free parking place space in room
bed did not make a very clear impression reception was a little slow and unpersonal
Breakfast was very poor. Not enough sitting room.
Very comfortable bad. Nice interior with inner patio and very nice blinds in clean rooms. Nice TV. Complementary shuttle bus. Easy access to parking on ground level. Close to airport but without much of planes traffic and planes noise (maybe I was on there on lucky day that traffic was going other direction). Even it was by main road noise level from the street was minimal and acceptable even in room facing street.
Stuff didn't seems very friendly. Not that they were rude or something but neither they were engaged or nice. Breakfast starts only from 6:30 so when you have early flight there was no chance to grab anything.
My friend had totally scared me off from staying in any area of San Francisco, so I took a chance and it was great. City Center Inn is located in the business district of San Francisco. As to be suspected there is not a lot of foot traffic late at night, so it is wise to be cautious walking from the BART or if you're not used to a big city, take a cab. Other than that, the room was like a mini-version of a name-brand hotel room. It was compact, but clean and comfortable. If you're confused about where to stay, like I was, this is a happy medium between Hostels/SROs in the Tenderloin/Mission and the higher priced hotels in the Downtown area.
The room was fine - it was clean and comfortable.
The included breakfast is no breakfast at all - it's a joke at best.
Nothing at all
Stinky Dirty Unfriendly staff Unsecure (in the car besides ours was broken into)
Funky neighborhood, upcoming part of town. Free parking. Suite was spacious, rooms adjoining, good for family.
Area slightly shady at night. Breakfast very basic. Expensive for the rather old rooms.
The smell, some walls had mold, water leaked from bathroom to floor, the fact that the checking area was in a different building from my sleeping area. That breakfast was close cat 9am.
I liked that my car was not broken in to. What a way to stay in SF !
When we arrived there were only 2 cars parked in the garage of the building where we stayed, both with the windows smashed. They put us in the old Knights Inn and that does not look at all like the Courtyard hotel of the City Center Inn and Suites.
Separate Building from the main motel. No elevator. TVs way too old, no cable. Bathroom not kept up. Towels were in poor conditions.
The price, location, free parking. Continental breakfast. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Close to freeway and downtown area. Safe and affordable and overall a pleasant experience!
Bathroom was okay Helpful staff
Lighting terrible Room extremely small Dirty carpet Awkward parking
Location near downtown
Everything except location was horror.
It has not been a good experience at all. Room too small for two people; rate definitely superior to the quality; Check-In time late (3:00pm), check-Out time too early (11:00am). What made really disappointed was the cost they charged ($ 2.00 per bag) for leaving bag while waiting for room availability, plus $ 2.00 per bag left (30 minutes only) after Check-Out. I won't sure come back!
The rooms were clean, but stinky. Receptionist was not in the good mood too. Area a bit spooky. Overall, I think you can find much better places instead of this overpriced Hotel.
Wifi and the bed
location, poor service, not worth the price paid. Would not recommend this to anyone and would never stay here again.
Close to downtown which is good daytime but during nighttime is scary because of all the homeless people.
Hardly any breakfast which is also served between 6-9 and thus you have to get up really early to get anything. Old furniture in old rooms that smell. Close to downtown which is good daytime but during nighttime is scary because of all the homeless people. No wifi in the rooms No refrigerator and no microwave.
Sight Glass coffee shop is located adjacent. The room itself was clean and the bed comfortable.
The hotel is well overdue for a facelift in the public areas. The room itself was tired but acceptable, however the staff and facilities were barely one star. We stayed across the road from the main hotel. This is not staffed and the front security door was broken, so entry was through a dark parking lot. Security was a concern for us. In our room some previous person had covered the smoke alarm with a plastic shower cap. We ended up removing it as the staff were obviously not concerned. With a bit of attention it could be the hotel as described.
I had a place to stay
The bathroom smelled, room was teenie tiny, air didn't work, tv was grey fuzz, and the area was kinda sketch
- This is a run-down nieghborhood. I did not feel save walking to and from the hotel - The carpet seems to be 20 years or older. It makes the hallways and also the room smelly. - The walls are paper thin. One of the nights I first heard my first neighbors coming back at 11 p.m., the next cam back at 12 am. Then my direct neighbors startet to talk at 4 am. till 6 am. The still other neighbors started to take a shower. Well there was not a lot of sleep to find.
Close to Powell and Cívica Center muni stops. Right below Market. Bed was great, no view but quiet. I was able to park in the garage all 3 nights of my stay ($72 savings!)
Nothing was appealing. We left after the first night.
Parking was a definite advantage. Hotel is convenient to just about anyplace in the South of Market area. Room was comfortable and clean.
South of Market is a somewhat gritty area and I don't recommend it for Mom, Pop and the kids in search of a family friendly area.
