Score from 554 reviews Very good
The staff was very welcoming and friendly. If we needed anything they were so nice about it. Also the hotel was in perfect distance for everything we walked to.
Location was great! Just a couple blocks from Jackson Square and right next to Decatur Street which I loved because Decatur St. Had all the tourist shops!
Older lady at front desk when we first arrived was extremely rude! My room had 1/2 a roll of toilet paper and when I requested more she only gave me 1 roll .... Also the room needed more towels and she wouldn't give me any ... She did have the cleaning people bring me more ... Also the cleaning people never made the bed / cleaned the sheets our entire stay ... Which was pretty gross ... Therefore, I would not stay here again .... I'd go to the Hotel Royal or French Market Inn looked much nicer and still in the French Quarter!
The location was great. The ambience was old style french quarter. Which we loved.
We could get our car after a certain time, they locked the gate. Other than that. It was great
Great location, older hotel, but everything was clean and worked well except water in shower, which changed from scalding hot to freezing cold every 20 seconds.
Clean, comfortable, quiet and 2 blocks from the Cathedral. Close to French Market. Staff was very helpful. Would stay there again.
Room was on 2nd floor. Had to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get to it.
Great location. Breakfast delivered to room was a nice bonus.
Rude office staff, dirty room, noisy (thin walls), inconsistent water temperature in shower
Clean and neat with a beautiful interior courtyard
Shower took a full 7 minutes to produce hot water and by that time the shower pan which drained very slowly was close to overflowing so couldn't shower for more than a minute or two without flooding the bath. Lighting was poor for reading except at the desk. Employees smoked in the breezeway which seeped into the room kind of negating the effect of a non-smoking room.
I love the ambiance and everything was beautiful and quaint
I didn't not like anything!
Being able to forget the car and walking everywhere in the French quarter. The street car was close by for longer distances. Staff are friendly and helpful.
All was good
I felt like the room was awesome for the price, the staff was great and always willing to answer questions. We loved the location, we were able to return offen after shopping or eating and leave our stuff and we could always return to grab more drinks.
it was weird having a room right out on the street because it would make us uneasy at times wondering if we had remembered to lock our door, but at the same time it was cool being out on the street because we felt like we where the only people there. The room was nice abs clean, but they hadn't cleaned under the bed in some time, it was kind of grimy down there and we found a pair of pants the had belonged to a previous guest.( still that would not be a deal breaker for me returning)
The outside space with pool is a perfect oasis in the centre of the lively French Quarter. The hotel itself is a beautifully preserved French style building and the staff were really relaxed and friendly.
It's a great location
The bed was awful and we booked a nice suite, I have slept on floors that were softer. They also didn't disclose that their pillows were all down for those of who are allergic. I decided to take a dip in the pool to cool off after shopping, it's not chlorinated at all. I actually came home with a double ear infection from it. Also they don't disclose that their parking isn't free it's actually 35$.
It's close enough to quarter but not to close
Water was scolding hot.
The courtyard was beautiful!
Very old-school French/European style villa. Location couldn't have been any better and it included a courtyard in the back; 2 blocks south of bourbon street. Parking was relatively cheap at $20/night.
Staff was nice, but always operated in a state of being slightly confused. If you like modern amenities this wouldn't be a good place for you.
Location, bed good.
Shower drain backed up whole time we were there.
I liked the location. Easily accessible to everything I needed. Could walk practically every where within the French Quarter and surrounding area. I also liked that they gave you a complimentary breakfast every morning. You fill out a card with your selecton, leave it on the door knob over night; select time of delivery and voila! Nice touch!
My room was located right on the street. This was during Mardi Gras. A tad noisy during the day and early evening. However, once things quieted down, sleep was not a problem. Other than that, stay was comfortable.
Loved the location and the staff at the front desk were very helpful. There is a coffee shop up on the next corner which made my morning as well.
The glasses in the bathroom were windexed. There were lip stains and hair on them. The wifi on my phone was not working at all but in the hotels defense I was across the street in the other portion of the hotel.
The location was ideal for exploring the French Quarter.
Upon arrival we were put into room 112- beware this room is NASTY and looks nothing like the photos of the rooms on booking.com or the website of the hotel. Once we changed rooms to 220 a balcony room everything was better! The showers had no water pressure and would burn you one minute freeze you the next without you doing anything or anyone in your room turning on water or flushing toilet.
The room was two stories (downstairs ensuite with king bed and upstairs loft with private bathroom) and had an amazing balcony. Some might consider it rundown, but truly, it had incredible character.
The staff was incredibly rude and seemed to actually take pleasure in not being able to provide customer service. ("No, you can't check in early," and before we could even ask, "And no, you can't park, we're full." Then we tried to check in over an hour after check in and our room wasn't ready and they truly could care less.
The lokk, feel and location
You can hear everything from other rooms
The location is great.close to everything we wanted to see and do.
Relatively "quiet" location amid the bustle of thew French Quarter. Great balcony; friendly staff. I had lived in N'awlins for nine years and the Provincial captured the atmosphere and color perfectly.
Small room; no restaurant nearby, no "loaner" umbrellas.
The location was perfect and the evironment of the Hotel was old and charming.
The staff switched between being very nice, very arrogant and direct unpolitely. It rained through the roof in our bath room. The room was very small. Limited space inside the room means that one person had to sit on the bed eating the breakfast. The breakfast was poor compaired what you get in an ordinary Motel for 1/3 of the room price. The furniture in the room has seen better days! I can recommend to take a cheaper Hotel with a better service a little outside downtown for 1/3 of the price and then use the Tram which is running every 7 minuttes 24 hours per day and only cost 1,25 dollar or 1.days card for 3 dollar og 3 days for 6.
