Confusing arrival for vehicles under their carport - doesn't flow
well. Check in seemed tedious, busted vent (um, fix it?!) in my room
allowed me to hear my neighbor's conversations like they were in the
same room! Restaurant and Bar/Lounge closed because of "permit
issues" (what does that mean?) so no room service or in-hotel
dining or bar. However, a tgi Fridays is attached and was decent. I was
unimpressed with guest service, even though I detected some helpful
veterans, there were some untrained staff that did not make me feel
cared for. For instance, I returned from a meeting to find takeout menus
from every place on the strip scattered everywhere (they do not prevent
solicitation!) and my door was ajar - you could just walk in!!!! I am
sure I secured it when I left. In their "defense," it was very
stubborn and need of repair, so maybe it just magically opened itself.
Thank God I took my valuables with me. No one clued me into the room
safe that was there or how to use it. I discovered it as I was packing
up to leave. I called the front desk to complain/mention it and an
unidentified attendant (they didn't say something like: Hi, this is
... may I help you") said he would "let someone know."
what??!! Who?? Who opened my door and what are you doing about it? No
follow up from anyone. Very uncomfortable feeling from that moment out.
I might stay here at my own risk again after a long talk with the
manager and many, many reassurances. The hotel is decent - but people
make the stay.
Pool heated and open late, a decent breakfast with many options moves
fast, lots of parking. Business center adequate for my needs. WiFi good.
Many in-room amenities that were good.
