Great location close to plaza- could easily walk to all the downtown area attractions. Yet, it was also on a quiet side street, so we weren't bothered by noise or too much traffic. The living space itself was nicely decorated, and had everything we needed, and the furniture was quite comfortable.
We were there in the fall, and the nights were chilly- seemed to take longer than usual for the heat to work, although it did eventually. The only other minor issue we noticed was that 2 of the cooking pans need replacing as the bottoms had been burned and couldn't be truly cleaned.
Bathrooms too tiny for humans!
The casita was perfect! Pretty, quiet, safe. We traveled as one couple and a single. I would feel very comfortable staying by myself. 2 floors! the two bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. A full bath on 2nd floor, 1/2 bath on 1st. it was immaculate! We walked back and forth to the Plaza several times. The value is off the chart. I can wait to contact Mary Ann for a return trip!
Can't think of a thing
It felt like an apartment.
The bathroom was very small.
Great location, parking, and internet connectivity.
(Unsure whether all units are managed as one or individually ...). Worst aspect was the sheets - elderly flannel sheets (in summer) with significant pilling - v grungy! Freezer unit of fridge lined by inches of ice. Blind cords tangled in knots. Could use a freshening coat of paint inside.
This was the perfect stay for us. We divided the upstairs--one room for my wife and I and the other for our college-student son. The downstairs was spacious, cozy, and comfortable. We really enjoyed cooking breakfasts and had plenty of space to invite our friends and family over. Casas de Gaudalupe is so conveniently located, within easy walking distance to all the historic downtown attractions and restaurants. There are a couple of great places (e.g. the French Bakery) to eat just around the corner! This is the place we'll want to stay again and again when we return to Santa Fe!
Wi-Fi was a little weak...but that's OK
The location is great, staff very helpful, and the casita was very nice. All we needed was there. Felt very safe and met some really nice other folks at the casitas. Would stay again.
Bedroom on first floor did not have a vent for air conditioning to get in room if the door was closed.
Everything we needed was in the casita, including a hair dryer. I also loved the fact that it was within walking distance of plaza. Lots of room and very comfortable.
The location, the appliances, the quaintness of the property.
Casita B smells like "cat". It was overwhelming upon entry and then became tolerable. The shower curtain liner was moldy. The sheets were obviously done "at home" and no one bothered to iron or even hand press the pillow cases or the shams. Really a turn off. They should either use a linen service or the maids should iron the pillow cases or use NO IRON sheets. Really lots of choices so you don't have to wonder if they were even washed/.
The location was excellent - near to the plaza but not so close as to have much foot or vehicle traffic. The casita was comfortable and inviting and cozy. We three women felt safe and secure.
The place was so much like being at home. Thank you
Location is excellent. Cassita had very good equipment.
Air conditioning unit was very noisy and placed so close to our bedroom that we couldn't leave it on at night.
The staff communications were excellent and helpful. The information binder was also helpful. The house was lovely and well stocked.
10 am check out time was a bit rushed. I would push that back to 11. The pull out sofa is best for younger children to use as it is not firm enough for an adult's back.
A little home for a weekend in Santa Fe.
We loved the location, we could walk to everything. We also liked the charming homey house set up, perfect for a family with two children. It was great to have a full kitchen, it saved us some $$: we didn't have to eat every meal in restaurants. The neighborhood is delightful, it was fascinating to explore the gorgeous pueblo architecture, we had never seen that, being lifelong east coasters. We really enjoyed walking to the Plaza up the hill, the museums and shops, as well as the shops and restaurants down the main street on Guadalupe, past the church and the park. I would recommend Casas de Guadalupe to my friends, although it needs to be more well vacuumed, and the bathroom mildew situation needs to be addressed.
Casita H could have been cleaner. The closet floors were very dusty, and we didn't end up using the closets due to the dust. The kitchen utensils weren't 100% clean, I washed everything before we used it. Also, we love fresh air and when I opened the windows, they all had construction dust on the window sills. That should have been seen by the management and could have been easily vacuumed. The smaller bathroom in Casita H suffers some mildew and disintegration of the grout and tiles due to the fact that there is no window in it, so the lack of ventilation leaves it too damp. Also, there was a daily infestation of ants.
Someone tried to break in the onenight.
It was quaint and better than a hotel room.
I had to replace light bulbs, outside.
Cottage feel is very nice. Everything convenient. Heating system worked very well. It felt like home!
Small things didn't work: venetian blinds, missing bulb in br lamp. Needs sprucing up! Instructions for wifi in binder aren't correct (I had to call); nor are instructions for the key holder on door (Cottage A doesn't work like that). Trash container outside filled up 4 days after collection.
Casita B was clean and comfortable, within easy walking distance of Santa Fe's downtown.
The parking was a bit cramped, as was the bathroom.
Very big apartment
Facility was great, could c ourselves retiring in a house or setup like Casas de guadalupe. Excellent and very comfortable and enjoyable.
Absolutly wonderful. We booked and arrived late and were still accommodated. The apartment was beautiful and pure Santa Fe not to mention there was a yard where we were able to entertain in privacy. All the amenities of a home.
Price advertised on booking doesn't include tax plus cleaning fee which amounts to almost $100.00 more.
I was surprised to learn that there was a $70 cleaning fee. I don't think this is correct when one is booking on a site that is primarily hotels. I didn't appreciate the surprise.
