Nothing in the bathrooms for use when showering.

Very nice location. Good neighborhood, close to public transporation. My first time in a Hostel, seemed nice enough.

Staff was prompt to accommodate me, despite the fact that I showed up at midnight. The general approach reminded me of my trans-Canada trip as a hitch hiker, when I resorted to youth hostels.

Lack of facecloths and coffee mugs.

I liked the openness of the people staying in the inn. staff was very nice helpful, no frills just homey. i would stay here again.

I didn't sleep well, the floor was loud...the actual floor. squeaky loud all night, if someone went to bathroom. I am a light sleeper tho...need more sinks, and a couple showers were gerri rigged funny...

- Very clean bathroom, clean look overall - Good location

- The wall are extremely thin, you can hear every single word that is spoken in neighbouring rooms. - Some of the rooms do not have windows, which gave it a really cramped feeling. - The doors of some rooms are glass doors with blinds in front of them. This resuts in a lot of noise and light coming through from the hallway (the light does not go out at all over night), and in the feeling of little privacy, as one can see through the blinds from outside at least a bit. - I stayed in a different building, not the main one. This building had no elevator, but three storeys, which made it extremely difficult with heavy luggage. - The 'included breakfast' is a bad joke - selfmade pancakes, nothing more than that! - There were not enough sanitary facilities - on my floor, there were 3 showers and 4 toilets for an estimated 30 people. - The blankets provided are far too thin to make it warm sleeping below them. - The Wifi was working very slowly. - For what I got, even a quarter of the price I paid would have been too much.

Receptionist was extremely forthcoming and welcoming. Waited for me way past opening hours due to lae arrival of my flight and still gae mea tour through the hostel.

Great location and surprisingly quiet at night! Also, great staff.

Staff was fantastic, room was big, kitchen/common area was huge and well stocked, excellent location next to a beautiful new 24 hour Walgreens and the CTA for hugely easy transport anywhere in Chicago. Free towels, free bedding, free pancake breakfast. This place was amazing!

Showers weren't great...water just shot everywhere as there was no real shower head and it was basically just erupting from a strange pipe. My only complaint!

Olivia helped a lot - Thanks. Pretty swanky for a backpackers' hostel - good work. It'll be even better when the second site's finished. Cleaning staff are obviously doing a great job - gracias senhoras!

Noisy heating/ air system in the Goose Island part of new building = a little annoying

The staff especially Wyatt was really helpful with helping me settle down, the hostel was also one the very few that gives accurate descriptions on how to get there and then refund you the money you paid to get there. The. Rooms were clean and the bathrooms were bleached twice a day which was really good... Also if you love pancakes this is the place to be as you will have unlimited pancakes every morning :) I highly recommend ihsp....

Some of the staff had no ideas on things to do in Chicago

I was presently suprised about the entire experience. I want sure what to expect when going to an american hostel; because I've only been to ones in South America. But it was a great experience the staff counter ladies were Vry agreeable. And I plan on coming to Chicago again soon.

This is more just s question. But, do you guys have or would you think about having something like a rewards program? Something like a frequent flyers card type deal. ? Just a question.

Comfortable beds, plenty of room to stretch out, lots of freedom around the premises, close to an interesting part of town, free pancakes, mostly quiet until the weekend when the foreign club kids showed up, easy and unique instructions for checking in/out, and close to the Damen blue line stop. And the complementary Disney-themed towels.

There was rotten milk in the fridge and it smelled bad. That's all.

Transportation was close by. Diversified nationalities.

Rooms too compact.

Just about everything - Very close to the CTA Blue line and some buses, a lot of restaurants and bars around, the facilities are all refurbished and nice. The roof deck is a must in a clear day. The staff is friendly and young. It seems that they do everything to make you feel comfortable - including free pancakes in the morning, and a netflix account.

It's very hard to find anything bad to say about this place. It can be very noisy in the evening , with couple dozen of people shouting, playing pool, watching TV, and making dinner altogether. But I guess it's just a part of being in a hostel. Could use more bathrooms and showers though.

The staff was nice and helpful - especially Joe and Wyatt. Good value overall and excellent location - easy access to public transport and nice bars and restaurants around.

We booked a king room with its own bathroom but ended up getting a bunk bed with a slightly larger - max queen size - lower bed. Blinds were thin so a lot of light was let in, plus glass room door was covered by thin blind that was partly see-through - not much privacy...and no personal bathroom, as we had booked!! Ended up having to share with other guests, but was decently clean and manageable.

Location, value for money. Frendly staff.

Facilities were surprising nice, the common area was spacious and the other guests were very nice.

The rooms are directly adjacent and above several bars which makes it difficult to fall asleep if you're a light sleeper. There real kicker is that the heat was turned up to probably 90 degrees at 5:30am waking me up, and it took a very long time to cool back down after it was turned off and the windows were open. By 7:30 the room had cooled back down less than 60 degrees and construction outside made it impossible to fall back asleep. Also they ran out of towels so I had to dry myself with hand towels. I wouldn't recommend staying here if a good night's sleep is important to you. The staff was very nice but lacked a sense of professionalism.
