Convenience to nyc action. Very short walking distance to all my day and evening functons. Staff were exceptional and accomodating. I'd definately stay there again. The room we occupied was adjacent to the exhaust fans of the attached restaurant, Tony'S. The window unit air conditioning drew in the cooking/grease odors into the room. Although they seemed to be filtered at their ducts, the room did waft of the unwanted fragrance. In the future, I shall request a different location at the opposite side of the hotel.

We were not anonymous unlike other, larger hotels in the same vicinity. The ability to return when we wanted to free refreshments was a real bonus. We were able to relax in a quiet, comfortable sitting room just yards from the throbbing mass of Times Square and just yards from a subway station leading to the rest of Manhatton, Queens and Brooklyn. This is not a criticism of this particular hotel - when staying in New York you should be aware that State Tax as well as City Tax and occupancy tax is added to your hotel bill. Therefore, the final amount you pay is a lot more than indicated on your Booking.com statement.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Clean and quiet room. Complementary continental breakfast and evening wine and appetizers were very good. Great location for theatres and Times Square. Very good access to subway. Room was small and cramped. Bed was very small--not a queen size. Window air conditioner blew right on bed and was noisy. Television was placed perpendicular to bed so it couldn't be watched without twisting your head uncomfortably.

Superb location and a quiet hotel in spite of being 'on top' of Times Square. Staff were friendly without being over familiar and facilities and features including the daily 5:00pm wine reception were excellent. Nothing negative about this hotel except that the room sizes are smaller than we've experienced elsewhere in USA but nonetheless comparable to other city hotels.

All round excellent hotel, location was amazing, right in Times Square, very comfortable and traditional styled getting away from that boring corporate look all hotels have these days. The food was great, after a tough day of walking the City it's just nice to flop in a nice chair and have a coffee or juice and a snack with no bill at the end of it and finally the staff where probably the friendliest I've come across, they can never do enough for you. Thank you,you turned a good stay in New York into a Great stay Loved everything about it !!!

We love the location adjacent to Times Square, walking distance to most of the shows. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the small size of the hotel achieves an intimacy not seen in bigger places. This is our third or fourth stay at the Casablanca. It's a bit noisy, but that comes with the city location.

I liked the breakfast area and the bathroom; the lobby, elevator, and the hallways were worn and uninspired. Thank you. Our room had an overdose of air freshener and there was no view. We had an acceptable visit, but unless the lobby and some details were upgraded, we would not stay there again.

If you want to be in the heart of Times Square and Broadway, location is excellent. Continental breakfast was good and the option to have tea and coffee all day was also good. Wine and cheese in the evening also very good Hotel was very noisy as located right on Times Square. Rooms were quite small even though we paid extra for a deluxe room. The overall cost per night did not represent value for money. I had a friend staying at a luxury hotel opposite Central Park with a large, quiet room with breakfast and free internet for the same money. Sometimes I think we get carried away with the concept of "boutique hotel"

Very comfortable oasis of calm in central nyc just off Times Square. Well appointed room with luxury touches. Helpful and attentive staff. Next door restaurant, Tony's, is a popular Italian family restaurant with great value food and a buzzing atmosphere. For those craving a cooked breakfast, there is a very good diner on the other side of the hotel, though prices reflect the city centre location. Although drinks were available at all times in the second floor lounge, we would have preferred tea making facilities in the room. The continental breakfast included cereals, fruit, bread and pastries, but only cold boiled eggs, no cheese or cold meats as we expect in Europe.

The friendliness of all the staff including the general manager. The very 'homely' feel about the hotel. The fact that they laid on coffee and refreshment for guests throughout the day and provided a wine and cheese reception each evening. The room we had was too noisey. The hotel was over priced compared with other hotels we stayed at. I would recommend this hotel were it not for these two issues.

To all the staff at the Casablanca Hotel we wish to express our sincere thanks for helping to make our stay in NY so enjoyable and memorable. The staff were beyond excellent and the hotel itself was a haven amonst the madness of NY. We were truly sorry to leave you. Thanks again and a particular thank you to the lovely staff in Rick's Cafe. It was a very memorable part of our time in the USA and we will be back soon. Marylyn & Jim Bennett

It was lovely to have drinks available throughout the day. The breakfast provided a good selection and set us up for the day ahead. Unfortunately we weren't able to take advantage of the cheese and wine, but it was good to know that if we were around, we could have had an evening snack.

The location just off Time Sq was perfect as it was the lower end and close to many attractions. The cheese and wine from 5 to 8pm set you up for the evening and the 24hr cafe for snacks and drinks was enhanced by the excellent breakfast buffet. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and the safekeeping of our luggage after we had checked out until we had to leave was excellent. Its certainly a hotel to visit again and I’m wondering if everyone enjoys it like we did, how much harder will that be? Our room was at the back and did have some noise (ac?) but not as much as you can experiance in a city hotel.

Location so close to Time Square but so quiet. The interior deco was amazing and full of atmostphere. Delightful little garden even though we didn't have time to use it much. We loved the evening cheese and wine receptions and the live piano lounge music on Friday evening, so relaxing! Breakfasts gave good range and choice of continental food. Staff were very helpful and friendly and genuinely interested in making our stay very memorable. Casablanca proves small hotels can be the best. Our bedroom was a little small by the time we put down 2 large suit cases . We couldn't close the bathroom door.

Location is the best! Right on the corner of Time square in the middle of the theater district, beside the nypd and the subway ! It's very clean and no bedbugs !!!. I loved the breakfast which is included and generous. There is also complimentary wine, cheese, crackers and fruits from 5 to 8 pm! Nice time to mingle also with other travelers. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Being a female solo traveler, I felt safe, whatever hour I came back. It can get noisy at night (trucks from street) but hey! Considering the location, one cannot complain! Put on my ipod and all was fine!

The friendliness of the staff and the availability of breakfast and all day snacks was great. Ricks Cafe was cozy and quiet and the ability to sit and eat breakfast without the TV blaring in your ear was a godsend! Casablanca is a haven of peace and sanity in a crazy vibrant but full-on city! Couldn't hear the traffic but could hear the sirens, which seem to be constant. But then, 100m from Times Sq- what would you expect?

Great location just off Times Square. Lovely helpful staff. Spacious and comfy room, with little luxuries like bathrobes, slippers and toiletries. Complimentary coffee, pastries, cheese & wine in the piano bar. Free internet access was useful for printing off our boarding passes to come home! Couldn't decide between Casblanca & Waldorf Astoria, but definitely feel we made the right choice! Only one negative and then not a problem - the shower could have been better!
