It was very clean and the location was perfect. My room was also very spacious (I had my own bathroom, room 106 on the ground floor). I was also able to keep my luggage there after I checked out when I had to go to a meeting. Appliances and features in the room were a bit outdated and it smelled a little funny, but nothing I couldn't handle.

A perfect location. But there is one big problem! Next to the hotel club for gay men. We stayed at the hotel for two nights over the weekend, our room studio apartment on the ground floor, voices and laughter from the audience of the club drunk, sleep was impossible.

convenient location. value for the money. first timers need to be told at the time of check in that there won't be any staff before 9 a.m. or after 9 p.m. It is not enough that they are spelled out or in print. Going extra-distance to help clients is always a good idea.

Loved the location, it was clean, the staff was more than accommodating and friendly. Bathroom was clean, room was clean and well appointed. We didn't get the breakfast, b/c it was next door at a restaurant, and the servers there ignored us for over 10minutes, so we just left. No reflection necessarily on Chelsea Inn, but a definite disappointment for the Belgium restaurant.

Good location and great price for being right in the city. It was old but very homey and not as loud as expected. Also, they can store your lugage before you check in and after you check out. The check-in time was a little late (3pm) and the breakfast was VERY limited.

I slept super well. Great hot water availability in the shower. Cute, comfortable, peaceful room. Nice staff. I appreciated having a refrigerator in the room, too! The rate was higher than what booking.com said it would be.

Good location, price - perhaps reasonable fo NY, free internet, everything is clean and kept up properly. As the desk closes at 9PM, you have to carry key with you, but it's even more convenient, as you can come whenever you want Every day at around 6 in the morning someone was knocking on the heating The walls are VERY thin, and you can hear everything going on in neighbouring room A bell for calling the receptionist could be placed on the desk, as otherwise sometimes it takes veeeeeeeery long until someone comes The rooms are clean yet look like they need some restoration and remodelling. The cloak closet is rather dusty, and there is some box standing in it

The hotel is in an excellent location, close to shopping on Fifth Ave and to Union Square. Just a short walk to the nearest subway station.

I felt like I was staying in a Bed and Breakfast in Europe. Loved the antiques and old-world feel to the room. The staff was extremely helpful and showed great respect. I will most definitely stay there again. I was directly across from the front desk. It got a bit noisy at times. Next time, I'll simply ask for another location.

The inn overall was very good, staff was good and all, beds were comfortable, heating was a bit too hot. I did not like the heating system, the heating system was way too noisy. This could eventually lead me to go to another hotel.

Great value for NY standards in one of the most charming neighborhoods, with friendly staff and (next to) excellent restaurant. Do note it does not have an elevator.

The location, accessibility to metro/restaurants/shopping, easy come and go, secure, roomy. The too extreme heat in the room to compensate for the cold weather; incredible noisy street all night long; very old bedding and towels; and old shower head.

The Chelsea Inn was great - the staff were very helpful and friendly and our rooms were very clean and cleaned daily which was nice. The shared bathroom was fine as there didn't seem to be anyone else using it. Location was superb. A great experience and I would definitely recommend it to others! The thermostat on the radiator was broken and it was extremely hot - it was fixed but the radiator couldn't be turned off so the room was extremely hot - we had to sleep in a sheet with the window open in December! But the staff did try to resolve the problem, it was just too hot!
