Beautiful spot and town makes any stay in the area great. Expensive for what they offer. Should consider offering a full cooked breakfast.

Breakfast and staff were great and it was a quaint place. The location was very nice,. The bathroom was across the hall from us and while it was a really nice bathroom I think this room should be discounted more than the others. We also thought that robes would have been a nice addition since we needed to walk back and forth often to the bathroom.

Beautiful small hotel, small rooms, and not too much space (which did not bother us). Staff is very friendly and really welcoming, feels like home. Free internet. Wine and snacks at 5pm, you get to know other guests then and during breakfast. Very relaxing atmosphere.

The owner is very kind and helpful! The room is very confort, quiet and charming. And the breakfast is very good. Our bedroom was upstairs, in third floor. It was a bit complited to go up with all our luggage.

Elderly Travelers should be cautioned that the smaller, more value-oriented rooms are on the third floor and there are no elevators.

The room was very clean, great designer features, including the bathroom fixtures. Highly recommend it. We didn't stay long enough, but that's not their fault really.

We liked the location. the breakfast was very good and Margo was wonderful! We were having a lovely chat with people we met from another country in the living room when at 9:30 in the evening we were told we had to leave the room as the room had to be set up for breakfast. cant recall the ladies name, but we were all a little shocked at this request. I don't see how us chatting by the fireplace affected her setting of the table for breakfast in the morning!

This place is so lovely, and the staff are really nice. Nice walk to the main street, and breakfast is great. Fresh juice and fruit, your pick of toast/bagels/boiled eggs. The inn is decorated really nice (home style). Really pretty living/dining area if you wanted to chill out and read a book by the fireplace. The general feel of the place is relaxing. We would stay here again for sure.

The beach once you found it and the nice lady that served the breakfast - who must of thought we were kind of rude not saying that we had a lovely stay or signing the guest book! I'm going to be quite honest about this as I felt, for the first time a bit let down by Booking.com - firstly, I was charged $295 for a room I though I was paying just $265 for - then I saw the small print and it said the price excluded VAT. We turned up, admittedly late (8.45pm) having had a long drive to get there and were told that they were locking up so had to stay in our rooms and really wanted to just have a wander around the town to get a quick snack. Then in the morning the breakfast involved sharing a table with a bunch of strangers we'd never met before and there was a cold buffet/continental selection. Everyone felt kind of awkward and for this price, I could of stayed in a major hotel and had a better start to the day. Finally and most importantly, it is not a 'Seaview' Inn! Sorry but I think this is important to share....

The staff were excellent. Couldn't do enough to help and provided some good ideas in terms of restaurants. The location is also handy, two streets from the beach, but also a short walk into town (10 mins tops). In addition to a nice continental breakfast they put on afternoon tea between 3 and 4pm and wine and cheese between 5 and 7pm in a communal lounge room. I ended up doing a great day walk from the Inn into Point Lobos State Reserve - head down to the beach and south along the coast, over the Carmel River State Beach estuary outlet to a path on the other side which leads to Point Lobos State Reserve (you have to walk along the coast to the next main beach and then continue along the road half a mile to enter the reserve - where there's lots of trails).

The staff was very gracious; Location was great! We stayed in one of the rooms which shared a bath - which wasn't a problem since we had our own sink in the room. Bathroom was very clean. Happy hour was a great time to meet fellow guests. The only criticism was that the heat didn't work well and it was rather cold in our room. Granted, it was a very cold evening (40 degrees). I suggest making sure you have enough blankets (a feather comforter was on the bed). As a warning... the rooms on the top floor have to be accessed by a narrow set of stairs, so they aren't appropriate for the mobility challenged.
