The grounds were well kept. My room was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my short stay.

Very comfortable cabin with 2 bedrooms, living room with fireplace, kitchen, dining area and 2 bathrooms. Northern California by the sea atmosphere. The staff made us feel very comfortable and that they were aware of our needs. They are also a pet friendly hotel. Easily located in the center of Carmel Valley, but feeling more private. the breakfast was pleasant but nothing special.

The Lodge grounds are very peaceful. It is an older Lodge, with mature landscaping and many blooming flowers. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room had outside patio seating, within the gardens area. The heated pool was one of the primary reasons we chose this lodge. However, it was heated to a minimum degree, and we saw only one guest swimming, as we all said, "It's too cold!". Breakfast in the dining room needs 'something'. It was depressing....huge tables, very mellow music, old 80's decor, and nothing was labeled. We ate at a local cafe our second morning. The fax machine almost lost our reservation - it had been out of order, and not all staff were trained to deal with this.

what a hidden treasure, we found this hotel by chance. We booked in for one night on our way back toSan Fransisco but loved it so much we cancelled the hotel in San Fransisco and stayed for three nights. We will definitely viisit here again. the location was brilliant as was the friendly staff. the pool was very clean and a really good size. The breakfast was included which was a bonus.The sun shines in the valley all day long not like Carmel by the sea which is wonderful for the shops and gallery,s but is always 10 degrees cooler than the valley.
