It was in a nice part of Las Vegas and had a lot to do around there
Look like it was for the 20s years old crowd
had to get new keys every day, had to put a deposit for remote, if you wanted your rom cleaned, you had to go to the front desk and beg them
reasonable price on a peak day
we were up all night, and have to sleep during the day, and right across the street, there was some fire shooting gun that made sounds like thunder. Looked cool, but very difficult to sleep with all that going on. However if you're going to sleep at night, there should be no problems like that.
being able to park outside my door
some unappealing guests
Everything was close. Parking lot was secure.
The flaming Praying Antis that was across the street in the container plaza was very disrupting every 30 minutes till 11:00 PM. This was a shock to me and I had to sleep with ear plugs just to get some rest.
First room cannot open with key. Second room light not working Third room strong cigarette smell, took it.
I booked a free smoking room and when I get there they only have smoking rooms available, it was so stinky, and my 10 year old had to breath all that terrible smell all night.
The security of this motel is suckest ever. We lost $50 in our room, when we went out during the day. Be sure when you leave this motel's room take all money that you have. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR MONEY INSIDE OF THE ROOM.
I liked the fact that there was a apt size fridge in my room, the space was equivalent to a small apartment with a hallway, open closet and separate bathroom. I have no complaints about the bed or number of pillows as it was adequate. I didn't use WiFi so I don't know of they even had it. I didn't use the TV so I don't know how it was. A major factor for this hotel was HOT WATER! I fully tested the shower and I gotta say I was beyond pleased with the duration and consistency of the showers hot water water. I must have been in the shower an hour and the water was hot the entire time. And when I say hot I mean I came out like a lobster cause that's my type of hot. So that was great! I mostly just slept here and took a shower in the morning. So if you need a spot to crash and take a shower I would definitely recommend this hotel.
The hotel is not as modern as others which is fine, but one thing I did notice was there was no easily adjusted heat or air. The was a dial on the wall, actually in my room a stick where a dial used to go but anyway, it had options of off, high, med, lo. When I turned it on it blew out hot air. I didn't see any A/C unit. Also I didn't see any fans in the bathroom to rid it of humidity. So after a shower the place was kind of muggy. But they did have a normal sized window in the shower that allowed a breeze in. That window showed a lovely view of a concrete wall but a good breeze too. Plug ins! I was going to plug my phone in to charge and at first I was going to put it on the nightstand next to the bed. The light and the clock took up the plugs so I found a plug across the room with a lamp plugged into it. Plugged my phone to the open port, nothing, even turn wall switch on/ off to see if it made it work...nothing so I unplugged the lamp and plugged in my phone and let my phone charge overnight on the floor. These aren't really I don't like but rather minor inconveniences. I just wanted a place to sleep and shower and this hotel did the job.
JR the clerk helped me print out my boarding pass and whent the extra mile to be as helpful as one could be.
Value, cleanliness, a bit outdated.
Night time noises consisting of loud explosions from across the street from the attraction there.
It was over priced even for that holiday and was a very uncomfortable sleep
That it was closed to the Fremont experience that was all
The wifi didn't work. There was a note in the reception saying something about technical problems, but it had been there for a long time.
To the good parts of this place are simply its location and its price. They are among the cheapest rates in town and they are located 23 blocks from the Freemont Street Experience (which was awsome on NYE) and it is only a short cab or ride on "the Duece" to the main strip. Check-in/out was smooth and the guy at the desk was helpful. There was a fridge and it did work, so i could keep my beer cold.
This place is old, very outdated, and just generally dingy. The linen did seem to be clean, but the room smelled terribly of smoke (and i'm somtimes a smoker, but it was bad) and the carpet probobly hasn't been cleaned in some time. Also there are no irons, hair dryers, or tv remote. Items must be checked out from the desk and they require a deposit.
Use to be pet friendly. Website still says they are pet friendly but when you check in there are signs on the the counter saying "not pets allowed". Bath tub barely drained. The older man that works the desk at night is ALWAYS sleeping and if you need him to do something he has a VERY bad attitude.
They were very friendly and accommodating. It was nice that it was so close to the Fremont Arcade.
everything like how close it was to fremont....the serves was great...rooms comfortable prices was great...
the location was great. you walk out of the hotel and you are only a very short walk away from fremont street experience.
bath filthy customer service bad and/or not existent bed filthy wifi worked only a few times there is a note on the front desk saying "there will be no refund once you checked in". if you don't know why, they do.
The price, location. Most would not like this place but I can take it.
No coffee at all even in office. No air. just a fan and most don't work. Huge explosions until midnight from a club across the street, sounds like huge bombs going off, all night! unreal! Pool is locked and u cant use it. Keys never work, have to go to office to get in. office is always locked.
Minutes from Fremont Experience and Greyhound. Great price. Clean room. If u just want best price n proximity to action wth clean room this works. No frills so don't expect any.
Loud rumbling noise from across the street during the night. No Wi Fi. Lousy cable tv channels
Great location and nice and clean.
Wi-fi was almost non-existant.
Close to Freemont Street experience. The price was ok for how close it is to the action. Fairly clean, even though the carpets need to be washed.
Horrible customer service. They DID NOT ACCEPT a visa card that was a VISA CARD because "there is a limit ($500)" if "you break anything!" There was not anything in the room that was $500 worth. No coffee and the soap in the room broke into pieces when you got it wet. I can handle ALMOST anything, except POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. AVOID THIS DUMP, IF YOU CAN.
Refrigerator in the room was amazing! Was really pleased with the size of the room for the price. Close to Fremont experience. Great overall stay
During the day, with no special events going on in the area, this would be a good place for location. If you're stone deaf it would be fine to sleep there as well. If you plan to be OUT from sunset to after 11, this would ALSO work. Many people WOULD be. There was a nice pool (unfortunately closed by the health department when I was there) which would have made a nice break in the day. It had all the potential to have been a good choice.
This would have been an excellent location before a giant preying mantis sculpture with flaming antennae was added across the street. It was on Fremont Street but a couple of blocks away from the Fremont Experience in an area that had been quiet before. Every evening at sunset the explosions of fire begin. The first night they went every few minutes from near 6 until after 11 pm. The windows rattled. The noise was dreadful. They banged away to loud music sometimes and also to drums. Interesting to watch but not for hours and certainly not if you need some sleep. Unfortunately, a three day event was scheduled to begin couple of days after I left. I had booked the motel on-line and when I was checking in for two nights no one mentioned that all of the streets would be blocked off and that at 5:40 am the second day, there would be banging on my door and ringing of the phone to wake me up to move my car because dump trucks were coming with loads of sand to turn the parking lot into a beach. There was no more sleeping, of course, with the beeping of the trucks. I thought it fair to have my money refunded for that night. I was told by the people at the desk that this would NOT happen. I have left a polite note for the owner and, should he do the right thing, I will be GLAD to revise this part of the review. These certainly are extenuating circumstances. How could NO one think I should know what was going to happen? I had no idea why other people were not staying at this motel. I thought that word had got out about the horrible noise of the exploding preying mantis. Such a shame because this place WOULD have been a great place to stay due to its budget and location.
