very happy with staff and Inn.
We were there on New Year's Eve/day and are college football fans. I would have liked to have had a TV at least for the Rose and Sugar Bowls. We tried to stream the games off my PC but the connection was too poor.
We stay here every year to celebrate New Year's Eve with friends, and we are never disappointed. Comfortable bed, well decorated, clean, with an incredible staff that work hard to make our stay enjoyable.
It is a bit far from downtown, and there are stairs to climb. These things do not bother us, but older couples should be aware.
Everything is beautiful.
Stairs are bit steep and narrow for a tall person(I'm 6'2) . The room at attic floor is a bit small for a big body. Everything else is excellent!
The Breakfast is good. And the decorate of the house is wonderful
The Room 1 is too small and need to share washroom with Room 2. And the price for Room 1 is really too high. All other things are good.
Friendly staff, very helpful. Good and useful books about local attractions and sightseeings.
GPS can't locate there, and in the dark evening, it is really hard to find the inn for first time visitors.
Homely place. Personal service and nice breakfast
No sea view!
Hope Seattle Charming comfortable Relaxing Beautiful neighborhood Right next to amazing coastal walk Easy Walk to town center Lovely staff A must return to place!
Excellent, excellent! Authentic old Carmel B&B situated in quiet street with easy access to beach, shops, and restaurants. Our host, Tracey, was charming and provided very helpful recommendations for activities and restaurants. We will definitely return.
The location was phenomenal, close to town and the beach. The staff was extremely charming and inviting. We will most assuredly return. Merry was just wonderful!
We love the staff, the charm and cleanliness of the inn and just everything about this place!
As a first time visitor to Carmel, Sea View Inn was the perfect place to stay. The staff and breakfast were delightful, as well as the other guests. The charm complemented the beauty of Carmel, offering a cozy environment. There is much to explore in the area, but we were also delighted to spend some time at the Inn on the porch with a book.
This was an investment stay for us at the price, but it was worth it and reasonable. The staff provided insight on dining and the local attractions. Although it was expensive (for us) it wasn't much more than other area options and was worth a few extra dollars for the amazing breakfast, access to beach and amazing hospitality. Room was small, but not a big deal. Bathroom was fully updated and all was very clean.
The setting and location.
Found the back yard garden space on our own, would have enjoyed it a little earlier in our stay. Ability to hear people in the next room. But it is a B & B
A rating for welcoming, cozy vibe and stellar breakfast
Beutiful rooms, breakfast is unic and is sheared with other guests. Wonderfull garden and very good feeling of hospitality. Wine is served free in the afternoons, and give a feeling of being a wanted guest!
Lovely character style house, well maintained. Great breakfasts served daily and complementary regional wines offered daily.
Just a perfect bnb in a great neighborhood. Breakfast was delicious both days we were there. Stayed in the small bedroom on the top floor and it was spacious and had a sink. Bathroom upstairs is recently remodeled. Very clean. Hosts are wonderful - charming Scottish woman made us feel welcome.
warm welcome and attentive service
Convient location, Close to beach, clean, cute Everything u would expect a b&b to be.
Our room, the bed, the nice linens, the roomy bathroom.
The breakfast was average...basic fare.
Cosiness Great breakfasts Friendly staff Great location
Lack of street lighting in Carmel means you really have to use the car at night even to go to nearby restaurants
Parlor feel for breakfast
lack of attention to detail :: sloppy paint job, poorly executed fixture installation in bath. Ok with no TV but think a personal coffee/tea maker is required especially since breakfast, which was a poor quality -- mass market croissants, bagels, is served not until at 8:30... and lack of understanding of egg cups -- served hard cooked eggs in them.
Very friendly staff. I felt like part of a family.
Location was great for walking to the beach and in town
Not enough lighting in bedroom. Advertised wine and cheese but never served the cheese.
Location. Pretty garden in back.
No cheese at happy hour as promised in brochure. Coffee was terrible. Breakfast was disappointing.
