high floor with a panoramic view.
dirty carpets and old bed sheets
I LIKE THE STAFF VERY LIKEABLE COPERATIVE BELL BOYS HELPFULL
MY BED TOO SOFT MY GRANDSON NO PROBLEM
Excellent value for money. Photos did not do it justice. Perfect location. Away from all the busyness of the strip but within walking distance to the beach and the strip. Highly recommended.
One of the staff members at the pool terrace bar was not very customer friendly. Food was good but we didn't eat or drink there again because of poor customer service.
Views were great. Location was at quieter end of Waikiki. Pleasent and accommodating staff.
Bar was a little expensive compared to other hotels. Price was a bit high for what you got in a room. Had to ask for conditionor twice.
Location has architectural charm
Pay for parking. Small rooms
Location, and nice ocean view from balcony.
$25 valet parking if you park overnight at hotel
close to zoo. public parking across the street only $1 an hour. small pool but great for kids. clean room. no bed bugs.
We liked the location of the hotel and the kindness of the staff. We also liked the room view which was very beautiful. The wifi service was fast.
The room had clear maintenance needs. The wall paper was cracked, the bed had no headboard, there were many stains on the walls. The bathtub was plugged, the room we stayed was located next to a maintenance closet so we could hear the bustling of items being thrown around in the closet. Sometimes it made it hard to sleep. They could've at least comped us the microwave.
Size of room ( I got 1202 which was a Diamond Head, Corner room w/ balcony). Location...being able to use Kapahulu vs. having to go all the way through Waikiki via Kalakaua. Room was clean, bed comfortable, great powerful shower, great big screen TV. ALL staff members very attentive and pleasant.
Valet Parking...expensive and a pain!! Air Conditioning in rooms weak...need to replace Jalousie Windows need to be replaced with glass panes...they whistle in the wind and undermine the A/C. Buffet breakfast was very mediocre...priced accordingly, but not very good...
Joclyn on front desk
The valet, house keeping and bell boys were very friendly and helpful. Very close to the zoo
Front desk was not very well informed and less friendly
Location Valet parking and valet staff
View of the Diamond-Head Mountain from our Room. The housekeepers were very pleasant. The lady at the excursion desk was very helpful.
The room A/C was a bit noisy, but it worked.
Across from Zoo we had ocean view and one block from beach. Would stay here again. We flew over military space a and had no reservations. I logged on to bookings and made reservation in the cab. It works great.
Double size bed
This was a last minute booking after a flight cancellation. Friday night, high season in Waikiki, not a lot of vacancies. Booking.com came in very handy. Folks at QK were very helpful and the room was nice. One night doesn't give me much insight into the whole operation, but I'd stay there again.
Very comfortable bed. Quiet area and loved the sound of the animals from the zoo. The view of Diamond Head and the ocean was breathtaking. a big thank you Queen Kapiolani.
Nice pool, good location
Staff (Len) on check in exceptionally rude, didn't welcome us, didn't explain anything, just handed keys. Next time dealt with him very rude again. Certainly no aloha spirit. Room was spacious, but curtains were filthy, windows didn't close properly, generally in need of a bit of a revamp, not good value for money
The hotel is in a nicelocation only a couple of minutes walk to the beach. All the rooms have balconies. It is comfortable, we can see the ocean from our balcony. The pool area is nice and the food we have ordered from the bar there has been really nice. The beach itself is just gorgeous. There are plenty of places to eat out and plenty of places to shop around. It's been a fantastic holiday.
The noisey AC that didn't work
* Location was excellent being in a quieter part of Waikiki * Staff were very helpful and friendly * Bed was very comfortable
* Bathroom was very tired with puckered wallpaper and the surface of the bath was lifting in several places * The room we booked was very different to what was shown on the photograph on the website. Being a more expensive view to Diamond Head we were disappointed to find our apartment looked straight into apartments in the wing next to us and we had to have our curtains closed for privacy a lot of the time. * Large sheets of broken glass lying on a window sill on the wing next to us.
The location was not that bad. Not a bad place to stay overall but realize that it is so far below a quality hotel in Waikiki.
The room was decent size but really not used (tiny table and chair). The overall quality of the room wasn't very nice. The pool was under construction for 5 out of the 6 days we were there.
We checked into an ocean-view/diamond head-view room, and it was beautiful! The balcony was great too.
The carpets, windows, and most of the furniture all seemed pretty old. There was an imprint of an iron on the carpet from a previous burn accident.
The price. The location to the beach.
Climbing into the bath to shower. The swimming pool being unavailable.
the location is perfect next to the beach and zoon and the strip
the breakfast in the hotel was not that good and very expensive!!
