This oceanfront hotel is 35 steps from Waikiki Beach and adjacent to the Honolulu Zoo. It features an on-site restaurant, poolside bar and spacious guest rooms with a private balcony.
Score from 172 reviews Good
This hotel is in a great location. Away from the noise and thousands of people everywhere you turn in the Central Waikiki area, but a short walk or bike ride (hotel supplies bikes) away. The hotel is really clean, not outdated and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in a more central hotel two weeks prior to coming here and it was outdated and noisy for the same price. I would recommend this to anyone
Off hectic part Waikiki. Loved being close to Diamond Head. Nice beach areas. Wine hour appreciated. Yoga great. You can rent a car from them which didn't know until it was too late. They need to promote things better.
No gym or restaurant or pool or spa so it's just a room pretty much. Free coffee room just ploy to get us to buy overpriced basic breakfast food.
*Very comfortable and spacious room with a nice balcony and terrific views. *Hotel staff was very friendly, attentive and helpful. *Beach chairs and beach towels available (no charge) at the front desk to use at the semi-private beach. *Decent bicycles available (no charge). *About a half-mile away from the Waikiki "strip" - close enough to walk there but not amidst all the chaos. *Close to Diamond Head State Monument - we used the bikes to get there and then hiked to the top.
Staff were friendly and helpful Wifi available
Restaurant closed for refurb. No breakfast, room service, no pool, 25 dollar resort fee per day but other than wifi not sure whar it included, old building with only one lift. Very overpriced for essentially only a room.
We have been coming to this hotel for thirty years and have seen its various incarnations. We love the fact that it is a mile from the madness of Waikiki. The setting is perfect. The staff were very charming and accommodating, but sometimes hard to find! Love the view from our corner unit.
No-one told us that there was continental breakfast for purchase on the second floor. We found out by accident after we had gone shopping for muffins and fruit for breakfast. The hotel really does need a dining room. I sugest you talk to the owners/Managers of Tango, our favourite restaurant in Honolulu with great food, excellent service and reasonable prices.

The restaurant next door at New Otani Hotel was excellent. Staying at Lotus and walking next door for food worked well, we loved it.
Although there were restaurants close by, there was no restaurant in the hotel.
The staff were incredibly helpful and polite. We had excellent rooms which were clean, well-equipped and were a good size with stunning views of sea and Diamond Head. Good location a short walk away from busier streets of Waikiki.
A small disappointment was that we weren't warned in advance that the restaurant was being refurbished.
Staff very friendly and helpful Location
We loved that this was a mile walk to Waikiki (from Diamond Head) where our other friends were staying, but away from the touristy hustle bustle of Waikiki. The scenery cannot be beat, Diamond Head on one side, beach on the other! The staff were genuine, friendly, & accommodating. The room was clean, comfortable, modern, equipped, & we loved the 2 lanai balconies. We love beverages: Starbucks coffee brewer in the room, lemon water in the lobby, bottled water from valet, wine from 3-5pm & tea/coffee in the restaurant from 6-9am. We had a wonderful stay & relaxing vacation!
Only 1 elevator for 11 floors. No vent fans in the restroom.
Great double aspect room, (#625) , excellent beds, good Starbucks coffee pods in the room, staff genuine and very helpful, beach towels complimentary , easy walk in to main shopping and restaurants in Waikiki , breakfast coffee (FOC) with muffins ( fair prices ) also good. Highly recommended. Note; SpeediShuttle for airport transfers @ $27 good value .
The customer service is amazing.
The renovated rooms are very shoddy, there is no pool, or workout facility.
Great place. Near to Waikiki but far enough to be away from craziness of Waikiki. Would stay there again. Great service and wonderful modern and clean decor.
Loved this place. No negatives.
the hotel facilities were extremely good. Staff helpful and very nice.
restaurant: the service was very poor. We had to wait extensively for our main course.
Staff is very friendly, helpful and went out of their way to assist us. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. We had a lovely view of Diamond Head from our 8th floor end unit.
Fridge in room was quite loud, a bit disruptive to sleep at times.
The staff was helpful and approachable. They accommodated my mobility needs and when my luggage did not arrive with me, they provided the necessary articles for my comfort. The breakfast service they offer was outstanding and the food at supper was delicious.
it isn't situated on the oceanfront, but there's access to two nice public beaches; it's quite far from the central part of Waikiki (15 minutes on foot through the park) and Honolulu, but to us it was ok
The environment and the staff
Location is great!
Expensive $20 a night parking charge
Awesome bed. Loved the Zen look and feel. Beautiful views of Diamond Head and Waikiki.
Not as clean as I would have expected. Parking is super expensive, especially when having it valet parked.
