Cozy cottage with fireplaces
Tight parking, free breakfast was packaged stuff, not fresh
the staff were nice but the manager was awful, rude and an oger I could have done without meeting for that price I expect some customer service.
size, heat of the rooms, towels, sheets had holes, yes holes. They gave a basket of food for breakfast but the quality is terrible so why bother?
Despite our unit being located next to a busy street, it was very quiet and the bed was comfortable, the staff was very responsive to our needs.
Two dirty plastic containers outside our door on arrival, cobwebs (may not have been avoidable given the trees etc), light out in entry way and one light out in room, hairdryer did not work but could have been my problem. The room had a terrible odor from what I think was a floor cleaner.
The cottage set-up was nice, especially with private outdoor seating areas for each cabin. Breakfasts were copious and delivered to the cabin.Angel, who checked us in, was very nice and helpful.
The place was pretty out-dated and a bit run-down. The grounds could be beautiful but were not maintained. The "fireplace" was a heater with some kind of image of flames. The "spa" was in a small, concrete room and never seemed to be hot during our visit.
The area was quiet, mostly residential. I liked the idea of breakfast delivered each morning in a basket.
The property was dated and too far from restaurants/shops - we had to get in the car every time - and finding parking downtown was not easy. The breakfast, while tasty and pretty healthy, was the same thing every day.
Staying in cabins, comfortable beds with clean sheets, cable TV, parking space, warm rooms.
For some guests, this may not be within walking distance to downtown. Cabins are pleasant, but not what you'd get at other places for $200/night. Wi-Fi was very slow (40 KB/s both nights). We had an issue with a broken ventilation fan that kept us awake at night for two nights with loud noise. This was handled poorly by management.
Staff was very kind. Good bed and free parking
Wifi quite poor
Location,breakfast offering,comfort of room.
Need down pillows or at least softer pillow.
Great price, good location, clean, comfortable. Asked for an ironing board and had one in two minutes. Quick walk to town. Vintage feel.
Small inconvenience: no A/C. It got warm on one of our afternoons and we had to open the door to cool down.
General atmosphere of the cabins and the nice interior setting. Surprise of a breakfast basket delivered, nice start for the day. Well located and easy to find for out of towners.
Cannot complain about anything, very happy overall and will try to come again.
it was a dump for a lot of money. skimpy bedding, skimpy towels. crazy dangerous layout of the facility with cabins on top of each other in a maize that was frequently blocked. keys didn't work or not well... ugly decor and it was a lot of money... if you want to spend a lot of money to stay in a dump... this is your place!
The location is quiet and convenient. The front desk person was friendly and helpful. Breakfast basket served to front door.
The furnishings are dated. The floor slopes. The TV is very small and can hardly be seen from the bed. Our room could have used a small table and chairs to eat breakfast.
Location, comfort, rate. I've stayed here twice now, and would return.
I like that you can have pets stay too, but someone left their yapping dogs while they were out for the evening.
The bed and bathroom look pretty clean and the breakfast basket was good.
Stuff promised to brink the breakfast between 7 and 8 am but they brought it 30 minutes after 8 or later.
The little cabin in the woods was ok
The room was hot and the fan size was miniature-did not sleep well-it's also to far from downtown-& difficult to find
Location easy to access from Hwy. 1. Not so close to town as to be busy with tourists (such as ourselves). Rooms, actually small cabins, offer quiet privacy A nice place to stay for a night or two.
Room had a bit of a musty smell at first. Just needed an airing out.
I was drawn in by the low price only to find that it was low because the accommodations were poor.
Lacked charm though the brochure seemed to indicate charming cottages. The lack of attention to detail was evident. The breakfast basket was presented in an unappetizing mess, the grounds needed tending, the jacuzzi was lukewarm and the lights did not work in the jacuzzi room. The staff could have cared less and even when he said he'd check on the jacuzzi and let me know, he never did.
I absolutely loved the location and our private outdoor seating area. Great place to sit outside and enjoy a glass of wine.. or 2
The shower needs some serious updating.
Ratchety. The unit was old- outlet by the sink did not work. No AC, no refrigerator. The shower head spout was leaky & squirted out the side. Walls are thin. The conversation in the unit next door was loud even with the windows & door closed.
Smell Staff Noise Old and dirty place
Quite spacious. Comfortable bedding. Relatively cheap for Carmel.
It was like stepping back in time - everything was a bit dated and musty. It's hardly a 'resort' so much as a bunch of cottages. But for an overnight stay, it did the job.
Poor condition, poor food, low shower, poor furniture, poor kitchen supplies, no air, fan would have been nice. Elaine From Scottdale
Comfort, neighborhood location.
A little old, but quaint.

Fireplace didn't work-90 mins later repair person came. No breakfast in am, and we left at 9:30am! Was our anniversary. Dogs everywhere! Dingy rooms.
Room big enough ( had 2 queen size beds , only wanted 1) beds comfortable pillows nice ,
Room smelt stuffy , could see under beds not been vacuumed , had mix up with rooms ,manager tried to bluff us , said couldn't do anything about it we rang Bookings.com & all fixed up , Thank you
