The room size was good Staff were polite and helpful Plenty of beach towels available Free breakfast and wifi
Dislikes are all small stuff but there are a few; balcony too small to use, thin windows let in a lot of street noise, bed mattress too soft, not enough towel rails, wifi in room a little slow, breakfast was average at best with the birds making it an annoying experience.
spacious deluxe room with sofa area, helpful staff, fast wifi
breakfast is outside-wind and birds
Breakfast is too simple
We had a deluxe room, it was spacious and clean.. I really love their bed, so comfy and soft!
The service provided by hotel staff are impeccable.
Buffet breakfast spread can be better. Venue for breakfast should be indoors as birds feed on breakfast items left unattended on tables.
To many birds in area pooping on tables they were a pain they wouldn't go away ruined breakfast
Class Hotel overall with good size rooms Staff were more than helpful in various ways Internet and Breakfast included Location Bus Stops next to Hotel for Pearl Harbour and Diamond Head, etc
If I'm being picky, then - Pigeons and other birds hassling you during outdoor breakfast. - Not enough fruit variety for brekky To be fair, I've rated Value for Money as 'Fair' but this reflects my Benchmark as 'Europe', which tends to be cheaper than Hawai'i
The location and price suited us, staff were great.
Our room was clean and well maintained all the time.
We expected more for breakfast. Should have wider selection of food. Limited seats especially during rush hours.
In the first instance had a room category of "ocean views" when there was very little of such. Having moved three days later to the 20th floor the views were of what was expected.
Great size room, views of the beach from our balcony. staff were warm and friendly. Easy access to public transport at front door. Value added extra's such as no resort fees and daily continental breakfast..
The breakfast area is uncovered around the pool, which creates two problems (1) if it rains there's no where to go (2) Annoying birds landing on tables trying to share your breakfast ( A bit of a hygiene issue If you ask me)
From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly and knowledgable staff. Room was quiet, clean and well appointed, complimentary breakfast was delicious and adequate and the location ideal. As I had an infant with me our location was safe and perfect with a leisurely stroll to the beach, restau's and shops beyond. Will recommend to everyone we know and definitely stay again when next in Hawaii.
Can't think of a thing!
Great Service and having breakfast included made it good value for money. A bit further out from the shops but with the great transport just about at the door not a problem. Having a laundry available to use is good.
I had expected tea and coffee making in the room. The machine in the room was impossible to operate so didn't bother. A jug that boiled water and instant coffee would have been better. Only a bar and bar type snacks at the hotel no restaurant.
The staff were extremely helpful
Helpful staff and good service.
Had to pay full price for a couple of hours use of room on day of leaving.
Wifi great Location good little far out from the action however it is much cheaper compared to other hotels in the area Clean and modern rooms Air con good
Pool was terrible And the free breakfast is terrible! Don't book this hotel based on free breakfast we just walked to star bucks everyday instead
Other reviews reference crowds at breakfast - believe them. It really is a stream of people that never seems to stop. That said, it is a nice breakfast with something for everyone.
there was a false evacuation warning in the middle of night. it was 11:30.all guest look like evacuate from exit going down stairs and after 15minute or so,finally there was an announcement it was wrong.I was never experience in any other hotel in any place in the world.I will never forget.
LOCATION, CLOSE TO BEACH, TRAM STOP, DIAMOND HEAD AND GETTING AWAY FROM THE BUSY WAIKIKI SHOPPING STRIP. FANTASTIC SPEAD OF BREAKFAST OPTIONS FOR EVERYONE.
FALSE FIRE ALARM WENT OFF TWICE AND WHEN WE WENT TO USE THE STAIRS WE ONLY MADE IT DOWN ONE FLOOR BEFORE WE CAME TO A STOP WITH A BACK LOG OF PEOPLE. THANKFULLY IF WAS A FALSE ALARM AND NOT FOR REAL.
Location was perfect, nice big room, good breakfast, great value would stay again
Air conditioner was a little noisy
The staff. The hotel itself was very clean and up to date.
We are not big on being right on Wakiki Beach. But if you are going to be there this was an excellent location. Breakfast arrangements were not the best. But would not stop me from staying there again if I was to be in the area.
The room and how modern it was
not being able to take a glass of wine up to my room.
We stayed at Hyatt for a full 7 days. Excellent, large spacious room with great sea and mountain views. Guest services were great especially helping us book various activities including the use of their phone to contact tours operators not contracted to the hotel group. After we checked out, we decided to stay in waikiki for the day (flight was at 10pm) and the staff at reception gave us a guest room to shower and get our selves together prior to our taxi ride for the airport - we thought this was outstanding and a great way to freshen up before a long flight home. We are definitely coming back to Waikiki soon and will be staying here again.
The elevators take waaaay too long.. The food/breakfast served is pretty average. For example, we were pretty sure the "eggs" were made from powder. With an improvement to this service, the hotel would be AWESOME!!!!
Staff was very helpful , patient, and cheerful
Breakfast. --//. Cereals variety, no fresh local fruits. Breakfast times --not early enough for early tours and finish time could be extended.
Proximity to the beach and down town shops.
Check in time too late and no provision of getting a cup of coffee if you are checking out early before 630 am though complimentary breakfast was included in the price .
