Just a quick note to recognize your employee Brittany who is at the front desk on Saturday, March 28, 2015. Extremely friendly and went above and beyond to ensure she made our stay memorable for my daughter who was celebrating her birthday. Great Employee who makes you stand out from your competitors!
I was informed that i'll get the complimentary breakfast and i didn't get nothing, moreover i paid for a king size bed room but i got was a queen bed room. The staff was not helpful at all. The guy at the reception was rude and looked like an inexperienced person.

We got to check in early, they gave us great directions & recommendations! They made sure we were taken care of at all times.
No vent in bathroom so mirror got all fogged up while taking a shower. Beer at $6 per 12 oz. bottle and a $2 banana is a bit extreme.
Nice hotel. Great location. Staff was great. Easy to get around and easy to find a cab when we needed one. Nice sports bar. Also liked the pantry. Felt safe where we were staying.
we had double room ...my wife and myself, plus two teenage grandsons...when we got up to shower in the AM, found there were only three towels for the four of us; lack of free WiFi annoying;
location greats; the staff person...in particular Evelyn...that checked us in was one of the best and most helpful registration desk staff I have ever encountered!, facility was clean, and staff in general very friendly and helpful;
* ROOM - No. 3503, Mid-size, very dated, headboard made of plywood?? needs to be updated & refreshed with modern furnishings. Clean. Tiles in toilet were painted so peeling paint coming off on grout. Bed very comfy * WIFI - NOT FREE. You have to pay $14.95. I find it so cheap that a hotel, in this day & age, charges for Wifi. They are making enough money as it is, they don’t need to be so petty. * ISSUE - SAFETY ISSUE with window. We were on 35th floor. Window in room is only 1 pain thick. Not double glazed. There was a sliding door that opened slightly with a rail for a balcony. At some stage in the past it appears the door opened fully so a person could fall out or a baby could fall through rails. Thankfully someone realized this an retro-fitted a lock onto the sliding rails so you can no longer open door fully. As a couple with a 2 year old i was so conscious that our 2 year old didn’t go near window or accidentally push the floor lamp into the main window and crack it open.
* VIEW - AMAZING VIEW of chicago skyline. As we were facing west got to see sun set on Chicago!! beautiful * FOOD - didn’t try any food. Starbucks in lobby * LOCATION - GREAT proximity to all sites and subway line (Grand-Red) closest stop only 3 blocks away!!! location is so good as you’re right in the thick of it all. “Eataly” restaurant is only 1 block away and is the bomb!!! This place is packed with people, good food, good wine!! Close to supermarkets like “Trader Joes” as well * SERVICE - very curtious * PRICE - reasonable for location & view * SECURITY - very safe
The staff tried to get me to pay for things I didn't use.
Everything was extra. I was told there was wifi and parking. Well yeah in the city somewhere. I was mislead into buying more things when I would have went somewhere else with more amenities. 16 bucks a day for wifi? I had a breakfast package and was treated poorly by the breakfast staff when I had to explain to multiple people that I had paid for it already! It was a headache as much as it was fun. I feel like I wasted money and want that impressed. No coffee machine in room, unless you count the one tucked it a cabinet with no coffee. Other than that the staff was friendly but I won't be going to the Marriott again unfortunately. Plus the booking.com was actually a big part of my disappointment. I did filter searches and it should tell you that the "amenities" they offer are paid extras instead.
Bathroom was VERY SMALL and no vent for when someone showered.

Rod are extremely small for the price that you pay, I understnad its the downtown area but expect some level of space.
My only complaint is that they charge for Wi-Fi. In this day and age, that should be a free service.
We stayed here during the recent blizzard when our flight was cancelled. We'd already checked out of our original hotel and needed a room for one night. We had no baggage, since it made the overbooked flight we were bumped from two days earlier. This could've been a really bad experience, but it wasn't, mainly due to the staff. The front office agent was very hospitable, trying to make the visit comfortable for us. The room was comfortable, but a little dated, and the location was close to everything. Which is great when you're on foot. I'd stay again just because of the staff.
