the location. Patrick the concierge who was patient, effective and helpful. He merits 5 stars.
I reserved a room (6 nights) 10 months before arrival . I asked for upper floor(the hotel has 45 floors) and quiet room. Upon arrival they put us in low floor(5th) and very noisy one.(we heard the street noise and could not sleep) we found a big insect on towels. (they changed our room only after 2 nights) The business center does not function and we searched computer in the near by hotels. The hotel does not have lobby. It certainly does not merit 4 stars.
Beautiful rooms, great location
Location is great, near Times Square but on a rather quiet block of 45th St (between 5th & 6th), away from the crowds and noises. The room is clean, not too small, the design offers good function for the space. What I like best is the service & hospitality, felt very welcomed by both the reception and porters. They are gracious and warm, always show the willingness to help guests. Special thanks to Adil, the young porter who enthusiasticly helped me with my heavy luggage and helped me to avoid the bad traffic in front of the hotel. The 4 elevators go well, never have to wait long for one to come. I've stayed for 2 periods of time at 2 different rooms, the first I booked because of the location and the good price they offered for early booking. (I normally don't choose design hotel especially a very modern looking one for many offers the look but not the functions, Cassa is very well designed though, they got both, style and functions.)
The 2nd period I book months later and I find the price gets really steep, almost $400 for a single room, I then booked just for convenience. The room from the first time faced 45th street, quite noisy at night time and it turned out we found one of the window cannot be closed properly. We forgot to inform the hotel though- hope they fixed it by now, the room is, I believe, 707. The second room is a single facing the back of the hotel, no problem with the noises at all.
Cassa hotel is in excellent location. Staff could not have been more helpful .Though in N. Y. traffic noise did not disturb us. Lovely roof garden for when weather is good.
Though our room was very nicely decorated and the bathroom was obviously newly refurbished with a first class shower and towels and linens were spotless and room and bathroom were very clean we found our room to be very small indeed. The hotel is being totally renovated so perhaps at other times bigger rooms are available. We found it expensive for such a small rom.
We will stay again the staff was very helpful. Our room was great and the location was perfect
We passed the hotel 2 times just walked right by. Needs something to make it stand out just a little, it blends in
The staff were very helpful and had great suggestions on good places to eat. Location was terrific and central to most major attractions. Room was clean and well appointed.
Not enough lighting in the room.
The staff were helpful, friendly and polite, the location was central for getting around and the bathroom was excellent. We felt at ease and were well guided by the concierge and the bell hops.
the noise from the air conditioning as it kicked in throughout the night high charge for bottle of water in the room (fortunately a duane reede on the corner resolved this) Rubbish view, but you get over that
i've stayed in Cassa hotel from oct 13th to 18th. It was a very pleasant stay, the location was right next to broadway and times square. Room service was good. Free wi-fi.
Great hotel and location. The staff was very helpful with meal recommendations and directions.
We like it all.
Location excellent with everything in Manhattan walkable! Helpful staff and excellent rooms! Will use this hotel again!
Air Con was a bit noisy, but it was October and we turned it off over night. Maybe more of a problem in high summer
The location was excellent!
You here all noise from the near rooms
Lighting fast elevator
I liked the location, the staff and their attention to their guests.
The room was a bit small than it looks on the website but it is the case of all the hotels in Manhattan. Attention to details in the room was missing (mostly in the decoration part).
The employée on the réception were not helpfull!
Location was great. Friendly staff.
location helpful staff
construction ongoing noise from AC
Loved everything about it !!!!
Room lacked sufficient light. Room was very dark.
quiet hotel, best located near Rockefeller center and time square.
lamps inside hotel room not well located for reading as far as you call tell this is anything to criticise about
Enjoyed comfortable clean bed
Staff were so friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable. We were put in the wrong room initially but were moved with no problem to an Executive room. Location of Cassa is perfect for everything Would definitely stay there again.
After being sceptical about booking the right hotel for our trip, I decided to read the reviews and booked cassa 45th on the hope it would be ok! We stayed here for our honeymoon for five day and the concierge staff were so accommodating both before we arrived and during our stay. They helped with restaurant recommendations, bookings and even upgraded our room complimentary! The location is excellent just off Times Square so close enough to walk too and far enough not to hear the noise. Could not recommend the hotel enough!
Location and service was super
