Contemporary style of the studio, proximity to the city and local facilities. Good feel in the area.
Décor and location
I was on a business trip and my wife accompanied me. We stayed for a week. I checked into Studio 22 which was the only one available during online booking. It had a double bed, a kitchenette and a bathroom. My flight arrived after midnight and Mark, the front desk manager, offered excellent hospitality. He made me and my wife coffee and while we were zipping, he took care of the documentation and later led us to our room across the street, assisting with the luggage. Room was newly decorated, tidy and clean with all supplies in place. Room cleaning service was scheduled daily after 1600 which caused me inconvenience. Having reflected to the management, they put it forward to around 1400. Overall, a nice experience.
The cleaning ladies were not very professional. On one occasion, they did not take away towels I left in the tub (meaning I wanted them replaced). On other occasions, toiletries were not topped up. My studio only had a small shelf for hanging clothes like tees (not long enough for shirts or trousers), no proper wardrobe even though it's supposed to accommodate two people. Also, would be nicer to have separate shower and tub.
Location in Boston Comfort of the studio
many things are great .
however,i can only watch TV program on one channel which bright a little boring .
The setting, the cleanniness.
I think they should put more place to hanger pants and jackets.
The room we stayed in was beautiful, very neat, tidy and spacious! Room decor was warm and pleasant. Location wise it is close to the main Backbay train station.
Because we stayed in the studio rather than the main hotel, we couldn't find the check-in reception. As tourist and first time going to Boston we have to walk around 4 blocks to find hotel check in. Would appreciate if there was notification on separate hotel check in address. Staff help was average.
The location was absolutely incredible. Right in the heart of the city
The room was a tad bit small, but still worth the money.
Well appointed, modern, close to back bay station and the restaurants of the south end
Ideal location, could walk to fabulous Boston, South End Restaurants. Loved the dual head steam shower, and large spacious bathroom. Private, gated off street parking was also a plus.
You have to check in at the Chandler Inn, and then drive over to the studios. Not horrible, but it was very very cold the night I checked in.
The room was relatively clean, great location.
When I first checked in I was given the wrong access code and locked out of my room. I didn't use the coffee pot or machine because they were very dirty. After I checked out, the hotel charged my credit card twice, with different amounts. The staff was rude to me and didn't apologize. I would have gone back because the hotel was nice, I will not be going back due to their poor customer service.
Can't beat the location for being in Boston/South End. Available parking in their courtyard is a plus.
Keyless entry system a bit of a pain (slow).
My 4th time staying at the Chandler Studios and it is always quite and comfortable. Always 4 or 5 big fluffy towels!
Wish the bathroom products were of higher quality. When traveling I can't always bring my favorite shampoos, etc.
Very clean and well kept. I felt comfortable during my stay. Enjoyed the keypad over the typical hotel cards. And enjoyed the very contemporary feel of the room. Staff was accommodating for late/early checkout/checkin.
Quit the room is nice and comfortable
One of the staff members assumed that I didnt have a reservation with them took them 20 mins to figure out what happened! They were rude!
Everything was perfect. Great front desk staff, clean and spacious room, perfect location with subway to central Boston, and supermarkets nearby, we had a great stay here! Will definitely choose Chandler Studios again if we come back to Boston.
very modern and clean accomodation in a quiet area
Nice comfortable really quiet staying again feb of 2014
Very modern chic and luxurious apartment
Very very expensive for a room in a building that has no catering Or restaurant or bar in same building .. 700 dollars for two nights ..!!! Also the key pads that open the doors to your room stick and it takes quite a while to access your own room . Yes I knew it would be expensive but I would have expected a lot more amenities .. Overall a modern and contemporary aparment without a food option at this price is far far to highly priced
Great location, spacious bathroom and clean bedroom.
Everything, got upgraded to executive suite, double balconies, stunning city view!
Price for parking but it is a city area
great location within easy walk of shops and central Boston, yet away from the main bustle; plenty of eateries (especially Billy's diner just across the road for breakfast) and supermarket opposite; really appreciate having own kitchenette with fridge; very fresh and great roomy bed
-only 1 dining chair and no comfy seats (not that we were sitting around much!) -NB when you arrive check in is at Chandler Inn along the road
The bed is comfortable, the parking convenient and the cleanliness is superb!
The seating is minor--very cramped and stark.
Great location, great price, really clean and staff fantastic. Would definitely stay again
The room was spacious, the kitchenette was great and had almost anything a traveler could need. The styling was very modern but not cold. Parking is gated, which was helpful. It is located in a very nice part of the Back Bay and convenient to many areas.
The security system to get in the building had some issues. Its regrettable that the check-in office and concierge/manager is around the corner from our actual suite.
