Location. .cost ..ambiance. .car parking gated
Extra tax think it was a visitor fee
We loved the accessibility of the hotel to the FQ. It is 3 blocks from Decatur which is where the shops, food, Jackson Square, river and just about everything you want/need!
The only thing (according to my male counterpart) that was a bummer was the TV. It was very small and while I realize that a minimal amount of time is spent in the room, upgrading the TV would have made this a perfect stay.
Room had a window on street level. So it was noisy at night with people loud in street and entrance of hotel
Chateau Hotel great, quiet area but within walking distance of French Market, bars and restaurants and shopping.Valet parking only $20/day,staff very friendly and helpful with directions.
Unable to control temperature in room, only had on/off switch,no elevator but only 2 floors.
I loved the outside of the hotel. The courtyard was beautiful. Christmas decorations amazing. The hotel really had the "New Orleans" charm as far as character of the building. Staff was also very friendly. The bed was comfy. Great location!
The carpet in the hallway was yucky, but I felt like the room itself was clean enough. We had to walk up 3 flights of stairs to get to our room as there was no elevator. There were only 2 rooms on the 3rd floor tho so most don't have to do that.
Location was great.
Noisy! Please be aware where you stay in this hotel. Do my stay by the street side or you will be woken by homeless and drunks. Poor quality beds.
The bell hop was very nice. The room itself was nice. The bed was comfortable. Overall it was clean. the view of the courtyard was nice.
The Desk Clerk was very rude! The maid was very rude. The shower needed upgrading. The handles were hard to operate and they did not match. The hot water did not last and fluctuated with the flush of the toilet next door.
I needed some help on the computer and they were very helpful. Everything went well and for a fair value. Things in NOLA are getting expensive. This was my second stay there so I knew what to expect. Thanks
Not like is not what I would say. The room was nice and I slept very well. It's New Orleans for god sake!!! In the future, I hope the area is better lit. One couple asked about safe walking so additional lighting will be nice.
I would definitely stay at this hotel everytime i visit New Orleans
Mo ! He was the BEST!!
The location was perfect, central to the heart of the French Quarter. This is an old and established building so where it lacks in modern amenities, the staff makes up for in ensuring a most hospitable stay. Hats off and kudos especially go to Dan at the Front Desk.
The breakfast and some "expected" hotel amenities were lackluster but again, these are complementary services and quite a forgivable concern considering the excellent value pricing, location and staff. Again, a wise decision to book a stay here if you want to enjoy the French Quarter.
They greeted us as we pulled up. They treated my children great! The location was perfect! Everything was clean and beautiful! We will be back.
Given maps to any destination we asked about.A real part of the French Quarter.
House keeping needs to smile !
The walls were thin enough to hear people through but i slept so deeply thanks to the bed it didnt matter
Perfect location for those looking to stay in the quarter. Short distance to Bourbon St and all of the tourist attractions. The room price was better than some of the other hotels in the area for a similar room. The rooms are small, but that is to be expected staying in a boutique hotel. I would recommend the Chateau to other travelers.
Spent the second week of our honeymoon in the French Quarter 36 years ago and stayed at The Chateau. Loved the location. Hotel was very clean and very enchanting. Great value. Nice courtyard and pool ambiance
Lock on balcony door was inadequate.
Great location in the French Quarter, within walking distance to all of the attractions, tours, etc. The building & room have a classic style, and the staff were all very nice. I would definitely stay here again.
I heard the TV from the room below as if it were in my room, thankfully I'm a heavy sleeper. The continental breakfast was late a few times.
Good location, close enough to the action on Bourbon Street, without the hustle and bustle right on the door step. Staff were welcoming, friendly and had excellent knowledge/tips for the area.
Our room was the first room so had a bit of noise from the road/footpath. Also, do not catch the shuttle from the airport, catch a taxi. Very poor experience with the shuttles, taxi would have been quicker and cheaper!
We stayed in what was called their suite, a two-bedroom unit with a kitchen and family room. It also included a large balcony overlooking St. Phillip Street. We were two blocks from Bourbon Street. The location couldn't have been better and the room itself was just awesome.
I don't think there was anything we didn't like. If we were staying longer than a few days, we might have wanted more kitchen utensils, pans, etc. for in-home meal preparation. But for our purposes, we had a sufficient supply of everything we needed.
Breakfast was hand- delivered to my room. No one else in the hotel industry does that!
Add a piece of furniture (wall console) so that coffee maker does not sit atop the refrigerator.
Was cozy. Close to everything.
Needs cleaning. Dirty toilet needs deep cleaning. Sink handles had crud. Internet said free parking.
Great location. Easy walking distance to most everything. Helpful and friendly staff.
Slow coffee maker. A microwave would have been nice.
The location, the complimentary breakfast in the room every morning with the newspaper, the kindness of the staff
Location Complimentary breakfast in the room Good complimentary Internet connection in the room.
Room phone did not work throughout over stay. The room was not in the main hotel but across the street. We were not informed about it when we booked the room. No latch on the room door for security.
The staff was really friendly and I loved how close it was to the french market and other local hot spots. It was a comfortable room!
It was hard to figure out the parking situation.
