Score from 310 reviews Excellent
breakfasts were excellent; coffee delivered to room and the friendliness of the staff
location of the room; would have preferred one not off the main lobby
On the plus side the property is very well located and in the historic district. The rooms are spacious and the bed was comfortable. The place seemed clean and the wait staff in the a.m. was kind.
We arrived mid afternoon and no one was there to check us in. We called and were told to come back later, which we did. We were checked in by the owner's 13 year old daughter who asked if we had special needs. I told her I was gluten free, that was all. That evening one of the window shades tumbled from its holding when we tried to pull it down. We got it back in with help from the owner but it stayed down the whole weekend. The next morning the hot water was cold and there was no black tea offered in the box left outside our door. The second morning the same exact issue. The first morning the eggs were stone cold, the second lukewarm. On the first morning I was served two items with gluten, which I did not eat and then the second day my serving of fruit was deemed gluten free because it did not have blueberries. Go figure. The lobby was not conducive to sitting and relaxing, the decor was overpowering and stifling, and the noise outside our window from passing tours was absurd. All in all not good value for money despite the owner giving me an unasked for 10 percent discount--for all my issues-- at checkout. Other people seemed to like it but we we can't recommend it.
Great attention to detail. Gracious host
Breakfasts were fantastic. Best we've had at a b&b.
Liked the location and the availability of parking.
Everything was very clean and nice. Our only complaint was a squeaky bed.
We liked Everything about this place, nice accommodations, good service, fine food & your own parking space!
Huge breakfasts, clean rooms and great location
Bed was a bit short, but I am a bit tall
The location was good, quiet, friendly staff, breakfast was excellent.
Location was great, food was great the staff knowledge of St. Augustine, well they knew where we should go for a great dinner and shopping.
Location and convenience
- Excellent location, close to... everything. - Big -warm- breakfast in nice setting!
- Wifi was quite unreliable
Carpet in bedroom needed changed.
The place was a lovely bit of history. Comfy bed! Friendly staff. Delicious morning coffee.Tastey and filling B'fast.Only steps away from the trolley and the sites. I will stay there again.
The shower curtain could have been longer and the water pressure stronger.
We enjoyed our stay in the lovely old house. The staff was gracious and the decor lovely.
Next time I would request a back bedroom away from the street noise.
Two person shower, comfortable beds, location close to everything. Parking on site.
Would have preferred more choice at breakfast and a option of cereal/ yogurt and fruit.
Location. Staff. Room & furnishings.
It was wonderful to be within walking distance of everything in the historic district. We enjoyed the relaxed attitude at the bed-and-breakfast, that we could come and go at any hour. We stayed in the gentleman's quarters room, which was spacious and bright, and had a nice gas fireplace. It was thoughtful of the staff to provide water and soft drinks in the shared refrigerator.
The Wi-Fi connection was not very strong for our particular carrier.
I liked the breakfast. The fireplace and hot tub.
My TV wasnt properly working.
Beautiful, large room, jacuzzi tub and separate shower.
No spacious courtyard or outdoor space to sit. Breakfast was limited and not as good as other inns we've stayed in St. Augustine. Staff was ok, not as warm as used to. No extras such as social hour, desserts at night, no access to ice or hot water...Carpets in some rooms needed cleaning, but rooms were big, very nice and very clean other than that.
Very luxurious. Loved the location, and the amenities were very nice for the price. Everything was classy. We were very happy with our stay.
I believe that our location was bad for the wifi. Hardly any service. The comforter on the bed made me feel uneasy to sit/lie on, for the questionable stains that were overlooked by the cleaning staff.
Great location, clean, nice staff & a good breakfast
The staff is both efficient and personable. We have been there several times & they are like old friends. The breakfast was, as always, great and conversation with other guests - usually foreigners adds another dimension. Each room is distinctive and comfortable with lovely baths. It's the only place to stay if you want to be in historic St. Augustine.
The hotel is very close to the main city attractions.
The bathtub was dirty, the breakfast was just fine and wi-fi was terrible... Probably you will find better options in the city.
