Parking was free, and located centrally.
Was closing permanently halfway through our stay.
Good location on the river.
They were closing permanently in a few days, so there wasn't a restaurant on site. We had no notice that the hotel would be closing in a few days after we checked out, so it was a rude awakening and rather depressing.
No coffee maker in the room
Clean large rooms, river view on a walking and biking path that led to the monuments and attractions. Great fish market 2 minutes away. Old fashioned boutique hotel like atmosphere. Free parking.
No fridge, microwave or coffee maker in the room. Wifi in Lobby only. However we were there to go out and enjoy washington and ride the bike path not to be on the lap tops and use wifi.
within walking distance to Mall area and monuments
breakfast not included in price
Nice location close to the DC Memorials and right at the Potomac river. Good parking facilities
A bit noisy helicopter traffic. Area under renovation, Thus not much restaurants nearby.
It was a comfortable room, very spacious.
It was a bit far from the subway, the hotel needs an update as it seems really outdated, the breakfast is not included in the room price and wasn't cheap for £110 per night (double room).
Shower, hot water supply is not stable for both quantity and quality.
Convenient location to all museums are 10 minutes walk. The room is VERY big, clean, but it was 10 degrees, the room was cool.
Only negative - the hotel twice wrote off the price. waited for a refund week.
We arrived to find out the building was to be torn down and replaced with luxury high rise condos and waterfront businesses. Coming from such a great distance as we had, the Marshall Islands, it was quite a shock to know that we'd located such a gem but that it was being torn down in a matter of 2-3 weeks. We hope somethings remain old and well taken care of like this one could have been. Charming and location couldn't compare to anything else so close to the US Capitol Mall.
We didn't like having to leave such a great location on the river. Wished for anything we could have stayed longer than our 5 days.
Great view of the water and a great atmosphere and decorations in the main lobby.
The shower had a millimeter turn between icy and scalding.
Location, lobby area was pretty, rooms were clean and neat, nice adjustable shower head.
The 5$ breakfast was kind of a rip off, no fresh fruit or whole grains were offered, or anything for the health conscious. This type of offering is usually considered in the price of the rooms or as free at other hotels.
Location - It's too bad they are closing. It was within walking distance to almost everything we did.
The property is preparing to close on Thursday (5/1). The restaurant was already closed. The staff showed that. The room was worn with a hole on the carpet where an iron was placed. The wall paper in the bathroom was peeling.
Location. Free car parking. Very quiet at night. Lunch and dinner food.
Exorbitantly expensive breakfasts. Staff rather off-hand - understandable as the hotel is due to be demolished under local development plan for area.
I cant say i liked anything..would never go back..
Front desk staff rude.. The hotel is closing this week.should have been told that.I spent 345.00 on a run down dump and I got ripped off.My 13 year old wouldnt even sleep in the bed.tried to find another hotel around but failed.I would like to report them to the BBB.
Very nice location . Short walk to the metro. Quiet neighborhood. Overall anice place but bit dated.
Location was perfect for us. It has a balcony on the river overlooking the house boat marina. The Spirit river cruise line was one block and the metro was a 10 minute walk which took you everywhere you wanted to go in DC.
This motel will be closed and torn down at the end of April so someone will put up a very expensive hotel in its place which will be a shame.
Location, Free onsite parking, Good breakfast.
Can't find real thing. All was ok.
The building is showing it's age. There is no restaurant. The vending machines did not work.
I liked that it was close to the Metro and the Smithsonian Museum. It was a block away from the Wharf and if you like fresh seafood, thats a great spot. Free parking was a plus also.
People who worked the front desk weren't that helpful and even ignored you when you waiting at the front desk. Rooms are dark, dirty and comforter looked like it wasnt washed in years. The TV was small and blurry. Disappointed, but you get what you pay for.
Nice location. Close to where we needed to go. Staff was exceptional.
Restaurant was closed. Outdated décor. Very nice visit though.
Parking is good.
I did not use wi-fy internet.
There was no dining facility onsite. I understand that the hotel will be permanently closed on April 30, 2014 due to the revitalization of the Waterfront.
free parking and location.
1. wifi not working for iphone and opad. 2. The front double door closed all the time. It made difficulty to carry into the small door --only right side small door opened. 3. The bathroom--shower room is cold and the water is too cold or too hot, not control well. Too old(; 4. TV is too old. all the stuff in room are too old.
