Score from 1162 reviews Very good
The bed and pillows are very comfortable. Huge TV and plenty of space with a great size bathroom with lots of bench space to spread out. The rooftop garden is fantastic and has great views, plenty of chairs and lounges and a Jacuzzi. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.
No restaurant which is disappointing. The included breakfast was terrible and they would be better not offering anything at all. They had tiny muffins or croissants, one juice & tea & coffee. No butter, no jam, no plates. The restaurants in the area did breakfast but over a week we found the standards very hit and miss. The local restaurants for dinner were fine though. The shower nearly blasts you out of the bathroom with no way of controlling the flow, so water went all over the floor.
Excellent location and all is very new and clean. There is a complementary breakfast
Mattress of the bed could be more comfortable. I was with back pain
The best thing I liked about Cassa is the super comfy bed. Rooms are modern and new. Staff were kind.
Sound insulation not great. There's a weird smell when you enter the room, but I guess that's because its new. I'd give 3.5 stars not but 4.
Clean Nice and helpfull staff Good bed Warm shower Lot´s of small shops, bars and nice restaurants in the direct neighbourhood The neighbourhood feels safe. Nive beds
I couldn't find a single wrong thing.
Very friendly staff. Very clean and modern rooms. Roof access is really outstanding. Complimentary continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Location to Javits center is fantastic. My hotel was the go-to spot for post show evening regrouping and activity.
It's a new hotel so they are still working a few kinks out, but nothing major. I kept the window open since there was a faint paint smell (and that worked fine). But all in all excellent, I really enjoyed my stay.
The place was nice, the room was clean and simple, good experience overall
The staff was nice but didn't seem very professional, looks like the could use a better management. The gym was a bit messy
definitely not worth 300 euros or 370 dollars per night (price with tax)
Gr8 staff. Good location. Big rooms. Clean
Ac was a bit loud
It is not ready yet. Not exactly in Times Square No Soundproofing
Central location. Nice and really spacious rooms for NY standards. Great rooftop terrace. Very friendly staff.
Not soundproof at all. You hear 9th Ave all night. Aircondition is noisy too. Not for people that can't sleep well.
Great location; within walking distance of many bars, restaurants, shopping (4 blocks from 5th avenue), and subway. Room was nicely updated and very clean. Elevator service was fast. Free Wi-Fi was a great plus.
There was a lot of street noise. The open shower left a lot of water on the floor. Our room wasn't cleaned the first day there.
No garbage can in the room. Odd shower with no control of pressure
Location and friendliness of staff, who were always ready to help! Clean and airy. This is a new hotel so cleanliness is easy to achieve.
Breakfast was complimentary but was so poor in terms of variety and seating facilities that might have been better not to provide at all. We booked 2 rooms - king suite for 2 was OK but standard suite for family of 4 was very cramped. Coffee was not replenished after the first day, nor was tray cleaned. We had to ask for new supply. Seems like things are not quite running as they should be and this is a crucial time for hotel to establish its reputation.
The location is great. Hell's kitchen is very lively at night: fabulous restaurants and bars. It is also within walking distance of most sights and shops. The toiletries provided are great as is the bedding.
Although they took great care to get the details right: bedding, toiletries, location and design, they failed with one of the fundamentals - noise. It was impossible to get a decent night's sleep. The windows are not well insulated and you can hear everything that is going on outside. This could have been forgiven had the a/c not sounded like the engine of an aeroplane. It was truly unbearable and I've never come across such a noisy cooling system. I would definitely avoid in winter or summer when using the a/c will be necessary.
The location was phenomenal.
There were odd, loud, construction-type noises, often at night.
New facilities Clean large room
Room had absolutely no decoration; looks cold and uninviting; while room was large, window was extremely small: very little daylight
The location was fabulous. It is great to have a modern, white room with a wooden floor and a fresh new white bathroom. However, the guest should be given the option to use the towels more than once - here it was not possible.
There was practically no wardrobe in the room. The A/C was very noisy, almost scaring. - Complementary breakfast was nice, but it had been much better, if some salty items like e.g. bagels with cream cheese would have been included. -Please do not promise any extra discount for the bus to the airport if you cannot keep your promise - just charge the normal price and everyone is going to be satisfied.
Nothing staff and most importantly their supervisor was weird person to deal with.......at 2am in morning I went 3 floors down by stairs to get got water for my kids milk! Room were not clean n top tight to live for.
Modern, clean, very nice staff, good location, luggage service
Breakfast was over crowded and there was not enough food for everybody (but I understand that the hotel was being redone and space was therefor lacking)
This incredible facility at a great price was the capstone on a wonderful vacation. We stayed 6 nights and needed the comfortable sleep at the end of each day. Close to the subway and bus terminal, we did not want for transportation. The staff did not miss a beat. We were very satisfied!
I cannot think of anything we didn't like. We arrived some 8 hours before our check in time and were allowed to go to the room....fantastic!
Location, beds, complimentary breakfast (especially the coffee)
Air conditioning (so we didn't use it)
Beautiful building very central located. Nice big room and bathroom. Great roofterras with jaccuzi. Nice personnel.
Not completely finished (sept 2014): safe installed after request. Minibar still wrapped in plastic. Elevator many times not working. But... the people working ther were very helpfull to every demand.
The hotel and rooms were utilitarian, which what attracted me to it!! Love the rooms, the decor, the materials, everything!
There were only a few things I would have changed to make the hotel perfect! The rooms on the 9th Ave side need blackout/soundproofing shades b/c the street noise is loud to the light-sleeper and lasts all night! the tablet didn't work in the room, so we didn't have any info on the hotel itself other than what we found on the Internet... We didn't say anything it was no biggie! The breakfast was a decent, the pastries were tasty... It was just never enough and the food would be gone well before 9:30 everyday, so I think if a breakfast is offered from 8:00 until 9:30, good should last until 9:30... And there was never any ice for those who needed it and if you asked it seemed to be a bother to get... Also, given the renovations underway (during our stay), there were some serious paint/varnish/thinner fumes in the main areas of the hotel, it was overwhelming at times... All of these things are so easily fixed! The property is spectacular and the roof top terrace gorgeous!! Well done!!
Hotel location, friendly staff, good furnishings and facilities.
Noises from A/C, street and elevator!
