The original art was interesting and pleasing. The furniture in and out of the rooms is custom and very nice. The restaurant "Ma Peche" is excellent
The staff were excellent, professional yet friendly. That and the design of the hotel and rooms gives you a cozy homey feeling in NYC
Location is great; staff is helpful and friendly
Noise level (inside and outside) a bit too high (that there were construction works outside surely did not help); breakfast room design cold; room size just ok
the corner room was delightful with awesome huge windows that opened to a beautiful city view. the bed as firm and comfortable. the water pressure in the shower is adjustable and perfect
the TV stopped working around 12:30am and the pillows were a bit flat.
Comfortable beds, the rooms are a decent size and quiet, great artwork throughout the hotel, the staff was friendly rather than snooty!
No coffee in the rooms, and no espresso at the milk bar. The location, while upscale, wasn't great for stepping out for a quick and good dinner.
Quality of rooms (beds, pillows, chairs, etc.), friendliness and helpfulness of staff, location, atmosphere, free coffee at Milk Bar :-)
The only thing that we didn't like was that there was a ridge along the bathroom door, and it was easy to stub our toes. Ouch!
• excessively noisy: all the rooms at the back overlook thousands of air conditioners and the windows of the bedrooms are not thick and hermetic enough to stop the noise. • the maid cleans at 7 PM. Yet she knocks on the door every morning at 8 AM to see if she may come in. If you were able to sleep in spite of the noise, that spoils your night definitively! • no breakfast buffet • the wifi was very unstable and weak
They were really kind and didn't look down at me for being a blue collar dressed guy. Plus I loved the feel of the place.
Super hotel with very friendly staff.
location, unique design, friendly and helpful staff
Contemporary boutique hotel, very clean, fast check in and out, location was perfect and the shower is AMAZING! Definitely will be my go-to hotel when the prices are right.
This understated Hotel shares a street with two parking garages and is only two blocks from FAO Schwartz and the Central Park Zoo. We had our two 4-year-old boys with us and the walk was not a problem at all for them. I got coffee and some cologne from Trump Tower, just around the corner, and some great Chinese and Steak from the nice restaurants across the street. All of the staff were very friendly and the room was quiet and had a very well-stocked minibar/fridge. 'Only needed a taxi to get to Battery Park, where we caught the ferry to the Statue of Liberty. Very Nice. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone in need of a nice quiet place to sleep, in the middle of Manhattan. Oh, and the oversize "rain-shower" shower head was great too!
I made it through traffic to the hotel unscathed, but I don't think I'll be driving my own car through Manhattan ever again; total chaos.
Great location, very central but away from the hussle of Times Square. Good size rooms, very clean and great shower. The roomservice from Ma Peche is to die for!! Very friendly staff, we travelled with a 1yr old, and they were very helpful. Babycot etc not a problem
The enormous amounts of trash at night on the street, a little before the hotel (from other establishments) gets smelly.
Amenities, Comfy Bed, Quiet room (in the back and up high - right next to elevator but ZERO noise). Great staff. Gotta try Milk's Crack Pie.
Slow elevator (big deal)
The location was good. The room was comfortable.
Someone with the valet service took all the "toll money" we had in our car. Not what we expected.
Fantastic location, staff helpful, brilliant showers. Loved our stay would book again at the Chambers can recommend.
Bed a little small. Wifi often dropped out.
Staff was very nice and responsive.
Milk/coffee bar was not clean and kind of disappointing since it is billed as something special.
The floor has a flood damage...
Good service, clean
Very slow elevators, only one of two working
Great location for walking near to 5th, madison, Central Park. Rooms modern and comfortable- service very good. Would stay at The Chambers again
Bathrooms small- minimal counter space
Very good boutique hotel, near to Central Park and famous shopping area. Friendly staff, WiFi work properly, valet parking useful.
Location, Friendly and Helpful Staff, Famous Milk Bar & Restaurant Adjacent, Daily Newspapers Available, Comfy Bed, Great Shower, Well-stocked Mini-Bar
Liked it all!!! Nothing negative to say
Location, Ma Peche restaurant, Milk Bar, the great guys at the door (I know the name of one of them, Ty, who was always very helpful and really friendly- but they are all really nice). Overall very friendly staff. I emailed front desk my eticket and they had it printed and waiting for me at check out.
Rooms on the tight side. I guess i will never get used to how small rooms in NYC are.
I have stayed at The Chambers before, but in past visits have stayed downtown for various reasons. I really enjoyed being so close to Central Park, the UES, etc, but on a quiet street. The property is immaculate, the rooms spacious, the walk in shower was a huge plus, ans the staff was amazing. I also loved the David Chang dining options.
The elevator needs work.
