small room, across the streer,no tv
good location. great staff. comfortable, and clean.
the guy at the reception told us that there is a refrigerator in the room and there wasn't - but when we told them - they put one in our room.
But sketchy area - really need to cab to most places and especially at night.
Rather run down property although the rooms are sufficient.
They have a complimentary coffee and cake every morning
Although the bed sheets looked clean the room looked very dirty. The drapes were greasy and the towels, although were changed every day, they were old and had frequently hairs and dark spots. The room was also very cold. The heating was poor and noisy and no blankets were provided.
The staff was very helpful and nice. The location was OK, not far from shopping and transportation.
The heater in the room was broken. The elevator was broken. You could get in, but the doors wouldn't open on the second floor. The washing machine and dryer for guests were broken. The wifi never worked. There were lots of homeless people around.
Staff and cleanlines
Free parking and the location is very convenient
Satires need to be fixed. They might cause bed accidents if they stay the way they are now. Also, TV is very old and not to many channels to select.
I read really bad reviews about this place and it really was not that bad. It had clean sheets and towels. Bed was comfortable. It was warm in the room (given it was winter). Cleaners were friendly. Wifi was not really good enough to stream videos but was perfectly fine to check emails, surf the internet and to use facetime/skype. Wifi was better first thing in the morning 6-8am and after midnight (as you may expect). For the price and location, given San Fran is very expensive to stay in, I would say it was good value for money.
It is a bit run down, it could do with new wall paper and carpets. The carpet tends to be quite stained as you come straight into the room from outside. The staff were so-so, some were more helpful than others but none were terrible. Hotel is just a bit dated and naff, but good value for money.
The smell of cigarettes and humidity in the common area
lack of elevator in one of the building breakfast was not good
Close to AT&T park. Fine if you just need somewhere to sleep overnight and leave your bags while you go out all day and night. Really great that there was free parking, as we had come to go to an event at AT&T park and there was very little street parking available.
-staff; friendly -cleanliness -facilities except for air-conditioner -cost; goooood!!!! -accessibility
-location; -heating system; slightly dangerous
The fact that there was FREE WiFi. the room was very comfortable and warm and the "free" breakfast......
Terrible very late "check in" (ie 15:00 hours) and also terrible very early check out (i.e. 11:00 am), also a very early housekeeper forced wake up knocking on the door to find out if I was ready to leave the room early for cleaning!!! Some of us have to work late at night and that disturbance by the house keeper is dreadful.....
We liked the quirky 2-bedroom suite. It had been remodeled and updated, but retained some of the charm of an older building.
Location is great, just a few minutes walk from the Civic Center Bart Station that takes you to the airport in 30 minutes. Room was OK and reasonably clean with a nice double-bed and desk. A bit dusty in some areas but overall bathroom was clean and the bed was good. OK for a cheap stay to save some money to enjoy this amazing city.
The room was located in a building on the other side of the street where the reception is. It had a very old style decoration but it was quiet. However, a friend of mine staying at the same hotel in the main building had noises in the bathroom and had also noisy neighbors. No elevator to the first floor. The room was small and the ventilation set was full of dust, I am happy I did not have to use it. Wifi was very slow. Breakfast is very poor so I ended up skipping it.
Wifi was good. Pretty good location for access to Moscone -- considering the price.
Limited "breakfast". A bit tight between the bed and the dresser. Towels were old, and the shower had signs of a leak from the floor above still in the ceiling. Not the most upscale part of town.
Localization is the only good thing
Breakfast is just terrible! WiFi works sometimes, and is usually very slow.
Wifi, and cab service was lousy.
Standard clean room, decent value for money.
sound of dripping onto the door threshold kept me awake - used earplugs!
Location Is fine, 10 min to Moscone centre
Internet connetion unstable Wet floor in case od rain Personel not really helpful, coudn't print my boarding pass Breakfast beyond expectations
Although they were a small place the room was clean, the service was prompt and the staff was very quick to come and help
Bad neighborhood. Gross shower.
The price was cheaper than most of other options. Staff were kind and respectful.
Everything smells bad. It's very old and the room was small. TV was an old one. Breakfast is nothing but a cookie and a coffee/tea with some apples and bananas, no milk, no bread, no cheese, no jelly. The smart card I had to change it after just one day. It doesn't have a good view from the room to outside. Neighborhood is crazy as it is for downtown SF. Comparing to the similar hotels in other cities $100/night was too high.
there are very little number of places in SF for less than $100 a night. are is a little sketchy, but use your best judgement and common sense when coming back late at night
