awesome value. Staff was great, area was perfect, room was small but nice!
I liked Staff and Rooms were clean Perfect stay for my visit to Chicago I will be back
Excellent staff throughout. Nothing was too much trouble. I travel for business most weeks and the hospitality of check in staff really stands out.
The staff is very friendly, professional and helpful. I love the complimentary breakfast in a very cozy "living room". The location is minutes from the Red Line. There are lots of restaurants and bars withing walking distance.
Staff was friendly. Continental breakfast and the coffee. Bed was comfy.
Building and interior is okd and run down. Elevator was so small that you pray it does not break down. The hotel needs a facelift.
This cute little spot is located in one of the best neighborhoods in Chicago and right next to public transit for a quick trip down to the Loop and the Mag Mile!! And the most reasonably priced minibar I have ever seen!!
Clean and comfortable, facilities were exactly what I needed. Easy to get to L train into downtown.
Hallways outside rooms looked a little shabby, but no complaints with the room itself.
Free wife, comfy, EXCELLENT LOCATION
Noisy by the train, needs some updating very old looking
The staff was very helpful, friendly and efficient. Everyone we encountered from front desk to housekeeping was friendly. The Wi Fi worked well and the room was clean and comfortable. The location was fantastic. Convenient to restaurants, theater and transit.
This didn't bother us, but be aware that the hotel is right next to the Belmont El station. We could wave to people waiting for the train from our window. It got noisy, but if you bring a pair of earplugs, you will sleep just fine.
i love everything.
Bed, Location, Staff all excellent.
Shower pressure, heat went super hot in the middle of the night.
Great Location. Very understanding and great value for the price.
Sofa Beds weren't very good. Wifi was very slow.
It was clean and everything was well prepared.
The room was small I wanted a big room like I had before.
I like how they took something old and remodeled it.. still had the old charm but very modern.
No air conditioning and the window had a lock so it couldn't be opened
Location. Beds and pillows were very comfortable.
Walls were paper thin. Excess noise in the hall interrupted sleep both nights.
Cleanliness of the hotel Great continental breakfast Friendliness of all staff members Closeness to metro Restaurants/bars are close by Much cheaper parking than other places
Parking is off-site Older building so space is a precious commodity
Spacious room, good comfortable layout, charming feel. The location and convenience was perfect.
Unfortunately, my room smelt like a funky old man who wore too much cologne. Luckily I could open the windows to air the place out. The bed was also quite uncomfortable, felt like cardboard, so getting a good night's sleep was impossible.
Love this hotel, old building but location is awesome. Right beside the train and within walking distance to, Boystown , Halstead, Broadway. Very convenient spot.
Could use some updating, carpets are worn and appear very dirty in hallways and rooms. The bathrooms have no countertops or shelving.
Friendly staff Convenient location near the trains Nice neighborhood Quiet Breakfast in the lobby included We love the tea/coffee availability all day Big suite
There isn't much to NOT like...but we did wish that the bathroom had a fan.
There have been times I've made reservations in advance and ended up in a room facing next-door train station. This time I reserved on a Friday, Thanksgiving weekend and ended up in quiet room facing the next building. Awesome! Place feels like home even though I've only stayed there 5 or 6 times the over the last two years.
The people were so nice
Pillows were awesome.
Carpeting is very worn in hallways, and somewhat worn in the rooms. Mattress could have been better. Need to vacuum better along the walls in the room.
+ Very friendly personnel, especially Israel was very helpful but also the younger employee - +The Location is very good many shopping possibilities nearby in walking distance. + Metro just next to the building (curse and blessing at the same time) +- Air coditioning did not work, but they organized an extra heater - that worked (Thanks Noah)
I think that there is really nothing to which to complain about - anyone talking about the Metro sound disturbance should know in advance that the Metro is round the corner so you can also hear any announcements through the speakers - beside that, everything is good working because all employees are really trying to do their best...
The staff was great: knowledgeable and friendly
The place is next to a noisy train station, and sometimes you can hear the noises from it. It did not bother me very much, though.
