Room was nice, clean and reasonably quiet Area not that good, need to plan walk to hotel carefully. Transfer to the airport was not handled well by hotel - had to walk to BART station due to time for shuttle to arrive. |

It was clean and affordable. Was able to get a good nights sleep both nights. The parking was difficult as non guests parked leaving no spaces for paying customers. |

We stayed at this hotel because of it's close proximity to the Civic Center. This location is located only within a few blocks of Union Square as well. If you're looking for nothing more than a clean, simple place to sleep near these areas, the price cannot be beat. The reservation was for two double beds to which there were no more of when I checked in. The staff would not clarify on what end the error was made but at least the staff offered a comparable room at the same rate. |

Nice clean rooms, location in the center. A lot of buses going different directions from there, bart not so far. Strange gatherings of homeless on nearby streets is very uncomfortable. But once you figure out the way to go to escape them it's ok. |

the cleanliness was dire, the location felt unsafe, it was populated by prostitutes, gangs and lots of homless people, the staff were rude and unhelpful, the walls were so thin you could hear every siren, every arguement, every toilet flush and doors slamming and this lasted all night!!! |

We stayed in San Fransico for 4 nights and 4 different Hotels but i must say this hotel is by far the worst Hotel i have ever stayed in - it feels unsafe and is dirty and having homeless people outside your window doesnt do it any favours either. alittle gutted we stayed there as the other 3 hotels were so nice - for the £30 or £40 we paid i still think this is overpriced and would recommend you pay the £100 plus for others as we did for the other 3 |

Civic Center Inn is situated just outside the touristical city center, next to Polk Street, where you can find some nice restaurants. The reception is open 24 hours. The rooms are very noicy, both from connecting rooms as from the street. |

The room and hotel was great We were unable to sleep due to many people on the street partying and guests around us were fighting and slamming doors. There were prostitutes lingering around the property late at night. |

free parking - clean rooms - very nice and helpful people at the reception - close to all the main attractions of the city not very safe area but the hotel is at the edge of the "unsafe" area, so it is easy to walk in different streets to avoid the core of the not-nice suburb. |

The inn was clean, comfortable and close to my destination, which was Cal Expo. The price was definitely right. There was a microwave available in the lobby. It would be nice if there was a microwave and refrigerator in each room free of charge. |

Great Hotel for the budget traveler not looking for too much room and comfort, just a clean room and bed and a nice hot shower in the morning. The neighborhood is something to consider before booking this hotel, however the Hilton is very close sort of sharing this neighborhood, so I guess it's all good I guess. |

Good proximity to shopping district. Comfortable rooms at a competitive price. Helpful staff. Good location. Easy access to cable cars and other attractions. More facilities would be of benefit. Some areas around hotel not safe to walk around. |

it is convient to the convention we went to. it seemed safe and i talked to several pan handlers who were all very polite, even when i didn't give them money. the bathroom was very small, no counter space, no place to put clothes while in the shower |
