Chamberlain West Hollywood    

This hotel is in a good location - more or less in between Sunset Boulevard an Melrose. The pool is really nice and chilled and the rooms are large and spacious with comfy beds.

The hotel is tired - especially features like the lift, although the original features are nice it's a bit rough round the edges. The air conditioning machine in our room was very old and very noisy and the windows were also old making them not sound proof at all. When we arrived there also wasn't a safe in our room which we found quite odd - when the staff did deliver a safe, it didn't work. So they had to bring another one the next day.

My husband and I had a wonderful kid-free vacation in West Hollywood while we stayed at the Chamberlain. The rooms were very clean and the lobby had a nice, luxurious feel top it, almost a modern take on Old Hollywood. The hotel is situated between Sunset and Santa Monica so it is central if you are visiting Hollywood and Beverly Hills. The staff was extremely helpful, recommending many places we could go in walking distance from the hotel as well as places to drive to see. Definitely recommended walking the short distance to WeHo Bistro, recommended by the front desk! To top it off, we got upgraded to a one bedroom suite! We saw a few families and a few couples (straight and gay) while we were there, so it seemed like a good mix of clientele!

Modern and Retro (in a good way) feel; not too far from tourist attractions.

Drinks at the pool bar are not worth the money. My Hendricks G&T came with flat Tonic at first and our friend's Mojito's were not great either. Other than that, a very good overall experience.

The staff was attentive to all concerns we brought to their attention. The room was comfortable.

There were many issues. We called before we came to confirm amenities, but when we arrived we had to have many of the items brought to our room; coffee pot, new fridge (existing one broken), safe had issues (couldn't get to lock).

Love the location right in West Hollywood. Loved the bed - the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Like the design of the hotel.

Had a room at the front of the hotel was a little noisy first thing in the morning. Service in the restaurant can sometimes be patchy.

Parking is $36 extra a night. I am from the city and know how to park anywhere but there is none available here.

I booked 14 nights. After I arrived, they told me that I can only stayed for 6 nights because they would need some renovation for the hotel. However, they did not inform me of this previously. This caused huge disadvantages! Finally they moved me to their sister hotel but charged me a higher rate(i have already paid the total amount of the money but they returned the money to me！！！ridiculous!! )

The only thing I can think of is there was a bit of loud construction going on, but not a huge deal. Also, our room keys didn't work one night so we had to get help from front desk/security. It seems that this had never happened before and nobody was sure what to do, but the security guard was luckily able to jimmy our door open. It was a random anomaly. Again, not a deal breaker, just thought I'd mention.

We walked off an early morning flight arriving from Sydney, Australia exhausted and fully expecting to pay an extra night to check in early. But they were very accommodating and while we didn't get in the room immediately upon arriving at the hotel, they got us the first available room two hours later for an early check in.

I'm nitpicking, but the showers are very narrow. Fortunately I'm not the biggest guy in the world!

Accommodations were excellent, and hotel is in a great location in West Hollywood.

Loved the location. Did not report that the lavatory bowl would not drain in Room 309.....very annoying.
