Location. Clean.

Breakfast- a poor selection of dry pastries and overly sweetened yoghurt. No cereal selection. We ending buying our own breakfast each morning. Very disappointing! Wifi was unreliable. We were unable to connect to it most of the time.

A very convenient hotel, close to downtown attractions. Close to public transport bus links and cable cars and close enough to walk if you fancy? Nearby restaurants cater for a good range of tastes and if you just fancy a Bar for a drink, you dont have to look far.

Would have liked a tea / kettle in the room to make a hot drink - instead of having to go down to the reception and use the burco boiler there. Apart from that, no problems with our stay.

The clerk was kind and courteous and knew the city well. The room was very clean and the softest cleanest bed I have ever slept in at a hotel. They had free coffee & coffee maker in the room. Toiletries, hair dry, microwave, refridge, flat screen tv w/cable and heat. Was just perfect and couldn't beat the price.

Location, helpful staff, ability to park your car without being ripped off by hefty parking fees.

Very poor!!!! The reviews were nice so we chose this hotel, but the carpet was dirty. It was very difficult to negotiate the shower (the tap is very difficult to work out). It says there is a breakfast, but we arrived halt an hour before the end of it, and there wasn't anything left. Very very poor breakfast!!!!!! The neighbors were noisy and we didn't sleep until they decided to sleep!!!!!!!! I wouldn't recommend it at all.

Two bedroom suite and free parking. The bathroom was very new and clean.

The toilet burps bubbles and the toilet water splashed out a bit. The parking garage buzzer is way too loud and the elevator is slow.

Good priced, firendly and helpful staff and nice location. The room was clean and cosy.

The fridge did not work properly.

Staff (Marshall) was very friendly and helpful. We were able to park our care and leave it and use the mass-transit that was clearly explained to us. We had a great time.

Sink was very slow to drain.

If you are traveling on a budget, this is a great place to stay, the hotel staff was very informative, and very friendly. If you don't mind walking, you can see many of san fransicos attractions; fishermans wharf, lombard street, china town....I searched several motels for a plalce to stay and was amazed at the prices for a two night stay. This was in our budget, plus it was free parking....which was a major plus for us. Most of the hotels charge you to park your vehicle on their propery while staying at their hotel... but not at castle inn.... Marshall treated us great from the time we checked in and checked out. Would highly recommend this hotel.

They had just enough parking each night. The location and staff were great. It's an ok place for when you just need a place to park, sleep, etc. I think it's worth about $120-130 per night. They do have Wifi, which worked well.

I think it's a little over priced as the interiors are truly "Motel" (linoleum walls in the shower/tub), butThe bed was cheap and worn and the shower walls and door were some of the cheapest I've seen anywhere in the world. Don't bring a large suv here and expect to park it easily. Very tight quarters.

Easy access to restaurants and public transport

The phone was not working in our room, and as we had to contact airline reservations with an Australian cell phone, your office girl very kindly lent us her own cellphone. Also, basin tap(Faucet?) was stiff and difficult to use and also part of the plastic broke off during our stay

Fantastic location, only 15 min walk to waterfront area, 15 min walk to Chinatown. Near bus and cable car routes. Walgreens nearby for just about anything you need and plenty of restaurants/cafes within easy walking distance. Excellent service from hosts Marshall and Arlene, very knowledgeable and helpful re local activities and attractions. We had a family suite, slept our 2 teenage boys in living area, us in separate bedroom. Lovely spacious unit. Would stay there again!

Friendly, helpful staff. Lots of good restaurants at Polk street. Ok breakfast and good, strong coffee! Downtown not very far away.

No safe box. A bit tricky to park a van in the garage.

Car Parking a Little Tight

The staff was very accomodating to assist us with our flight delays and very late arrival, providing us with good directions and ensuring we would be able to check in "after hours". The continental breakfast was also very sufficient.

Enjoyed Russian District location, great restaurants nearby. Continental Breakfast was nice each morning, but would have liked it to end later than 9 am.

The staff member at check in was very helpful with maps etc, offered suggestions re eating and sights. We chose this hotel for the onsite parking and location It is not luxurious but a clean,basic, motel atmosphere.The price was very reasonable and we had no regrets about our choice.

The continental breakfast was sparse and as there isn't really a lobby, no place to eat it. We ate out.

The staffs are friendly and helpful, willing to share information on places of interests and direction to various places. We enjoy our stay and find that it is very convenient to go to different parts of SFO by buses.
