even though only 100 feet away from the stairs. lights next to bed had no switch and had to be unplugged and replugged no cell reception and no internet nobody at reception before 9 a.m. and no place to leave key when checking out early.
The porch, choice of two restaurants for breakfast, the pool is shaded, the quiet, the casual décor (didn't need to worry if there was sand on our feet), the staff that we met were very courteous and helpful.
Wish there had been an ice machine on the premises.
Our location was very convenient. All the restaurant staffs were wonderful on the island. The breakfast staffs were particularly good.
The general store closed at six and no vending machines available. The sliding glass doors were very hard to open and close.
Room beautiful, location nice----- you must insulate ceiling to 3rd floor. Neither of us slept all night due to noise ALL night in honeymoon suite!! Would never return to that room!!!
Room very noisy all night long---- pounding walking feet for 4 hours all night! My husband got up and walked to gulf while I tossed and turned. Neither of us slept. That, on Captiva, on a Saturday night, is INTOLERABLE!!!!!!!
Ocean and close eating.
How relaxing the over all environment was. Perfect get away and very lenient staff. Definitely had a home feeling to it. Definitely will be back!
very laid back and casual. Cute cottages, close to beach and quality food services.
a/c was a bit loud as was the bathroom fan.
Close to beach and restaurants.
Too soft bed.
