Room floor carpets weren't the cleanest, but fair I suppose given their age. The bathroom is spotless which is what most folks care the most about. Room size not too big (unless you book a deluxe King or Queen) but for the location, worth the money. This is midtown Manhattan after all!
Hotel Chandler was an excellent choice, the location is two hundred feet (almost literally) from Empire State Building, and just as easy a walk from any transportation (especially public). There is a CVS / pharmacy very close, and a fabulous place called Bread and Butter across the street fro the hotel - with countless options for late night (or otherwise) food. They have a very nice salad bar etc.
If doing Manhattan, save yourself some time and just book it.
