City Club Hotel  

The hotel is well-located - just off Time Square - and small enough (just 65 rooms) to give it a sense of intimacy. We had stayed at the hotel before and liked the slight quirkiness of the decor: which makes City Club a bit different to the usual bog-standard hotels.

Our room looked out onto a brick wall at the rear of the hotel whereas on our last visit we looked out over 44th Street. Our advice to prospective bookers is to check with the hotel that your room is front- facing: and maybe visitors should be warned in advance if they are likely to be accommodated in rooms without any views. For this reason we are not confident to recommend the hotel.

Great location, clean room, helpfull staff, beautiful decor.

Our room almost had no daylight and we had to go out of hotel to check the weather. Strong smell from the kichen if window is open. Rather small room for luxury double queen room. Not good value for the room we were given.

The staff was friendly and upgraded us to a suite upon arrival, a magnificent 2-story room. My girlfriend and I were very impressed with the location and the luxury of our stay for the price.

Mistakes of the staff about our payement - almost payed twice because of the managers actions.

Convenient center city. Great restaurant attached. Inexpensive. Discount parking across the street. Quiet. Pleasant staff. Very well-stocked mini- bar. V comfortable bed. Easy to get a cab or town car. They allowed me the change arrival date by a day at the last minute w/o penalty. Service and staff excellent.

Advertised hi speed internet but the service was spotty and slow and sometimes impossible completely. City Club Hotel is so buried among other large buildings that cell phone reception is impossible. For this alone I wouldn't return. Incredibly frustrating when seeking to search for venues. Phone booth size room. Tiny closet. Gotta get out of bed to turn off reading lights?!! Room had no city guide books, brochures, publications.

Staff was exceptionally attentive and accommodations were very nice. Completely marble bathroom, high-pressure shower, bidet, very clean room, DVD player and in-hotel DVD library, and 2 chocolate chip cookies on a plate at the end of each day.

HD TVs were great, but they make no difference with 480i basic (non-HD) cable. Hotel needs to renegotiate its cable contract.

The room they have booked for me were wıthout day lıght and it was too small.. I have payed 200 usd more to have a nıce and a larger room
