Bed was way to high.....Staff was texting when I was trying to get their attention.
Nice Hotel and Location.
kind of old, blinds allow for light to come inside the room. Bed not to comfortable. Breakfast is not a true breakfast,. more like bakery and cereal in a box
location, pretty close to the main street
I am a petite older woman and my suggestions for my particular room (#14) are: 1. A two-sided magnifying portable mirror attached to wall on an extending arm. 2. Brighter lighting in the area with the sink and the wall mirror. 3. a small step bench to get on the bed and to use when washing at the sink. 4. the sink area is lovely but much too high for me to wash my face comfortably, either lower the sink or provide a lovely step stool of some type.
I reserved the least expensive room and found it enchanting. The room is comfortable and aesthetic. Noise level is low. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated. (So much lovely detail) The staff is welcoming and it is excellently located.
The room smelled very strongly of bleach. I sat in a chair at the dining table in the lobby and could feel all the springs.
Location is great.
I think the prepackaged Danish should go. The faucet in the room needed some attention.
This hotel has a great location. It is located in the heart of town easy asscess to Bart's book, shelf road and local shops
Really enjoyed the ambiance, the lovely artistic tile work around the property, warm jacuzzi and I also had fun meeting other guests. Cozy, good beds were high off the floor, with charming antique furniture in the room. Tammy at the front desk was very informative and friendly. Will be staying here again and thank you Chantica.
There staff messed up our booking date and we were put in the "Hotel Staff" quarters in the lobby!!! There was no mention price adjustment or another type of compensation. We were told "we were lucky that we even got a room".......
The staff was wonderful.
handicap room - trash can blocks easy entrance - bed legs protrude (we both got bruised) - shower needs towels at entrance making difficult entry & exit - hair dryer broken - tripped on raised tiles - floor not clean (dark grease marks) - headboard bangs against wall - no place to put suitcase - only one chair and no table - on & off humming from housekeeping room next door - breakfast sad - cluttery office
location and antiques in lobby
There was no hot water Sunday morning. We tried off and on for about 30mins. We didn't say anything, because we were just driving home and it didn't mess up our day
Everyone at the réception. The jacuzzi.
Needs some refurbishing.
Serve-yourself breakfast was included. Snacks and bottled water were available. Clever use of antique furniture in the rooms.
The beds and pillows were like sleeping on a slab of cement. We asked for extra blankets were given ones with wholes in them. The furniture was outdated and the lights didn't work in the kitchen/bathroom area. The patio furniture was less than inviting.
The location and staff were friendly. We didn't get a chance to the the pool but looked nice and clean
Bed was a little too high for me.
From the accommodating staff to the lovely antique furniture, Chantico Inn was a delight. It's modest price makes it a place I will happily return to.
- easy walk into center of town - heated pool (85 degrees in December!) - amazing and friendly staff - Intricate woodwork - overall beautiful rooms and lobby - continental breakfast
There was only one handicap parking space and people would park there w/o a placard or sticker, the signage for the handicap parking was very poor. There was no wifi available, the cell service almost nonexistent. My cell service has wifi calling so the lack of wifi really made things difficult.
The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The staff was friendly and professional
breakfast was booring
the style of the units
Our suite (room 10) needed a closet or at least a luggage rack and lacked drawers etc. for storing clothing over a week-long stay. And of course, with no closet, no hangers. A well-lit mirror for shaving or makeup was also missing. A rocking chair was broken.
Although I had booked two rooms, we were offered the option of a suite instead, which saved a lot of money and served the purpose just as well. The staff was very helpful, really liked them all, especially Debbie and Hilda. The pool and hot tub were fine, the tile work, antique furnishings, and stained glass windows were great. No problems with any of the amenities. Nice strong coffee and fresh fruit in the morning, free glass of wine in the evening, comfortable robes, good wifi, quiet setting close to the heart of the town within walking distance to plenty of places to eat or shop. Almost everything was very clean and in good repair. The suite featured a fireplace and Jacuzzi, two sinks, regular tub/shower-toilet room, fridge, big TV.
Not enough parking for hotel guests The room had too much furniture for the space
Staff was helpful. Hotel was quite Good location for attending the wedding.
Checking in after a long day and being greeted by the welcoming staff and the promise of a glass of wine for their guest happy hour I found my self really feeling like I was on vacation. Exploring the rest of this quaint charming hotel with its antique room furnishings combined with refreshed granite countertops and bathroom, I knew we had made a good choice. We enjoyed the outside gathering places, shady patio with wrought iron gates outside each room and respectable continental breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.
Wifi didn't work and the tv would cut in and out
Location and pool
No closet in #9, and the room was gloomy, even during daylight. We were disappointed that no coffee or breakfast was available until 7:30 am, as we needed to get on the road by 7 for a flight from LAX.
The central location to town and the night duty desk person...very friendly and helpful. The early afternoon desk person ...not so much.
Not enough parking spaces.
Charming. Quaint. Pleasant personnel.
Handicap room was less than satisfactory. Shower, while a walk-in leaked the water all over the bathroom floor and had to have it mopped up by staff. Limited storage (drawers) and closet was... well it wasn't. Lite switch and plugs were behind the top of the headboard and very difficult to use.
Quaint looking, good location, and very friendly front desk staff.
