Lighting in room was not so great and beds were shorter than standard. However the linens and pillows were good- including towels. A longer trip and one with husband may have warranted a different size bed or different location.
Staff members were fantastic. I regret we didn't hang out on the cute roof top deck!
Couldn't get a steady WiFi in signal. The staff was professional but not very friendly. Pillows were not the best.
Location was idea for where we needed to be and room was clean.
The hotel is QUIET which is unusual for a NYC hotel. Perfect location and lovely staff. My third time staying and never disappointed. Very clean.
narrow hallways and lack of sound insulation at room doors. I think the bottom of the door could use a sweep or some kind of sound control device/threshold
very centrally located to many attractions and subway stations. staff is very helpful and facilities are very clean.
Noise from the street and the lack of a restaurant/room service
Staff are always friendly and helpful. Room is clean, Wifi works. Great choice
Room was very small for a family (even though had 2 double beds) Not enough space to hang clothes
No coffee machine nor water boiler in room. ALL hotel rooms MUST have, that's basic...Hotel 101 !!
Compact, no fuss, clean, quiet, perfect lication abode in town!
My room was at the front at the hotel so at times there was a bit of noise from the street but this didn't bother me and added to the NYC experience! The windows were also a bit draughty but the temperature control in the room meant we were never cold.
This was my first time staying in New York City and in have to say the Carvi hotel was the perfect place to stay! The location was ideal, just a 15min walk from the Rockerfeller Centre and really close to all of the major shopping spots. The staff at the hotel were very friendly, the room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The room also had all the facilities you could need, a hairdryer, iron, coffee maker and an excellent shower. The wifi was also very good. There was a wide range of cable tv channels and the room service list was broad and reasonably priced, meaning that a night in at the Carvi hotel was just as enjoyable. I would most definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.
Our room had the view of the street which is usually great but in New York its a bit noisy. But we still loved the Carvi and Staff!
Friendly staff. Treated like family!
Coffee maker, but no tea. Hanging space too short for dresses. Neither point should deter you, though. This is a comfortable place to stay
Very near subway, Small hotel, friendly, helpful staff, free wifi. Quiet and relaxed. Roof terrace looked nice, but wrong season for us to use.
very small everything
Location. Clean. helpful staff
Plastic under sheets! hate them had to remove it!
Clean good location
room was bare minimum
I did check in late and the front desk manager was very helpful with checking in, parking for my car and a great tip for a place to grab a late dinner.
This was the most incredibly over-priced room I ever stayed in. It's called a "suite," but it is one very small room with two beds. One cheap desk-chair to sit in. View of an air shaft. The lobby was small, noisy, and uncomfortable. Turns out there is a Doubletree four blocks away that is $100 cheaper per night.
I would prefer a bigger closet; it was not enough for three persons. It would en great if there is a microwave
The room was relatively capacious and the bathroom was clean with enough space.
The clothes shelve in room is very small. Gosh, my fridge is bigger than the shelve. We've been traveling in 3 persons and have no place to pick out our clothes out of suitcase. And no hangers for coat in the room.
Good position, quite street, close to anywhere, very good and professional staff. Quite noisy outside but that is New York
when i got to the hotel, there was no one at the front desk. I had to wait like 15 minutes until someone finally showed up. Person was friendlly, but that is not great service. The room was also very small. If you can help it, go to another hotel that has a bar and restaurant.
The staff was very nice, very helpful. The room was comfortable, clean, had robes, in room coffee and the best showerhead I've ever experienced. I'd definitely return and recommend.
You need to clean up that junk heap in the lower level (looking out through 205, there's all types of junk and refuse at the lower level). Very unsightly and pretty nauseating.
Prompt service with technician to help with TV ... even though it wasn't resolved. Bed and pillows were good. Shower strong and hot!! :-)
No food. First floor required stairs. Very small rooms.
Comfortable bed. Lovely rooftop lounge. Friendly and helpful staff
OK, but nothing special.
Location. Staff were helpful and friendly.
