Location was great - 5 min from Empire State Building. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Lounge area and lobby area recently redecorated. A great hotel - would recommend! Free wireless and LAN in the rooms and throughout the hotel.
Having to login to the wireless every time you wanted to use it. Not the fault of the hotel, but the internet provider should allow this
Friendly, easy going, professional staff. The room was clean with alot of storage space. In walking distance to alot of the city.
The staff at the Chandler were attentive and professional. The room clean and comfy. The bed as comfortable as mine at home, firm yet soft on top. The bath was huge especially compared with the room size. Note to self: book larger room next time. Next time also, eat at the hotel's restaurant. It rreceived a Michelin star!
The elevators were a bit shabby. The public spaces though nicely decorated were a bit drab, for my taste.
Have also stayed there with my family on vacation. Enjoyed it every time!
The staff was friendly and very helpful
The bed a little lumpy
The staff. The location. The beds. The quiet surroundings. The nice warm cosy enviroment of the hotel. the willing to fulfill every need of the gueste and the beauty of the hotel.
Rooms a bit Crowded and one must book the superior room to feel comfortable. Tho rooms in New York are usually small... so if you are in town for just few days the queen room is quite enough.
Clean, reasonably convenient. It's close to everything but also not that close. You will have to walk a little bit to the subway. The French guy at the reception was cute with a very nice french accent.
It was a little pricey. But since it's NYC I guess it's a good price.
Friendly staff, lovely lobby with fire and comfy chairs to enjoy your complimentary tea & coffee. Great location. Fab shower!
Slow lift, compact bathroom and antiquated hearing system.
location interesting bar and knowledgable bar tender quiet room
no front entry ramp from street and no-one to assist with bags until we'd hauled them inside. dinner menu-innovative fine dining but restaurant full.Alternative -eat at bar or room service but food not appropriate for easy light dinner for tired travellers before bed.
Beautiful room, very classy. Lovely friendly staff and free unlimited tea and coffee.
They have to respect visitor of newyork.
Good, central location next to Empire State Building. Clean room.
Our room (Superior Queen on 3rd floor) was very small and dark, slightly claustrophobic... Our "view" was a brick wall.
Very good for the money, perfect room.
They put us in a handicap room which we did not need. But this was probably the only deluxe room as the hotel was full
Located perfectly in mid town to access everything by foot, if you're prepared to walk.
The rooms are small but this is NYC, and the bed was squeaky but otherwise comfortable
Location and staff are friendly and generally quick to solve any problem of assist with a guest's needs and or requests.
Lost heat in room and had to transfer to another room at 2 AM. The bar is not opened on Sunday. I suggest free wine to hotel guests on Sunday between 4:30 - 6:30 as they had done during construction of the bar and restaurant a year or so ago. We were charged an extra $20/day to have a chair in the room. We were refunded the $20/day by management due to losing the heat in our room.
This was an awesome overnight pick for my husband and me! Everything was great and we knew nothing about it ahead of time. We would definitely return again!
Room was a little too warm overnight as we are used to a cold bedroom. Not worth complaining about though.
Great boutique hotel. Thoughtful and upbeat staff. Comfortable.
Great room and location.
I just love this hotel and there is nothing negative I can say.I think the privacy and surprisingly it is a very quiet hotel and if you stay at the back or side you practically here nothing from the outside.Everything is first class so come on tourists to Nyc stay at this hotel!
We felt like everyone was glad we came.
Very neat and clean. Very nice staff. Free WiFi.
Stiff beds and pillows. The toilet had plumbing issues and kept making rocket ship noises all night. Bad night sleep. Informed hotel. They will fix the issue. They did apologize for problem.
Nice hotel with friendly staff. location suited us but we didnt mind walking everywhere
nothing in particular
value for money.
Free coffee 24/7 is a great service that the hotel is offering to the guests, but often there was no fresh coffee and warm water.
The staff really went out of their way to accommodate requests and make our stay enjoyable.
It is not a dislike but FYI some rooms are larger and nicer than others, but all are really clean and comfortable.
