The location was nice
We arrived in town late and just stopped by the hotel. The desk clerk argued with me after I commented that the counter was sticky and must have been painted. I didn't want green paint on my clothes. She assured me it was not sticky and was dry because it had been painted a week before. BTW, she had the same paint color on her sweater. Room was very noisy
Could not sleep. People above us walking back and forth constantly on creaking floors. Felt like they were going to land on us!
Absolutely no wi-fi. Minuscule room. Small bed. Worn-down bathroom (cracked tiles) with shower curtain that clings to your backside when you shower. Breakfast good but only came through at 8:30. Complementary sherry in room: undrinkable. 25$ charge for using booking.com

Had trouble adjusting water temperature in the shower. Plumbing seems to be seriously outdated.
Location, comfort of room, outdoor patios (both the community and private) and the breakfast basket:)
Little tight in room space.
wonderful location in the heart of town....good advice on places for dining....quaint converted home to Inn...lovely courtyard and shared balcony great value!
no room for hanging clothes...we were fine for a 2 night stay but would be too crowded for a longer stay
Perfect location, great hospitality!
Paper thin walls. Upstairs another kept me awake. Tired room, tired grounds. Not cute like I remembered it.
Charming atmosphere in an excellent location. Helpful staff and a fantastic website.
I had to leave :)
Right in town, quiet, great grounds,Mark was welcoming and first impressions are important.
The sherry. I would suggest using a local coffee instead of folgers. Sorry not much wrong, we had a super time.
Could'nt be more helpful did everything possible to make a pleasant stay
Location, bed, ease of parking
Spotty wifi with poor throughput.
Tiny room. Motel 6 level quality.
Right around the corner from Ocean street, everything at your fingertips.
Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Excellent location to beach and town.
Convenience to other nearby locations.
Unmodernized and cramped quarters.
+ Carmel is a lovely small town + Super designed cozy rooms + Breakfast is brought to your room where you can eat it on your terrace
The bath room is clean and reasonable size with good separate shower and tub.
The reception very cold. Makes one feels unwelcome or that she does not need your business. When the light bulb is out does not replace immediately claiming they don't have any light bulb available. When questioned, the person over the phone said that she can return our money and we can move some place else and that was at 8 in the evening. Room is so small that there is hardly any room for luggage. No comfortable chair to sit except the bed. The only table is outside on the deck. On a rainy day you have to eat breakfast in bed. On the whole, it is the worst experience for a room that is over $100.
Bed was very comfortable. The bedroom is small but quaint.
Bathroom was very tired...very small and cramped. Breakfast was poor...soggy pastries the first morning and nothing left on our doorstep the second morning. Very little effort put into breakfast
Room very small, no place to sit besides the bed. Bathroom in dire need of updating and cleaning (black mold in shower). Breakfast underwhelming. Wifi didn't work. Way overpriced, room rates should be less than half what we paid. Will not come back.
Charming boutique hotel. Loved the quaint atmosphere. Great location in the downtown of Carmel. Three blocks from the beautiful beach.
Quaint - right in middle of town and easy access to shopping and restaurants. Brought healthy breakfast to our room.
Desperate need of updating. The pedestal sink was cracked. Very small room overall. Wood casing around door deteriorating. Old fiberglass shower. Old toilet.
