Lots of Ohana on Maui, so we enjoy the location of this property, easy to get around to the rest of Maui. We have stayed here several times. This unit was very nice, our best yet, clean and well equipped. 10- 314. Mahalo for sharing your "Aloha" with us!
The Mai tai party has gotten worse over the years, and the musicians, - please leave the Elvis imitator under the rock he crawled out from under.- eeeeewwww! creepy! The family troop, pardon me but they were terrible. I'll be back to Kamaole but not to this pool side disaster.
Across from great beach.
Only get an interior condo. The ones facing the street are loud and dingy. The interior ones are great!
Bed was a full, not a queen as advertised. Kitchen was nothing like the pictures. Lots of bugs, even in the bed. Tacky decor. Over priced for quality.
Pool & hot tubs were great but location to beach was excellent. Grounds were incredible. It was a true tropical vacation!!! Met lots of other people who were enjoying their stay at this resort
Location, location, location..
Some doors are not functioning: to the patio (screen door and to the closet). Even there is the sign (!) on the closet door with instructions how to lift this thing to make it work! Like instruction for heavy lifters. Two bucks for the safe? Give me a brake, include in the price or do not be so chip. Sales agents is too aggressive - very bad service, we missed a trip because of agent's mistake.
It was convenient to be able to eat some meals (or left overs) in the condo and on the private lanai. Washer/dryer was a great amenity. Great location to venture out from in different directions.
Not set up with enough towels initially, but not a big issue. Mid week housekeeping left plenty. TV wasn't great, but who's watching TV in Maui anyway?
Condo was perfect. View was perfect, grounds were brilliantly kept, parking was brilliant, air con was perfect. Close to beaches. Good sized rooms with extra beach equipment. Close to coffee shop and shaved iced shop!
So many rules in the apparent shared pool area gives an indication that this isn't a particularly child friendly location. There was even a sign saying no sand in the drinking fountain. It stopped just short of telling us when to breath in and out. Also the laid back Hawaiian attitude has become squashed by big fat uptight safety noise and children hating Americans. The pool cleaner was rude and intimidating and made the kids get out of the pool 5 minutes before the 8.30am time period they were allowed in the pool when there was only one elderly woman in the pool. Over the top. Children are customers too. Maybe a suggestion of there needs to be a children only time too!
Fantastic well maintained tropical gardens with a great pool area, just across the road from a patrolled beach. Plenty of space in our 2 bedroom unit.
The room needed a little bit of TLC to freshen it up, A/C wasn't up to the job of cooling the whole unit and the general standard of cleanliness could be improved - more attention to detail.
We really enjoyed our stay in Maui
The condo we stayed in was on the lower level on a corner by the pool, with no car trafic nearby. Very close to the beach and shopping. The room was also very nice inside. We were able to cook our own meals when we wanted a private romantic dinner. We loved the whole experience. Thank you.
We witnessed the pool staff giving a family of 7 a hard time because they felt that the children were splashing to much. I belive that they were just behaving like children and were within reason. The father had to point out twice on the writen rules that they were within the fringes of what was allowed before he packed them up and left.I have children and would have been upset had it been me.But other people may feel differently I suppose.
First room was in very poor shape. It looked the owners had not done any updating. Suite was dusty and very much in need of repair. Advertised to include hide a bed. There was none. We were to a much better unit it would appear you take your chances on the accommodation Owners should maybe held to a certain standard if they are in rental pool.
While the facilities as a whole were very nice and the interior of our condo was very comfortable and clean we had a couple of things that disappointed us. First of all, was the $35 charge and what it was for: a pool code (how does that cost money - we used it twice and only once for swimming), a card to a back gate that we never used and was turned in, Wifi service that we could only get inside our unit if was sat at one end of the couch or on the lanai, and a Wednesday mai tai party and we weren't even there on a Wednesday! Seriously, it wasn't about the $35 so just charge more for the room! We were also told that the first morning of our stay we were invited to a continental breakfast in the pool area (the second time we used the costly pool gate code). Everyone got up early to be ready. We arrived to a lecture on activities and I told a man in the back we had already been on Maui for a week and had planned out any remaining activities were told to leave without any breakfast. He suggested we find some places up the street. The office staff should have explained this to us and we wouldn't have bothered. There were many, many empty units and yet we were tucked in the farthest dark corner of the complex. After a week with an ocean view it was a real downer.
