Location and price are on point.
Stayed past two weekends. Both rooms need some serious cleaning. Bathtub soap holders were absolutely disgusting in both rooms. Need washed. Floors had food crumbs all ovet this past weekend
The bed was great! The sink drained. Good stay in an old hotel.
The tub did not drain very well, so while showering you are standing in the dirty water.
The location was perfect and it was good value for money. The bed was very comfortable. Not noisy.
Both the sink and tub were clogged from day one. The toilet also clogged the last night we were there. The floor had hair from (I guess) the previous guest. However, the bed was perfectly clean.
Really bad WiFi, dirt in every corner, shower didn't work first day
The free WiFi wasn't work all the time.
Staff was excellent and courteous, called to see were we ok and did we need anything.
The front desk staff were exceptional. Very helpful and positive. We got to the hotel 3ish hours before check in and were told to go right up to our room. The location, for us, was excellent-a block only from Michigan Avenue. The beds were very comfy! I'll definitely stay there again.
The hotel is small. Everything about it is small-the lobby area, the elevators, the rooms, the bathrooms. But it's a great hotel that I booked at a great price. It's definitely not "new", either. It's a very dated hotel. We didn't mind, though, because what the decor lacked, the location made up for. Sadly at 4 and 5am there were some very loud guests outside our room. I should've called the front desk, but just tried to go back to sleep instead. They sent me an apology email, which I think is a great example of how much they want their guests to return. Overall, I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
Are bathroom lights didn't work and the room was so dirty u don't think that carpet had ever been vacuumed
cleanliness, free wifi, close to transportation, and many shops and restaurants around.
looks a bit old. wake up calls didn't work. A/C heat was noisy.
Comfortness of the bed was excellent, and the location was so nice. All front-desk staffs were great and friendly.
Elevator problems occured a lot during my stay. Room reservation systems tend to have them too. I had problem when I checked in, and bothered after midnight with same problem.
You can tell they've trained the staff to provide the hotel's patrons with a decent level of courtesy.
The lobby is smalll, dingy, and poorly laid out--it felt not like the lobby of a decent hotel in the downtown center of a major city, so much as the back office of some loading dock!
THE BED WAS VERY SOFT.
WIFI DID NOT WORK WELL.
nice hotel with friendly staff, very good location, clean.
Excellent location and free wifi
Odl and cold room
Room was comfortable the cable was great me and the wife enjoyed are stay
The showers i didn't like at all the water pressure seemed a bit low normally I take 2 to 3 showers a stay i only took 1
Off Michigan Av. for a fair price.
Old needing remodeling
Prices and location
The fat woman in the front desk was really roud
Location is right smack downtown. The beds are comfortable, and staff are very helpful.
The heater did not work for 2 nights of my stay. Bath tub cogs and not resolved by the hotel staff. Both problems were reported after the first night but situation does not seem to improve. Occasionally having problem logging into the wifi network.
I'm pretty sure the place had bed bugs. When I left, I had bites all along my neck.
staff was rude I got in at 1am and the hotel check put was at noon the next day, at 10am in the morning the maid started poundin on my door givn me a lie of excuse that she was there is I needed towels. She was poundin on my door to try to get me out of there before noon. the place was filthy and dirty
- location is great - staff was friendly, fixed the heating when we called - got reimbursed for the groceries they accidentally threw away
- 1st room was not cleaned when we stepped in (or in use?) - heating needed to be fixed multiple times - housekeeping accidentally threw away our groceries - cleanliness of bathroom - daily housekeeping
The staff at the reception was totally unacceptable! We had a problem with our booking and they charged us double the amount.. as we address it the response was "it's Friday night Halloween, I'm alone here and you're not the only once here I get 100 other people in tonight I have to take care of" So?? Every guest is important right? Absolutely unacceptable and rude. He didn't do anything for us!
Staff was welcoming and very accommodating to guests.
Excellent location. Used city transit to travel to & from train depot to hotel. $2.25 one way. Within walking distance of all the shopping.
The hallway was a bit narrow & the bathroom was a little cramped.
