There's no lift, and we were on the third floor, but, if you're trekking around San Francisco, three flights of stairs is nothing. The bed was squeaky, the A/C was nearly nonexistent, and it's very loud at night.
I booked this hotel online because it had a great deal. The location was prime, just a short walk away from the Painted Ladies (a great morning picnic spot), and a nice scenic walk from Haight-Ashbury for lunch. Check-in went smoothly as the staff member was courteous and welcoming.
The room was clean and simple: a bed, a TV, a mini fridge, a place to hang some clothes, a sink, and a table with chairs by the window. This is a shared bathroom-hotel. This is a safe, clean place to rest your head when on a budget. I would recommend this place for budget travelers.
