The accommodation was fine for the money, but I would describe them more as cabins rather than cottages??

Had separate rooms with closing doors - a plus for couple with loud snoring! Spacious separate living room, complete with fridge.

Very bright nightlight that we couldn't turn off, had to put paper over the light in one room, as it faced the bed and was visible all night. Also the stone steps into our cottage (#10) were picturesque, but the very top one was loose, easy to slip and fall if you're not careful.

The privacy, the quiet , comfy coziness, and the warmth of the fireplace.

The breakfast was the only point I wasn't satisfied with. The amount of the food was alright, but I would have preferred if I would have served a little butter or marmalade with my croissant , and real milk for my coffee.

when I walked in, the first thing I saw was a stain on the carpet in front of the fireplace (I now know it's a dog friendly resort). It did not smell but the stain gave me the impression it wasn't clean a environment.

Our cabin had a sink hole in the middle of the floor. Cabins really need to be renovated, redesigned, and structurally modified. The "at your door complimentary breakfast" never arrived. Fridge was broken.

Carmel Inn resort was great value for the money. It was centrally located in Carmel (5 minute drive to shops and beach). It was a small cottage but it had everything you could need and was clean. It's not luxury by any means but it is great value. It's also dog friendly and was great for our pups.

If you had a large car, parking would be tight. It would be great if the facility had a hot tub. The breakfast was adequate and appreciated for the money but it would be a nice touch to get some fresh bakery items from a local bakery (the breakfast seemed to be muffins from costco).

*Terrible service by staff, *Old disgusting rooms, *Mold on roof was 3 inches thick, *Bed was worse than plywood, *No towels, *Toilet stuffed in next to the tub was almost unusable *Tub was 3 feet long and unusable *Shower head sprayed water barely out, no flow and impossible to use, we skipped showers so as not to get to frusterated. One thing we would have liked was a hot shower after a long day *Both cut our legs on the bed frames which were falling apart and had very sharp corners on each of the 4 (unfortunately we didn't realize this until we were injured) *Horrible breakfast delivered to room...Apricot Juice?? No Coffee??? We left it never touched it *we could not wait to leave I wouldn't wish this place on our worst enemy...and for $160 a night??? I was ashamed and emabarressed and apologized incessently to my lady friend for such a miserable experience

It was clean and quiet. They delivered a lovely breakfast of healthy food.

Too many broken things to list; big stain on the carpet. The bed linens and the carpet clashed so badly I almost couldn't look at them. The grounds are sorely in need of attention.

We felt very relaxed when returning each day. We were In Carmel for sons wedding which was event packed. It was nice to come "Home" to quiet and very comfortable accommodations. We loved it!

The breakfast basket was wonderful but the canned juice was not. If that's all I can find wrong then they did pretty good!!!

It was inexpensive and took our dog. Decent location.

Carpet smelled of urine, and the room was older and shabby. No kitchen.

Separate cottages and garden setting.

We were checked in and given the key to Cottage 18 (Scenic) but the room had not been cleaned so we had to wait for maid service and when we got in the room the telephone did not work ! Manager was unaware of local pizza shop delivery to his establishment.

The bed was clean and fairly firm.

The bathroom was disgusting with black grout in the shower, ugly caulking, no spare toilet paper, garbage in the yard out the back window, a phone that didn't work, and the phone number for the place was no longer in service!

I liked that it wasn't the "hotel" experience but something different and historic.

Our cabin, #11 did not have an updated bathroom. The furniture, fireplace and carpet were in need of replacement because they were very worn. Description didn't say the "road" through the cabins could not accommodate an suv size vehicle through some of the spaces.

Bed was very comfortable. Clean room for age.

Needs to bring bathroom facilites up to date. Baseboards need to be replaced. Just plain old and it shows they need to redo the room completely

We enjoyed the breakfast delivered to our room

Heater didn't work and had to ask twice for the additional heater to be delivered. There was no sink in the bathroom it was in the main room. Sheets were in pour shape, ripped and repaired poorly.

Accommodation fine.

Attention needed to the grounds. We had a patio but it was overgrown, spoiled a really good location. Orange juice for breakfast please.
