I like the Travelodge because the staff is friendly and the rooms are always clean. Also, it's very close to downtown without being overly expensive.
However, the room wasn't so cheap that they couldn't have put a microwave and mini fridge in the room. That was inconvenient.
location wi fi service
This place is great for younger travelers who do not want or need a lot of extras. It's in a good location and parking is within a block and cost $25 per day unlimited in/out.
Neighborhood not the happiest place on earth. Watch yourself.
There was no hairdryer provided and the staff was not available at night for assistance. No breakfast provided sadly as well.
The tv channels
The heater was broken and I couldn't turn it off! I talked to the staff that adivised me to turn the ar conditioner on to balance the temperature of the room! They told me they would fix it but nobody went there!
the heat at the entrance/exit is pretty harmful when going out, as far as i know going out of the hotel you need to prepare your body for a colder temperature thus creating an area in between to cool you down before going out, now continuing my trip has been a bit of nursing my partner since she fot extremely sixk of that matter
The staff is always great at the Harrison Ave Travel Lodge. Very helpful. They are trying to update the hotel and give it a more modern look.
While it's great they are working on remodeling an older hotel, the cafe on the first floor was being gutted and redone. Made for some noisy mornings.
Value, location and size of room
L train noise not dampened so had to sleep with earplugs.
Easy to reach from O'Hare with CTA and straight bus line to McGormick Place.
Location and price of room
Room outdated Bed hard as nails
L train was a little noisy
Very accommodating staff, very nice room facilities, good location for most things in Chicago - especially for McCormick place.
Lifts are dated and in need of refurb, had to wait too long get a taxi from the hotel, no food ordering facilities.
bed nice and firm....rooms large and clean....quiet night's sleep....staff very nice. Good force in shower. Good location.
Elevators much too slow. Got hair dryer at desk...would rather have had it in room.....Pillows too small and hard.
Convenient location Friendly staff Access to breakfast and lunch in restaurant on-site
Corner room was cold and not very clean Window shade in bathroom needed replacing
Price and location
- Dirty - Uncomfortable - Cold (heating doesn't work) - Loud - Old
Staff was friendly and good location
Noise from train and outside people slow elevator
Proximity to city & metro lines.
Directly next to metro tracks - loud trains all day/night long. Rooms covered in dust. Very uncomfortable beds. Sheets full of marks. Very low water pressure in shower (light mist). Elevators very slow (old). Incompetent personnel.
Noise outside of the room. some metal noise and the metro
Needs refurbishment, the worst Travel Lodge I have stayed in
Staff were not particularly friendly. Very average room with very few facilities. Not good value for money.
Room was very basic but very clean and fine for our one night requirement
We were prompted yo upgrade our room for a discounted rate which we did however the room was extremely noisy positioned above the rail lines and we barely slept
Nice room with good bathroom. Great location, just next to Millennium Park!
We had a room on the street side where the Loop was driving untill late, which was quite noisy. The windows couldn't open, so ventilation was minimal.
cheap cab fair from Amtrak
Staff so so having to smoke in the street paper thin walls
