Location was perfect. Close to train, great food, live music, wrigley field - all within easy walking distance.
A bit if a musty smell in my room plus the fan/ac was very noisy even when switched cometely off. Fine for me but not so good for light sleepers.
Liked the location!
Hearing the subway announcements that are inside the subway cars!
Walking to cubs game. Room was larger than we expected.
Location is the best. Right next to red line Belmont station and Ann Sather's.
Non suite rooms can feel cramped, and some rooms are too close to red line station with lots of train noise.
Location to Wriggly Field neighbor hood. Easy walking distance to its bars and restaurants.
Nothing really negative to point out.
It was a very relaxed and intimate place to stay. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I liked the idea of stepping out onto a street with stores and restaurants, instead of a major highway.
Our room was extremely small.
The staff was very accommodating we had a early morning flight and they were able to get us into our room before noon - well before official check in time! We took train from Midway and there they were and right next to the famous Ann Slather diner with the best cinnamon buns! The bed was comfortable and nice soaps and lotions provided in real big city hotel without all the fancy upgrades of chains who have none of the charm of City Suites.
A suite should have a microwave in the room. Had to use the one in the lobby. Also living room space a little sparse. A nice comfy chair would have been nice touch.
have nothing bad to say about my stay here. the people at front desk were super super helpful. they even helped me and my friend after we checked out. printed our plane tickets, held onto our bags while we cruised around city etc.If you're going to a cubs game this is your place.
Location. Fun neighborhood.
cost. Price for weekend nights was 2x weekday price. Bkfst was marginal at best.
Convenient to "L" Close to restaurants, walk to Wrigley, fun bars along the way.
staff is friendly and helpful
this is a quality hotel but the prices for rooms should not be any higher than they already are.
The cleanliness, breakfast was good, and the employees were very nice.
I didn't like the elevator. We got stuck on it for about 10 mins. I don't like being cramped in tight places so I didn't do well.
Great location if you need to be in the area and not a lot of alternatives. Literally next to the Red Line, and an easy 10 minute walk to Wrigley Field. Nice people. Room clean. Mattress fine.
Not a very good breakfast. Carpet worn. Our room got a lot of street noise and we could hear the announcements from the "L".
Location Charm Friendly and accomidating staff Comfortable
Poor water pressure
Location, clean, friendly staff
Bland continental breakfast choices
I liked the location and the staff were great
Wish there would have been a workout room
Location was actually really nice. Would not have seen that part of Chicago without the hotel being there. Staff we very helpful, especially the bellman.
Loved the location.
There is nearby CTA red line, next station Addison, the nearest CTA station of Wrigley Field. So recommend for die-hard Cubs fans.
Noisy by CTA station transition and station announcements.
The hotel staff was very kind and most engaging. The location was perfect with lots to do in the area.
The hotel hallways and rooms look a little run down. They were clean but really could use some fresh paint and carpet to justify the higher small hotel cost.
Great location -- within walking distance to Wrigley Field, and lots of good restaurants/bars nearby. Very convenient to mass transit. Comfortable beds, clean bathroom and friendly staff. Great place to stay if you're going to Chicago for baseball and sightseeing.
Close to DePaul University
This place is a dump. My room was next to the train platform and all night I was reminded that "This is the Belmont Station..." I paid $300/night including taxes to stay in a hotel that has not had proper updates since the 1970's. The parking is about 4 blocks away and it was FULL. I had to part on my own around the corner. Overall I would NOT recommend this hotel to anybody. I could see if the cost was only $75 per night in Chicago, but for the price, it's not worth it!
Location was convenient to El stop, but also got noise from the train.
Small, dingy rooms hadn't been updated in 30-40 years. Noisy window air conditioners. We took one look at the place and decided we weren't going to stay even though it was 10:30 at night.
Israel, on the front desk, made us feel very welcome from the start. Room was very spacious. Very handy for transport and Boystown nightlife.
Some rowdy baseball fans staying at the hotel slamming doors etc
