Not on the strip. But still close

I was attending the trade show at the lv Convention Center. The hotel is 1 long block away from convention center. I parked my car for 2 days, free, and walked to center each day. Most convenient when considering the long cab lines at the center or the crowded buses provided by show management. I arrived early am the day of my first night after driving 4 hours and they gave me a room at 10:00 am allowing me to freshen up before walking to the center. Kudos to the check-in staff member. For $5, as a guest, you get into the night club for an entertaining show,

The restaurant facilities were woefully inadequate as to staffing and food quality. It was more like a Denny's restaurant. The casino is a joke but I don't gamble so I really didn't care.

I chose to stay here because it had a pool and hot tub which was accessible 24 hrs. The staff was very nice. It was a 2 block walk to the main strip where there was a Walgreens and had easy access to the bus and the purchasing of a bus pass. One bus ran in front of the hotel and the stop was only 1/2 block away.

The carpeting in the hotel was very dirty. I requested towels to put on my carpet because I didn't want to walk on it barefooted. They sent someone up to shampoo, but the machine they used was like a floor buffer. It only ground in the dirt. I suggested to the front desk that they should purchase some extractor type carpet cleaning machines, like a Rug Doctor so that the dirt and stains could be removed properly. One employee said that he has recommended that and nothing has been done. Apparently it's a money thing.

Reasonable value for money. Got a good nights sleep there as it is removed from the hectic night life in Las Vagas.

Property looks neglected and could do with a makeover. Swimming pool beds sagged and most uncomfortable causing back ache.

That it was close to the job site

Everything esle. I had to have the key re-issued every DAY,the staff was not friendly, the so called casino is a sham, the rooms carpet was ripped, the pillows suck, etc.

Great value. Received two complimentary tickets to a show at the hotel. Located between the strip and the Fremont Street area.

No Continental breakfast offered.

The room was very spacious and incredible clean. Beds were comfortable. Some security regarding minors gambling at the casino area that was good.

The whole outside needs to be retouch asap. Parking lot looks scary and really narrow. The hall decoration is awful. For a king room the TV is outdated.

Smell ,no conferters on beds just sheets , thay want you to use towels 3 or 4 times it was suppost to be on the strip the other peolpe black girl was rude a drunk hooker fellby elevators guy behhind desk helped her up grabbing her boobs,crotch,butt he didnt see me but we saw him we waited 20 min before he came back???

Josh was very helpful at the front desk. We really liked him and I told the manager too. The price was great to sleep and shower there as we played the rest of the day. We stayed here because of the 2 King size beds.

The carpets were dirty. They turned the bottom of my feet black. I was in room 212. Plus, upon departure, I was stripping the bedding as I always do to help housekeeping and thank goodness for the "thick" mattress cover as the mattress was very disgusting. I am glad I didn't look the first day. Yuck!

The internet connection was good.

No one ever cleaned our room. We didn't need new linen or towels, but no one even emptied the trash. We had the "Do Not Disturb" sign up for part of the day, but not all. And, no one from housekeeping called to check in any event.

It was just old and out dated. The pictures are deceiving!

Location was excellent for the Convention Center as well as access to other locations. View from the 9th floor was choice.

Hotel didn't have the capability of accepting government issued credit cards.

The staff acted like they were put out whenever you asked a question. They made check in and reservation difficult and it wasn't until you asked to speak to a manager that suddenly all the little problems vanished. I will not stay there again and will recommend all of my friends and family to stay elsewhere as well. The Clarion is supposed to be local friendly and it is the farthest thing from it.

This is a wonderful location so close to the convention center. Why not do some basic cosmetics (paint the lobby) for example?

The tv, Phone and Internet were not working. Only other complaint is that the halls and lobby are so dingy. The room was a lot nicer than the entry. Why not put a little cash into the looks of the place. It is a jewel for location.

Small rooms, nasty hot tub, dirty swimming pool, outdated hotel, one broken elevator, small casino & a bunch more. I will never stay there again and will tell others not to as well along with the reasons why.

The bed

The smell of urine on carpets, latent cigarette smell in the hallway, water backup in the shower. In dire need of an overhall.

The casino was old and the machines were old. You had to ask an attendant to cash you out everytime. The machines got stuck alot. It dispensed coins out instead of paper slips. I would not book a room there again. Was very disapointed about the casino.
