The location and price.

Internet was so slow that I was not able to check my emails for 2 days during which I stayed at the hotel.

Very well located. Not noisy. Big rooms, like a suite. Amenities (microwave, fridge).

Old bathroom. No HDMI connection to TV. Bad pillows.

cheap rates,helpfull front desk people.location,reasonable.

housekeeping needs lessons on cleaning bathroom.smelled like mold and athletes foot. did not empty trash at all next day or wipe out sink or shower. was going to stay again in july for moving daughter to college but it is gross.

Great rooms

My card was pre-authorized for the amount of the room and I was told it didn't go through. Then I paid cash. After I checked in, come to find the authorization did go through. So I was authorized the amount and paid up front.

I really liked the location of the hotel a lot. Also, the staff was VERY nice.

I did not enjoy that I could not check in until 4pm. I arrived in Chicago at 6am and couldn't really do much all day.

Location was excellent! Lots of scenery and access to shopping area!

The bathroom was terrible! Mainly the location of the toilet! It was entirely too close to the wall! Room 1104

Location

I stayed at a Hampton in out in the suburbs the 2 nights before for half the price. My expectations were low, but they blew me away with friendliness, cleanliness and perception of professionalism. Unfortunately Red Roof in failed in comparison on all the above mentioned.

Great staff, great location, nice rooms.

A little dated in the lobby and hallways.

Great location!! Front desk was very friendly! Bed was cozy and sheets were clean. Great price for location.

House keeping was slow!!!!!! Room was never cleaned before 1. Sunday room wasn't cleaned before 4! Half the time they forgot the towels. Also the bathroom had a smell. Sometimes really bad other times not so bad. I would say it wasn't the cleanest place, but it wasn't horrible. They didn't vacuum everyday.

Location

Room could have been cleaner; Broken tv - one channel and remote did not work. Broken latch on door Room needed to be cleaned much better.

The staff were really friendly and helpful; very quick to offer advice. The location was great - just around the corner from Michigan Avenue and a short walk from most Downtown attractions.

The downside to this downtown location is the Fire Dept's incessant drives around town with sirens blaring.

I liked the location.

I did not like the attitude of the staff, which is why I stayed only one night and left for another hotel. A few members were rude and were not concerned about my needs. I was lied to about a discount you could receive at a gym if staying at Red Roof Inn by the staff. There was no discount option. I did not like that there was no continental breakfast, no fitness center, or any other amenities. I went to the courtyard Marriott down the street for the remainder of the weekend and paid less money for a better room, free continental breakfast, a fitness center, and a friendly and professional staff. I will never stay at the Red Roof Inn again. What a waste of money. I will make sure to spread the word.

The location

We felt the hotel and parking was over priced for the quality. Also, our room wasn't cleaned until between 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm. When the cleaning was done one bed was left unattended to.

Location was really good. It was right by the Michigan ave so we could go shopping at night. And John Hancock tower is 5 blocks away so you can go to Signiture lounge at night. Room was clean and comfortable.

Little far from the CTA metro station. No shampoo :( I didn't bring shampoo and body wash because it was a short trip so I had to buy them.

Our toilet was broken it ran all night the room did not get dark so I got a migraine staff was not very friendly

Location of the hotel is great. It is in walking distance from the high street.

- Cleanliness - Hygeine condition. - House keeping staff was crap. had to ask them to clean or make up the room. - Rooms are not vaccumed and cleaned on daily basis. - House keeping staff ignores the dirt in bathroom/room and only limit their duties to changing bedsheets. - Staff needs reminders that people are travelling with young children and hence then need clear rooms. - Disconnect between reception and the housekeeping. I had to tell the same thing to reception in morning and then housekeeping staff in the afternoon. -House keeping staff do not understand English and it is hard to communicate. - Room fare is more than the service they provide.

I liked that it was centrally located, easy to get to.

The room was not cleaned until after noon, or later, the heating system was not working, it was either too hot or too cold. The lobby could use an upgrade, maybe coffee, snacks.

Close to Michigan Ave, and activities downtown,

Blankets were threadbare at best, and I asked for a second blanket twice and never received one. The desk staff was under staffed and crabby.

The location was great. Close to shopping and restruants.

It was a bit dirty and the staff was not very friendly.

Great value for the location

Facilities were a little below par and housekeeping was not that great getting more supplies

Non-Smoking room reeked of smoke.

The staff was excellent. Specifically Kelly and another younger fella he had light brown hair very energetic and very helpful with everything, I'm not sure of his name though. He got out his phone and helped with directions printed out directions for us. If there is a way to let the staff know about how great they are would be appreciated. These two made our trip better I can't say enough about the staff here. Top notch! They went above and beyond.

Need some room repairs. They weren't bad just not the best.

I liked the vicinity to Michigan avenue and I liked the price.

It's pretty outdated and needs a facelift.
