Hotel Carlton

Helpful staff which gave us lots of information abt the city. They managed to provide a warm environment during my stay.

The hotel is too far away from the BART station which I am too tired to go when carrying lots of baggages. Suggest the hotel to have free shuttle serivce to pick up guest at BART stations.

The staff was so friendly and greeted me each time I passed. The room was spacious with comfortable beds and office chair. Nice worktable and easy access internet. I also enjoyed the excellent fresh fruit at the breakfast bar. Our conference banquet went over the allotted time, but the staff was friendly and accommodating, not offering a single nudge or complaint.

Upgrade the TVs. Kindly old.

you could frequently here sirens at night. a hospital is very close, so I guess the noise came from there...

Hotel is very basic but this is reflected in price.

I asked for a quiet room but was given a room on the corner so could hear street noise.

I liked the comfortable beds and cosy decoration in the rooms. You can have breakfast in restaurant belonging to hotel and pay separately depending on what you order . We were informed in the reception about the areas where to go and were to not go.

We booked a guided tour around town from hotel , but - there was not any separate guide and the bus driver was talking hours in the microphone while driving without not very many facts about anything- the route was interesting. Parking is 30$ per day+ an additional charge of getting the car from vallet if you want to use your car. Sutterstreet where hotel is located is ok, but closeness of the area of The Tenderloin and seeing its homeless poor souls wandering around was sad and even shocking but also eye-opening . You can not avoid it totally in whole center of SF.

There is no room service. The coffee is not so good at the restaurant.

Hotel staff is the frienliest group of people making the stay even more enjoyable.

Did not like staying in a room that was located in the front of the hotel, especially right above the entrance. I found it exceptionally loud.

We liked the suite and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was a great family hotel.

The ice manchine is only on the first floor and our room was on the 9th so it was not convenient.
