After seeing other reviews that didn't give a good review, I was very plently surprised at how clean and well looked after the rooms were Being in a downstairs room, the hotel does have people staying with animals, one night there, the people in the room above had two dogs which barked all night! Ok not the hotels fault, but it did stop me sleeping

Room was clean This is the second time, we stayed at Carefree. The 1st stay was fine, however this time, we did not have a good stay. I may our reservations in April (downstairs;non smoking) when we got to the hotel they only had a second floor booke---I cannot climb stairs!! They gave us another room, but we had to wait twenty minutes; the tv did not work properly; 15mins after we checked in maintenance knocked on the door to put up a toilet tissure holder. Water pressure was very low and very little hot water available. We like to stay at this hotel because of the location; but we will not be staying here again. Thank you

location to reliant there was unfinished shelves in the room, the toilet seat was broken, there was paint splatter on the floor in the sink/bath area.

Business was the purpose for travel. Several rooms were needed so price was important. The staff was very nice and shuttle service great. The location was very convenient. Laundry facilities were necessary. Rooms were clean and confortable except for occassional bugs. The breakfast could have been better especially the coffee. Bugs

They lied about there price and would not even honor what there employee quoted our vacation was ruied and we had to drive all the way back home with little rest and our babies that really sucked

We stayed here while attending the Houston Rodeo. They have a shuttle driver just for taking people to the rodeo. Mr. Butch seemed to be a nice man and we felt safe riding with him. The staff was real friendly. Not very sound proof. Most of the T.V. station pictures didn't come in real clear. Coffee pots were in the room, but no coffee was supplied.

That they offered a shuttle service to Reliant Park was great but they charge $5 per person each way was too much. It wasn't but about a mile away. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The bed had to be the hardest mattress I have ever had to lay on. It was extremely uncomfortable. There was a coffee pot in the room but no coffee. Didn't know you had to bring your own. Wasn't much of a selection at continental breakfast. The room charge is too high for that hotel; it's old and the inside of rooms look it. It was clean but old.

Location good for where we needed to be, but not good enough to warrant a return trip ever in our lives. The room was awful; sheets thin enough to see thru; curtains and bedspread dirty; floors & walls need paint (dirty, scratched, etc); bathroom has old leaky, unattractive fixtures; door didn't close tightly. Overall - about the worst place we've ever stayed. Not even a "value price."

Reasonable rates, however when I initially booked the room four days in advance of my date of arrival, I received a confirmation number however I did not realize that my checking account had not been immediately debited for the room payment even though I had receiv ed the confirmation number. Two days after making the booking, I received a phone call from Carefree Inn saying my checking account had denied the payment due to nsf. I was surprised, and immediately deposited additional cash into my account and phoned Carefree Inn and asked them to run the payment through again. They did and this time it passed . . . . . however I spent several anxious hours wondering if I had a room or not. It all seemed unnecessary if only Carefree had processed the payment on the same day as I received the confirmation number. The rates were reasonable however and in the end it all worked out. Even though I had confirmed reservations from Booking.com, they did not have them when we arrived. The staff could not have been more unhelpful and unfriendly. We had been traveling for two weeks in Nicaragua and every innkeeper there and their staffs were wonderful..pleasant and helpful. We had 3 days in Houston to see our grandson. When we checked in and they didn't show our reservations, they said they did have one room and we could stay the night but check the next morning. That person said to check later on. When I called back, they told me that we would have to come immediately and get our things and move them to a new room. We were at the Zoo with our grandson. The hotel was across town. We protested vehemently and they finally agreed to let us stay in that room. There was absolutely no courtesy, no friendliness, no smiles, no warmth...obviously the staff hasn't been trained in customer service at all. But, the problem seemed to be in communications between Booking.com and the hotel.

It was in a good location just at south of Main street. It was easy to get around by car. The rooms could be more modern . The carpet was too long- haired, if you put in a woodfloor I will be back again.

The attendant was nice. It was certainly a cheap place to stay. The room had electrical problems, and an old, fuzzy TV. You get what you pay for.

The staff was very informative and helpful, thanks to all of them! The room was spacious and fully equiped with a fridge, coffe maker, microwave and hairdryer, that was more than I expected! The location was good considering how extensive is the city of Houston, and there are 2 bus stops next to it, which helped to connect it with several areas and the HOBBY airport. The hotel is surrounded by a Burguer restaurant, a taco´s restaurant and a buffet restaurant. three blocks away from there you find 2 pharmacies and a drugstore.
