Score from 688 reviews Very good
The location of the hostel is perfect, less than a minute by walking to take the train.
Unfortunately, the restrooms aren´t enough for all the guesses. Sometimes it´s difficult find a empty bath to take a shower.
fair price for a couple of nights. enjoyed breakfast too
Very noisy during night, probably men chatting loudly on the street
Enjoyed the breakfast, the dining room management & staff--recognized us when we ate at the restaurant next door; friendly, good hosts! Room was spotless; lighting excellent.
Could have used a chair in our room, but can see why there isn't room for one. Could have used an extra blanket.
The girls shower
24 hour desk attendance, breakfast available 3 hours every day, refrigerator, lockers and hot water jug available, access to good laundry facilities, friendly and helpful staff, good rates, very convenient to city train, and amtrak and train to airport and downtown.
Only that couldn't lock door in toilet
Location and nearby laundry.
Climbing stairs with heavy luggage. A fellow traveler was kind enough to assistant.
The location was nice.
The hot temperature of the room
It's very close to the Blue line subway and an easy ride into the city. Breakfast included hot cereal and eggs!
Everything was okay! We liked locations of this hotel and infrastructure. I liked laundry opposite the hotel! Stuff was almost good) We arrived Aug 26 th and the women on front desk who worked in the early morning and another who worked in the noon were awesome. Thank you very much them!
Stuff on front desk who worked Aug 26 in evening one man and woman. Was kinda rude and we did not like their attitude to my friend. She arrived so late and needed help! But maybe this help was not include. So maybe I'm wrong that I'm writing it in here. In general everything was okay!
Arrogance of staff lady.. No internet working people at all and lady says I am the first person to complaint so therefore I am wrong and she is right.
Wi-Fi doesn't work on all levels. And even on the first floor it sometimes gets disconnected several times.
Location is kind of good
The sheets and blanked werenot clean, there was other people hair on the pillow. Bathroom is bad as well. I got and individual room for me and friends and you can find hotels (not hostels) for a similar price only a bit more far, but with much more confort.
The location and the building are both fantastic. I liked the rooms and the breakfast was delicious.
There was a staff member that was working in the morning and he was so rude. He was older but he was extra rude.
room was good
The location is convenient: 10 min walk from the Union Station, 30 minutes walk to downtown. Lots of wonderful greek restaurants in the neighbourhood. Helpful staff.
On Saturday night there was some party on the street with VERY loud music at 2 am, impossible to sleep. Wifi connection breaks every 10 minutes or so (though the speed is quite good). Somewhat expensive for a hostel.
The staff were great, and very helpful.
The guys at the attached restaurant were a bit rude, especially to people loading and unloading.
close to everything. great breakfast
The friendly staff. The location and the artsy decor. It was like a home away from home with the kitchen and community room. Our bed was wonderful and our room very clean. The bathrooms were well kept and showers were fine!
Dust in the stairway.
No wifi. Only 1 restrooms and baths on a floor.
Katerina was so kind and helpful. She is simply the best.
Close to train station, handy since we were taking it and had arrives on it. Free breakfast which was tasty.
No elevator is a bit of a pain, but at least we only had to go to the first floor! Also it's kind of hard to have a shower, as the bathroom door didn't lock so it was a little awkward. Should perhaps think about putting a divider between toilets and showers and possibly making shower cubicles or even toilet/shower combo cubicles would work well.
Excellent location with good facilities and very friendly front desk staff, always willing to help us.
Wi-fi was poor and small toillets cabinets!
Location. Good for bus travelers, close to Union Station. Bathroom clean.
My pillow had lipstick and make up marks before I used it. It is incredibly noisy at night when the bar right across the street is open, Internet is HORRIBLE and crashes every 2 minutes or more. Beds are really noisy, so if someone moves in the room you can hear. Bathroom doors are so close to the toilet you can't even sit on it, and i'm a short person.
- Location (15 minutes walk from Chicago downtown) - Very friendly and responsive staff - Breakfast included (however it is very basic: muesli, skimmed milk, toasts, boiled eggs and beverages) - Free Wi-Fi (but with poor signal) - Clean rooms
- Only 2 showers per floor (aproximately per 30~50 persons)
