Ease of access, no stairs, cost
rooms are pretty spartan
Rooms were clean and large with a lovely table and stools to eat at. staff were pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast arrived on time and was adequate. Liked the idea that we did not have to leave the room to get breakfast. Good place for the money.
Decor outdated but that didnt really bother us. Was quite a long walk to the beach but as we love walking that didnt matter!
---unique individual cabins - the outdoor patio area could have been a bit cleaner...
We would have liked a small refrigerator -- the idea of a basket of breakfast was good....cute concept...
Two Bedrooms with sinks separate from living area. Cute cottage. LOVED the water pressure. Nice TV.
Needs ALOT of TLC and could be a wonderful place. Needs new beds. Needs paint and more chairs in sitting area. One couch and two chairs for a two bedroom cottage is not enough seats.
It was the cheapest hotel available on short notice. The idea of a private cabin was appealing, but...
It was not impressive in any way and not all that comfortable–the sheets were kind of rough (old?).
The price and the cottages are quaint and separated from one another. The bed was comfortable, good tv/wi fi
Distance from town. Even though it was an older building they definitely Although they had updated some furniture the cleanliness and general upkeep needed to be cleaned up. The shower had mold on the grout, one faucet was almost falling off the wall, the cabinet for the tv stuck out in front of the vanity/sink so only one person could use at a time. Light at nightstand was unplugged and we couldn't reach behind bed.
I liked the individual cottages. The inn was easy to locate. The staff was friendly.
The accommodations were adequate, although the resort was rather outdated in its decor and amenities. The "continental breakfast" resembled a collection of items which could have been picked up at a convenience store. Just expected more for the money we paid for an overnight stay.
We stayed for one night. Room was confortable, clean and the staff were friendly. Overall a good place to stop for a short time.
No hot water.
Quiet individual cottage on the outskirts of downtown Carmel Friendly staff Nice continental breakfast Comfortable beds
Everything is dated and bathrooms need to be re-done, faucets falling off of walls in shower. Sinks don't drain Rooms have old armoirs's that take up too much space. and very odd decor no dining table in rooms to eat breakfast at. Could be very cute and comfortable with some work done.
Spacing of Bungalows, size of room, and the setting.
I am a car guy, so during Monterey Auto Week this place is great because I can park my "special" car off the street. The staff is courteous and helpful, the basket breakfast delivered to your door is tasty, and the stand alone cottage is quiet and comfortable. My wife is a "walker", so she enjoyed the fifteen minute walk to/from downtown Carmel to enjoy "lunching and shopping".
The grounds could use a little "sprucing up" around the whole property, and the cottages could be updated a bit.
Rundown, needs a clean, limited facilities, facilities such as the vending machine not operational.
Check in was a breeze.
Location was far from the center of town, not near the water at all. Bed was hard and pillow even harder, made sleeping impossible for me, although many may prefer hard beds and pillows.
Individual cottages Good free WiFi Comfortable bed Free breakfast basket
So tired and dated decor looked like 80's Had a bad sewer smell Overpriced for what it is
Black mold in bathroom Dirty carpeting Breakfast Funky room Sink didn't drain Unattractive grounds Poor lighting (bathroom light flashed all night, wouldn't turn off) WAY OVER PRICED.
Upon entry to cottage #40 the old smell of rank carpet caught us off guard. After putting away luggage we noticed the mini fridge was caked with ice, needed defrosting. The sign on the sink (laboratory) said please use water wisely, this was a contradiction to the tub/shower that leaked heavily. The toilet worked if your willing to take the tank lid off and lift the float to fill the tank after every use, but the worst part was when we rolled the bedding down and found long blonde hair in the sheets. 100% dissatisfied for the $254.00 spent for one night.
I liked the charm
I did not like the proximity to downtown. It was too far to walk. I also did not like the paper thin walls and lack of amenities, however, everyone was very nice and it went with the overall charm of the Carmel experience.
Carmel itself was lovely, beautiful sunset and really enjoyed the restaurants.
The cottage with open fire was actually a wooden shack with a plug in thing for a fire (think it was a plug in but the room was so stuffy I didn't check.untastefully decorated and breakfast was fruit and a pastry in a basket.couldnt wait to leave to be honest
So much better than a motel!
Quiet location, easy access to downtown.
Decor was awful, rug was dirty, shower had cracks on the tile, TV distorted, refrigerator made noise all night, lighting was too dim and we paid $230 a night!
Carmel location, detached structure
Old, poorly decorated, meldew smell, stained and dirty carpet. Wait until you see the hot tub!! We passed on that. I will not be back. A motel would have been less expensive and better
The room was clean and cozy! The electric fire place was nice and warm! It was a wonderful deal!
Available for last minute book. Cheap compared to other Carmel area accommodations.
Room was small and cramped for space. Mattress was old and needed to be replaced.
Cabañas simpáticas y buena ubicación
