Excellent location, great pool area, nice breakfast buffet. The staff was helpful and pleasant. Great place to stay.
We were next to an elevator so I kept hearing the elevator all night long.
Having a long day and quite unfamiliar with this hotel. My spouse and i checked in late BUT Brent(Front desk), still able to managed us with hospitality, take cared of us til we get situated in our room. Brent, Thank u, btw. Queen Kapiolani Hotel is neat, clean, a 2nd home for me and one of the best Hotel i can vote for Hawaii... More power and keep it up, QK!
how the elevator works. lol somehow, it gives us a hard time but Brent assist n lead us in regards. what i didnt like is actually fixible;)
Room was a bit roomy Bed was comfortable like the lanai area
Close to beach, spacious room, kitchen facilities, deck with a view
Foyer had no aircon, very hot.
House person was very pleasant and cordial. She was quick/efficient on tiding my room.
Unable to control or use the shower's hot water. It went from cold to hot many times throughout my showering. Doors are heavy and the spring that secures the door safely makes it sound like the guests are slamming their doors when entering/exiting rooms.
staff, close to beach and Waikiki area,
small pool, old furniture, breakfast few options, no bar at the hotel,
Staff was very friendly
The view is incredible. The room is outdated but its clean. The concierges are very helpful and friendly
On our first day when we checked in the gentleman helping us was so nice and pleasant but on the following days after the ladies staffs are not friendly at all, they just care about how fast you can get out and were you paid in full.
Location, cleanliness, breakfast buffet, new A/C unit, convenient to many activities, views of Diamond Head and beach
Not enough lounge chairs by pool, mattresses uncomfortable, pillows too flat
the staff was really nice . i think they are the reason makes the guests feels like home
AC was really loud . i booked a king size bed, they still give me a 2 beds room . they promised to move me but until i checked out still have no answer . food was ok .
Great view and value for money, enjoyed the junior suite will defiantly be back again
high floor with a panoramic view.
dirty carpets and old bed sheets
Excellent location close to the beach, shops public transport next to the park. Stuff was very helpful gave me lots of useful information.
On the lower levels it can be very noisy from the traffic in the little street next to the hotel.
I LIKE THE STAFF VERY LIKEABLE COPERATIVE BELL BOYS HELPFULL
MY BED TOO SOFT MY GRANDSON NO PROBLEM
check in.plane landed 8.45 am.requested early check in 10-11. if pos.was told 4 times room is being readied by different staff.end result ,was we spent 5 hours sitting in the lobby till normal 3 pm check in.we were finally told that they did not get the early request from booking.com.
Excellent value for money. Photos did not do it justice. Perfect location. Away from all the busyness of the strip but within walking distance to the beach and the strip. Highly recommended.
One of the staff members at the pool terrace bar was not very customer friendly. Food was good but we didn't eat or drink there again because of poor customer service.
The staff was amazing. Loved that there was a convenience store in the hotel that was cheaper than the ABC stores around the corner! The staff gave great tips on finding local dining and sites to visit that weren't touristy.
Views were great. Location was at quieter end of Waikiki. Pleasent and accommodating staff.
Bar was a little expensive compared to other hotels. Price was a bit high for what you got in a room. Had to ask for conditionor twice.
Location has architectural charm
Pay for parking. Small rooms
Location, and nice ocean view from balcony.
$25 valet parking if you park overnight at hotel
close to zoo. public parking across the street only $1 an hour. small pool but great for kids. clean room. no bed bugs.
We liked the location of the hotel and the kindness of the staff. We also liked the room view which was very beautiful. The wifi service was fast.
The room had clear maintenance needs. The wall paper was cracked, the bed had no headboard, there were many stains on the walls. The bathtub was plugged, the room we stayed was located next to a maintenance closet so we could hear the bustling of items being thrown around in the closet. Sometimes it made it hard to sleep. They could've at least comped us the microwave.
Size of room ( I got 1202 which was a Diamond Head, Corner room w/ balcony). Location...being able to use Kapahulu vs. having to go all the way through Waikiki via Kalakaua. Room was clean, bed comfortable, great powerful shower, great big screen TV. ALL staff members very attentive and pleasant.
Valet Parking...expensive and a pain!! Air Conditioning in rooms weak...need to replace Jalousie Windows need to be replaced with glass panes...they whistle in the wind and undermine the A/C. Buffet breakfast was very mediocre...priced accordingly, but not very good...
