Cavalier Hotel  

Loved the fact it was on Ocean Drive and the Front Desk Staff were very friendly, helpful and had great recommendations.

Our first room on the first night was dirty and the toliet was leaking. The second room was more exceptable for what we paid ($60/night).

The beach was across the street - alot of places with in walking distance

The bed ! blankets and mattress needs to be replaced! Also no parking for quest!!! Had to pay 20.00 a day to park my car- this was not told to me on booking the room - nothing said about no parking on the web site either.

The rooms were creepy. Had roaches.. Very outdated and smells like mildew.. Blankets were filthy. Had to ask everyday for housekeeping to come. No microwave or refrigerator. Very noisy.. No room service or radio. Curtains were dirty. Very old and very dirty. Will NOT stay again

The hotel is close to everything.

The room was dingy. Holes in the comforter. The tv is practically on the ceiling. You break ur neck trying to watch it.

2Nd night, people talking and laughing loudly in hall way all night long, I finally called front desk to complain @ 6:00 am and it still didn't stop. Third day several women from three different rooms were running from room to room fighting and screaming loudly. Even threatened one of my kids. Front desk moved us to another room.

Very old hotel and rooms ( horrible furniture, the tv did not work, the bathtub was losing some layers) It is time to renovate all those old hotels on Ocean Drive.

The location

There were a lot of thing I didn't like. The staff was not friendly at all. I needed a first aid kit and they didn't have it. They didn't have a blowdryer. They had a limited amount of towels. The room didn't get cleaned on a daily basis. After checking out they did not let me store my luggage until my flight departure time. When I booked my stay it said they had a bar and the bar was closed the whole time I was there. The remote and telephone did not work. By far it's the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

Valet parking the guy took over 30 minutes to bring the car. And I had to dj in downtown so I got there late..

Nothing at all.

Everything the staff was so rude, the hotel was completely beat up, it put a damper on my vacation. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I will never come back again.

It was very close to the beach. A nice place to stay for a couple of days.

A little outdated. Pretty noisy (we stayed during spring break)

Staff Excellent location

Accomodation: airco was too cold and could not be adapted, TV didn't work as it should be, some electronic outlets didnt work. It's OK to stay in this hotel when you're young and only want an excellent location (as long as you don't care too much about comfort). As a family, I would recommend you to go somewhere else...

The friendly, welcoming staff. They remembered us when we came back. We were treated like good friends!

Doesn't matter, the staff more than made up for anything negative.

The staff were very helpful and of course it's located right across from South Beach and it has a great restaurant! What more could you ask for?

As is often the case more and more check in is rather late, 3 pm. But we we allowed to store our luggage! Thanks!

I loved this hotel because it was right on Ocean Drive.. Everything was close by. We had alot of fun

The rooms were dirty there was no hot water it was in protutute area high crime area overall just a horible experience

The hotel staff was quite unfriendly, not only when we booked in, but right throughout our stay. The room was dirty, no bath towels. We reported this; and was told on the phone to come down to reception to collect bath towels. The room fridge was a mess - dirty and not functioning properly. The room was serviced twice during eight days stay. We reported this - to no avail. I was glad to depart.

This place was a dump! The sheets were stained, the comforters had holes in them, there was trash under the bed. It was just plain dirty. We had to stay somewhere else, and after being checked in for maybe an hour left and they refused to refund our money in full. I maybe could have aregued awhile longer and called a manager over, but I just wanted to get out of there and on with my vacation.

Staff was frendly and profesional. Location couldn't have been better. Price was right. Room was comfortable and clean but otherwise standard.

Small room but understandable because it was an old art deco hotel. Didn't like the idea of a pre-check in fee.

It was in the "middle of it all" as some might say.

The bar staff was more concerned about waiting on themselves then they were the guests!

This is by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Our room was nicotine brown colour, the bedding looked like it had been bought from a charity shop, the towels were paper thin, the toilet wouldn't flush properly, the tv had only one channel !!!!!! We did speak to the receptionist who changed our room, the bedding was a little better but there was no smoke alarm only bare wires, the handle on the sink tap was missing, paint peeling off the painted tiles, the window blind was rotting with the sun exposure !!!!! Value for money never we could have stayed in a desent hotel in London the price we paid and no breakfast!!!! Recommend No. We spoke with the Information Centre in South Beach and they said "please put bad review so customers know bad hotels" so I have.

Location was great.

The hotel was old, needed to be sanded and painted. Needed new comforters, some had holes in them. I would not call it the cleanest place but it suited my needs.