Great location‼️very nice and clean place
we were pleasant surprised by the well equipped unit and the amenties which where fun and easy to get into
it was all good
The grounds were well kept and everything was lush green. The park and the beach were directly across the street. Restaurants and shops were a couple of blocks away. The pool was nice, not too much chlorine. I like seeing staff take water samples periodically to check.
Some of the staff looked tired and over the whole tourist thing. Air conditioner stopped working after day 3 of 8 and it didn't get fixed so we had to do without. Very strict rules at pool. My 4 year old got scolded for being a little loud (she was excited). We asked for assistance from housekeeping and it took way to long to get someone to assist.
Location is great and the proximity to the Kamaole Beach Park III just what you want. Walking distance to Kihei Boat Ramp where many dive operators have their departure. We had a two bedroom apartment, top floor. Kitchen was pretty worn but worked for us. Strange it only had one air condition unit located in the living room, just make sure you open windows and doors to take advantage of the wind which will keep the temperature OK during daytime. Late afternoon close everything and turn on the AC. Amenities in the complex is good, and the outdoor grills available for usage is very well taken care of. Overall the unit seemed fairly old but given the price and location it is a bargain. Cleaning of apartments could be done more frequent even if it is available for an additional cost for those in need. This location will be on top of our list when returning to beautiful Maui.
Staff attitude could be improved, kind of strange since you are supposed to be in "Aloha land". Not a big issue and no reason to avoid this place.
Gardens/facilities very well kept. Location was good, rooms apartments a good size and comfortable,
Unfortunately, I found the staff less than helpful and verging on unfreindly - dissapointed.
Great location and fantastic place!
The unit we stayed in would definitely not pass a rental inspection. So many things broken, old and dirty furniture, dated furnishings and fixtures, inadequate kitchen supplies - no utensils for the BBQ grill! Plastic knives that didn't cut! And so forth. Everything was lowest possible quality, falling apart, overused, dirty. Lights weren't working so the staff didn't put in any light bulbs. Bedroom fan didn't work. Water in bath tub ran at 30% capacity continuously. The cheap paper covering the cheap particle board kitchen cabinets was peeling off in big strips - how tacky. Bugs everywhere. NO fire alarm or smoke detector in the unit. It seemed more like I was trouble shooting somebody else's decaying rental property, rather than enjoying our vacation. How can you in good conscious rent this unit for the price you charge? Oh, there's a beach across the street.
Location across street from beach - an easy walk. The grounds are lovely. Nice pool & hot tubs.
$ 2,200 for 10 days at Kamaoke & that was least expensive option.Yikes! Maui is pricey. Mexico here we come!
-proximity to beach -beautiful, well groomed grounds -quiet evenings -nice pool area
-room was dark and dingy as there was no direct sunlight to this particular unit 10-413) -filthy inside the condo (mould -and rust in bathroom around shower doors, grimy dirty patio and patio furnishings, dusty stinky screens, curtains and windows, fake plants, plastic flowers in vases and other ornaments black with dust, ant traps in back of dirty cupboards, fridge door exterior greasy and black with dirt and grime) -shower knob was very difficult to turn on -horrid bedding (old mattresses, rough, cheap, old, ugly blankets) -maid service only once for a full week stay -way overpriced for a unit that feels like a 1 star in Mexico -winding spiral staircase that looks so nice in the photo is awkward to climb and descend and would be dangerous for small children -if you are having visitors, the parking is only convenient for the condos on one side of the complex, there should be visitor parking on both sides -several of the light fixtures were missing light bulbs, such as the bedside lamps and ceiling fan, which reminds me: the ceiling fans were very noisy - all I can say is that the owners and/or management company that rents out this and similar units I saw should clean up their act as they are getting away with high prices for a condo that desperately needs updating and cleaning while other units in the building are updated and clean
Loved the location and balcony. The gardens and pool area are very nice.
The apartment interior was very dated, upholstery very stained, sofabed in livingroom was awfully uncomfortable. All beach toys and chairs where in very bad shape if not broken, very disorganized, unwashed beachtowels.....not nice!
