Room was hot and had no A/C Noise from the parking lot Room was incredibly small for the price

The Food! The Tapas restaurant was amazing. Also, all staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcomed

The rooms were a little noisy, but it wasn't a major issue.

Very friendly and helpful staff - couldn't fault any of them at all. Gardens and surroundings made it a very relaxing place to be. Plenty of places to visit and things to do nearby. Easy walking distance to shops, bars, restaurants and beach. We would certainly return.

The roses were so plentiful we could smell the hotel on our walk in the scenic downtown area. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We believed from the website that the hot tub was available to all guests but it was only accessible through the hotel's spa facilities at an additional cost.

The location is great, we walked 30 mins along the coast to the aquarium & cannery row. The hotel is 3 mins. from downtown & 10 mins. from the wharf. I love how much wildlife is around. The Spa was wonderful. Loved the pool & Esteban restaurant.

Nice towels and toiletries.Staff at front desk was very friendly. Nice being close to Peets and Trader Jo's. Restaurant looked nice, but did not eat there. My room was quiet.

The carpet in the room was stained and icky. They are apparently very proud of the new flat screens they have, but I would have much preferred the money be spent on the carpet. I think the room was actually quite clean, but stains make it seem dirty.

Super friendly staff, got a Nice room with balcony, close to lots of Nice coffeeshops and breakfast places.

No air conditioning is unacceptable, especially for what I thought was a 3-star hotel. Furniture in the rooms is a little outdated.

Nicholas at reception made our trip what it was. Great attention to detail and offered us great advice on what to do, where to go etc... As we only had a short time. He took the time to make our stay what it was. He offered a real personal touch that might have lacked in other staff. Thumbs up and for that reason I'd advise friends travelling in future to stay here

Wireless didnt work, towels poor quality especially for a spa hotel, bathroom smelled mildewy.

It was close to town about 10 min walk to centre. It was clean, we were close to the pool. Good value for money.

We arrived early at 1 30, check in was 4 pm and were told our room was not ready, we said we would go get lunch and come back later. We had booked a king size room upstairs for security reasons.The receptionist Cynthia said that she only had a disabled enabled room for us on the ground floor.neither of us are disabled. When we said no, she said she may have a Queen size upstairs. We said we had booked a king room and her reply was that they can't guarantee a room. We had booked this last November. Her colleague overhead all this , intervened and in 3 seconds had our room exactly which we had booked and it was all ready to move into. Apart from this our stay was excellent.

I like the fact that year to year the same staff (Bob) greet me like an old friend. It's nice to see the same people year to year. Since the hotel changed hands to local ownership I would hope they leave the staff intact.

I thnk the rooms could use a fresh up. Room 105 could use a nice piece of furniture below the flat screen. Book case??. Glass shelves in the bathroom for stuff and maybe a tile job.

Room decor, location, staff friendliness, price for site

I liked the friendly staff and the great location. The restaurant was great and it was a cute place.

The beds were so uncomfortable and th pillows were way too soft. The walls were so thin we were woken up by our neighbors talking and another night a neighbors tv was left on all night and it kept waking us up. The street noises also left us with 2 horrible nights of sleep and needing a vacation from our vacation.

Facilities were excellent, for the price. Front desk staff was very courteous and helpful.

I booked the room for one night 30min prior to showing up to check in, but due to a delay between booking.com and the hotel's system, I had to wait an hour before they were able to check me in. Normally I would not mention this sort of thing, but in this case I had chosen this hotel specifically for the fitness room and hot tub, which were both closed by the time I was able to check in. This made the delayed check in a major inconvenience since I had chosen to pay extra for a hotel with these facilities, which I wasn't able to use.

GREAT location. 25 minute walk to Cannery/Bay Aquarium on exquisite trail right through Alvorado St jumping with cute shops, food, sight seeing and gorgeous water views. Next door to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods is super close too. Hotel & staff are WONDERFUL! They are having a great time assisting your great time.

The spa prices are a teeny bit high, but I am very frugal and don't spoil myself enough, so it's probably perspective. : )

We were attending the Dixieland Jazz Festival and location was an easy walk to Portola Plaza. Quiet and comfortable and fit our needs.

Was surprised breakfast was not included, but Denny's was right across the street.

We liked the way the units spaced and in good condition.

We were hoping for spa without a massage.

Tight driving area through complex.

Room was nice, comfortable bed and hotel was conveniently located. Liked having fireplace in the room.
