rooms are far too small for the price. breakfast area too small. no coffee facility in the rooms.

We booked a King room and were upgraded to a room with two double beds which was great as I was travelling with my 19-yr-old daughter and she wanted her own bed. They also put us on a higher floor, away from the elevators. A nice, elegant boutique style hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Staff were very helpful, friendly and courteous. Not one person was unpleasant. Management offered complimentary wine&cheese to offset the construction inconvenience and closure of the bar area.

Noisy heating/AC that could not be adjusted. It was a sunny, warm week in NYC during our 6 days and the room was too warm and that made sleeping difficult for me. My daughter thought it was fine, had no problems. Room is the smallest I have stayed in for NY for a room with two beds. It suited us though since we were only there to sleep for the most part. Elevators are slow. Bathroom was a decent size but pedestal sink meant challenges in placing items like toothbrushes, hair dryer, etc. No tub but a large glass shower. A tub would have been nice to soak our aching feet! Bar fridge allowed us to put our own drinks in. Small wndow - not much of a view but we are surrounded by larger buildings. Lots of construction in the area and hoarding, so the exterior looks poor. No bar or restaurant facilities on-site. We did not try the breakfasf that was offered for $16 in the morning.

The whole staff is so welcoming, courteous, smiling and attentive. The room was very comfortable, well decorated and spacious. This hotel was renovated very tastefully. It's a beautiful, elegant hotel that is quiet which is rare in New-York City. I loved the bathroom, the robes and towels were very soft and it was extremely clean. I will definitly be back, this is a gem.

Everyone was very friendly. One of the Porters even remembered us from last summer. Location is excellent, close to many major destinations, yet the area around the hotel is quiet. We were upgraded to a suite when we arrived so room was amazing.

No restaurant at the hotel. Price was $100 per night more than when we visited last year.

Location is ok, no real road noise. Staff are friendly. Free Wifi was nice touch.

Didn't sleep a wink in this hotel. Noisy Air-Con/Heater, noisy fridge, both making clunky noises all night long. Noisy lift , kept me away also. Tiny ensuite bathroom, no room for my own toiletries. Double bed, is 2 singles stuck together. If it was a budget hotel then I could over look these problems, but for the price, this hotel is terrible.

This place is amazing. This is due to two facts or more. It's super clean, elegant, perfect location, but most importantly: people. The staff make all the difference, from Mili from the day shift, to Walter from the night shift, to every one from the front desk and the guys ( bellboys) who help u carry your stuff and open the door for you. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

I wish the rooms were more spacious, but u can't have it all and this is nyc after all. Breakfast needs to be cheaper. A coffee and tea making machine in the room would be nice.

The hotel is clean and recently renovated, the stuff is responsive.

- No decent breakfast (there is only continental breakfast) - Internet speed is bad.

I wouldn't stay anywhere else! Amazing staff people and lovely hotel. Best location.

The staff was wonderful! Everyone was polite and attentive. They all went out of their way to make our trip a pleasant experience.

Well run, comfortable, very clean with excellent housekeeping, turn down service.. Free tea coffee allday. Good option if at a good rate -would stay again.

No hot breakfast option, the area (little Korea) is a but mixed go a few blocks and you can find good shops, restaurants...

Good location in heart of New York. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

Rooms are small in comparison to other New York hotels. Noise of traffic etc could be heard from my room even though I was on the 10th floor and my windows were closed.

The hotel was very conveniently located being only 3 blocks from the Empire State building. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a very pleasant lounge to relax in with complementary tea & coffee. The bed was very comfortable.

The bathroom was quite cold - a heated towel rail would have been good. Also, the only way to turn on the shower was to actually stand in it and wait until the water turned hot! It was a shame that the hotel doesn't have a restaurant but we understand that one is being built.

Free Internet. The Staff was friendly and so easy to deal with.

My room was on the 5th floor over 31st street. Street noises disrupted my sleep and construction across the street started at 6:00 am. Noisy - even for NYC. Staff was friendly, but not well acquainted with local restaurants in the area.

The room and the bathroom were very clean, the service was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful and nice. Excellent value for money, highly recommended.

Our room was faced to the back of the building, hence the window faced into the patio and the roof. Unfortunately this caused our room to be dark all day long with no indication regarding the time of the day or the weather outside. But in New York there is no reason to stay in your room during the day anyway.

Hotel Chandler is extremely conveniently located between two subway lines making it very easy to get around. The facility was immaculate as were the actual rooms. The hotel is well cared for and I could not believe how quiet the rooms were. Slept like a baby and would definitely return to and recommend to anyone headed to New York to stay at Hotel Chandler.

I really liked how clean the hotel was kept and how customer friendly the staff was, I will stay here again. The hotel is in a great location and the staff is very knowledgeable of the area. I enjoyed my stay there.

Charlie the concierge was AWESOME!! His knowledge of city was second to none and was extremely helpful. From the time we arrived the staff was courteous, available, and helpful.
