The most impressive concept for the price I have seen.
the uniqueness of the hotel. it was really neat to walk around. the pool tables and bar.
the bed was not really comfortable and the house keeping didnt speak english. too many children running around unsupervised. people throwing trash outside the doors on ground when there was a dumpster 20 ft away
I like the relaxing environment
Breakfast wasn't very good
Breakfast was ok, if you like waffles and pastries.
It was very musky and dark, the air was moist and icky. The keys rarely worked, there were spiders in our rooms, and we had a view of a fence 2 feet from the window and broken lamps piled up on the ground.
very nice room.
Do no stay close to the bar . it is very noisy. They should close the bar 10 p.m.
The customer service was good.
Everything but the customer service was poor. The actual room was like a dungeon, dark, old, and unhappy.
Friendly staff! Clean hotel. Breakfast was yummy!
I did not like that the rooms had carpet. A hotel near the beach should have a different flooring.
Easy location, clean
Pool was closed, remodeling seemed to be in progress, poor free hot breakfast, too many employees in training, limited hours for restaurant
Hard as concrete beds, bugs in room, holes in sheets, pool green full of algae, elevator stinks, rooms musty, breakfast nasty, needs more handicapped parking in front
Good location / Friendly Staff/ Clean Rooms
ice machine did not work!!! Get it fixed???
The outside looked nice and when you walked in it looked really nice but that was it!
We drove a 1 1/2 to get here because the reviews I read said it was a good place! First the Resturant on site was horrible it was like a 80's cafeteria and the food was not good at all and very expensive ! We paid 200 to stay for two nights and later found out other people only paid 50 a night to stay! They listed a pool and that's the main reason for the stay as my 12 year old loves to swim! We went to get in the pool and there was about 30 people already in the tiny pool that came in through the back door that I am sure didn't stay there and they messed the pool up! Well management shut it down so it wouldn't reopen until after we were to check out! When I said something to the front desk I was told there was a rec center down the road! But I just paid $200 to stay there with a pool for my son and now there telling me I have to go somewhere else and pay to swim in another pool!! Freaking crazy!! I will NEVER stay there again!!
The staff was wonderful. They always tried their best whenever you asked them for something.
Things keep needing repair. The ice machine did not work until the last day we were there. The juice machine did not work at breakfast time. My son air conditioner had to be replaced in his room.
Nice, roomy hotel, good price, close to lots of restaurants, beach,
Wi-fi was not the best. AC in room did not get as cold as I expected.
The only positive thing I could say is the hotel staff at the front desk was polite, but they were unable to make any type of decisions. I asked to speak to a manager and was told manager wasn't available. Manger was supposed to contact me by phone and never did.
First the cable in the room didn't work. After about an hour they got it fixed. Then later in the night it was very loud due to the bar being connected to commons area. We tolerated that until a fight broke out. There were obscenities be yelled and a person physically assaulted in a huge gang looking fight. We called police since several minutes passed and none arrived. While on the phone police advised the hotel was just calling in. They should have been calling police and security (if they even have any) dealing with the issue while the cussing and yelling was taking place prior to any assaults. Then again at about 2am and 4 am I was woke from sleeping by people yelling, and doors slamming. At 4 am I had enough and contacted the hotel staff they couldn't do anything and said they would have the manger contact me in the morning. I was never was contacted. I asked again and they refused to give me any manager or corporate phone numbers for me to contact. They assured me again the manager would at least call me. I was never contacted. They would not make any amends for the room except a $10 discount, and I could cancel the second night if I wanted(I could do this anyway with the sight I booked the hotel with). Needless to say I canceled the reservation and took my family to a cleaner safer hotel. Finally the hotel was under renovation and things were dirty and unorganized. I understand the need for renovating, but there was no indication of this on their website or the booking website I used. This hotel was rated a 4 star hotel. It was at best a 2 star--without the renovation mess. We will never stay at this hotel again. I'd rather sleep in my car than stay here again!
Nice area, good hot breakfast anda nice pool for the kids
Few water issues with the ceiling in the bathroom
The room it self was ok, the hotel was sold as a four star and it was at best a two star.
The construction was not convenient.
Two ladies an two children sitting in the lobby sat. & sun. African American kids running in hallways. Even had a bike by entrance door. Two ladies were yelling at 1 kid for being in our way . Idk if they r related to receptionist.
We love the Cherotel!!!!
The room and the hallway was musty and stunk. The hallway had old furniture lined in it right outside our rooms. The maintenance crew drilled holes in the wall the morning after our night stay and accidentally went through to our side of the wall inches from where our son's head was. The maintenance crew was sitting outside our room drinking beer at a picnic table the night of our stay. (Not very professional)
The overall layout of the building was nice. The grounds were well kept. Just a nice place to stay in general.
Room was OK. Bar was good and the restaurant, Picket Fence, was excellent. Front desk staff was excellent.
The remodeling was discerning. The one small elevator was frequently not available because work crews were moving furniture and equipment in it. There appears to be a lot more work needed be done at the hotel. It seemed to me that the hotel was trying to get by on the cheapest way of everything.
Hotel was beautiful. They are in the middle of renovations, but I really liked it except for no wifi.
Wifi didn't work at all. Woman at the desk said it was working and showed me her phone had bars. Obviously the bars were related to her cell phone, and not the hotel wifi.
