Staff didn't show desire to provide service...not very friendly. Southern hospitality???
Proximity of hotel to other activities
Facility needs updating, carpet was dirty, my bed smelled and woman at front desk was rude about it. Breakfast was included but I had to chase it down and coffee delivered without cups?! Go across street to hotel provincial to see old world charm done right
Courtyard and location were convenient. Not much else
Location, ambience of building
Shower wasn't cleaned as someone's hair was in the bottom of it and our room faced the street, which is fine except garbage trucks go by at 5:30am and walls seem paper thin.
Great location, staff were very friendly and helpful, computer and wifi helped very much in checking in for flights and courtyard with pool was a nice oasis in the middle of a busy city.
There's a beautiful sun-filled courtyard and rooms with balcony terrace access that overlook the charming streets of the French Quarter. Located only steps away from many local sights, I wish we would of spent our whole trip at this hotel.
The whole place, including the rooms, could definitely be cleaner kept. We were in one of the top Penthouse Suites and the WiFi connection was extremely poor; often it only worked during the night.
The location was excellent. Also the Staff responded quickly to problems we had, like the bathroom light not working, not receiving our breakfast as scheduled. They were also very helpful with arranging for cabs, advising us on safe areas, good restaurants, etc.
Relaxing courtyard away from the hubbub
Figuring out the hot/cold on the shower was fun the first day but everything else was great. Keep in mind that this hotel is in a very old building so not everything is perfect like a new facility.
The staff was wonderful, the accomodations were good. And the location was AWESOME!! We were walking to distance to everything in the Quarter! We will definitely go back!
There is no window in the budget room
Location could not be better!
Where to start?! The room size (402). Sharing a "door" in the middle of the room with the people next door that jiggled the handle numerous times to get into our room. Paper thin walls that you could hear the other person unzip their luggage and receive a text. Hair and crumbs on the sheets which when we tried to get house keeping to come they were "off" and had to put the clean sheets on the bed ourselves. In which a very nice valet driver came with two flat sheets and helped us change them. Wifi did not work even with password. No thermostat. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. Cable TV reception was awful. The TV remote was broken with scotch tape to hold the batteries in. No slip grips or rail in the tub. Refrigerator was tiny, rusty, not cold at all, and was located in the closet. Only windows were the french doors. Breakfast was very limited.(I.E. One muffin, one piece of toast, one apple, and one bottle of juice per person). Will NOT return or suggest this hotel.
I liked that it was close to the French Quarter.
Cleanliness could have been.a little better.
Location was great. Charming building gave great sense of historical French Quarter.
Very small room. Very thin walls--could here the lady next door cough. I realize this is an original New Orleans building So we loved staying in it and nothing can be done about the room size or walls. There was a cockroach in our room when we arrived!
The location. The decor. The patio area
It is a lovely quiet place!!
Temperature in room too warm on 2nd day
Conveniently located, nice courtyard pool area. Room was nice neat and very quaint
Bugs in room dirty and smelly room run down
Close to the action
Parking $25 a night. Fairly noisy at night. Cold showers.
helpful staff. nice looking building. breakfast in Bed. nice courtyard. balcony on upper floors. Good TV. Listen to clip clop of horse hooves from the balcony. Aircon good. Apparently it is haunted, but we survived!
You can walk from there to any location in the French Quarter.
Can't use your car at all. Once it's parked by the staff you don't have access until you leave.
Lived the courtyard and location!
One grumpy male receptionist!
Breakfast, porters, location and facilities were fab!
Shower temperature inconsistent, small TV - small bathrooms, needs a renovation to freshen things up, few accessible electrical outlets and the two that were are wore out.
Location & the courtyard
The pool looked kinda dirty, but my kid loved it anyways. Dust the blinds and under the beds... It was just gross
The hotel overall was great, stayed across the street. It felt like it was more of an apartment than a hotel.
dusty closed room with no fresh air circulating. No plates on the breakfast tray.
Great staff, bed and bathroom
Some of the desk staff were not helpful or friendly. Others were great.
The sitting area around the pool was so nice and inviting. The ambiance is incredible.
Breakfast was minimal, but also typical of a hotel of this style.
This was a very European-style hotel with smaller but very comfortable rooms. It is in an excellent location in the French Quarter: near enough to all the action but not in the middle of it, so it was quieter.
