On this our tenth annual trip to bright nights, we had the best stay ever. The water park was closed but we weren't planning to use that anyway. The clerk Isabelle is a huge reason why we come back each year
Not having the hot tub that we used to enjoy
Clean facility quiet attmosphere attentive staff
Bad shower curtain
Gym was decent
Found head hair in my bed :(
The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom, though small, was well-appointed with soft clean towels.
The stairs to the second floor were inconvenient and strangely placed. The walk from the parking lot to our room was probably longer than it needed to be. There should be access from an closer entrance.
Staff was friendly and sympathetic.
Pool closed with no information stating so on the website.
Lots of rooms and water park too. Excellent breakfast. Room was clean. I'd stay there again.
Hotel did not have easy access Booking.com reservation. Info on a different database & computer. So...they could not tell that breakfast was included. I had stored the reservation on my laptop, since my printer was broken. I showed the desk my reservation, and they gave me chits for the meal.Take copy of reservation.
Room was just ok - bed was comfortable.
The staff upon check in was rude. The pool cannot be used unless you pay a fee for the "water park". When asked about the free buffet according to the online reservations had a $7.99 fee per person.. Fortunately I had a copy of reservation - so had it honored. Made reservations online there was no place where I could get my AAA discount - when I asked about it at checkout they said sorry everything is already processed - too late for the available AAA discount. It seemed like it was all about Clarion and not about the customer. Got it backwards :(
Front desk said breakfast was not included but booking.com said it was. Hotel did give us a voucher.
It was a good value for the money
Due to renovations, our room was in slight disrepair. They should not have put anyone in it until the job was completely done.
The staff was great. the bed was very comfortable and our room was quiet and out of the way.
Too many kids running around with not much supervision. The breakfast room was very noisy as there was nothing to absorb the noise. Too many kids and the parents were loud.
Very friendly helpful and determined to please staff. Easy access to most major roads, but far evrrywhere.
Promised breakfast included and it wasn't. Didn't think we should have to pay for the hotel pool. Room had a horrible smell.
Good price, nice big room with comfortable beds
Hotel is in process of remodeling. Middle section of hotel is closed. So, there is quite a walk - outside- to get to the lobby for breakfast. Room was outdated.
They did not have our reservation. It seems that someone in data entry put our reservation in January instead of May!
Upon arriving all adults gave license I'd,another guest who was arriving late had hotel card held at desk. Guest upon arrival was not let in. Guest had to call room and explain to receptionist that a card was held in her name. Unbelievable because none of the security door were operable anyone could have entered hotel ( she was my guest for an equestrian competition at big e) it was embarrassing- I didn't feel safe with all renovations going on and escorting young equestrian riders to their competition
Front desk - Very nice. It was not their fault that they had to enforce the policy that I will describe in the "what didn't you like?" column.
Poilicy is to demand the ID of other guests when checking in. ??? This would be an inconvenience at any hotel as the entire party doesn't always approach the desk but even worse... you couldn't get to your room from the lobby at this hotel so why would the other guests in your party enter the lobby? This requirement is rediculous. I saw an elderly man checking in. He was explaining that his wife never had a drivers license. I didn't stay to watch the outcome but they were insisting that he go back out to the car (in the rain) and find some sort of ID. As I type this I am wondering why I put up with this and didn't refuse to provide my wife's ID. I was reminded that I was in a smoke free room and that they are very strict on 200 dollar fines for any smoking detected in their non smoking rooms. Normally, I wouldn't have a problem with this warning but... the room stunk!! How would they be able to tell? The hotel was under renovation which has to happen from time to time but I think this renovation was way past due.
First they did not have our reservations, then they found under name. Restaurant was not open when we had to leave for a college graduation. Did manage to get a cup of tea, served with Luke-warm water. Not good..
Very clean hallways and room. Very comfortable. Staff was polite and cared about my comfort. Very quiet inside my room which is always good for a nights sleep. I read reviews about construction but did not interfere with my stay ( I have to say I am passionate about my happiness in life . The little and big things I do that make me feel good (although it was the weekend). Did not order breakfast so can't review but was offered/told at check in. All around it was a nice stay at this hotel.
The grounds (although we just had a bad winter) looked run down. Needs a big clean up and fixing of a few things. Gives a bad image of what's really inside. Also the jacuzzi was not operational. Looks like they completely shut it down for good. Which it was suppose to have one. Didn't say anything wasn't a big deal to me. Might be to you. But that's it.. Good stay all and all.
Friendly staff. Comfortable room. Water park looks like it will be nice once it opens. Convenient area.
Continental breakfast lacked a bit. Only a few other people stayed in the hotel the same night and they were booked on the same floor in the adjacent rooms (only knew because of the thin walls). The elevators made us feel like we were going to be stuck for sure, stairs appeared to be a safer option... To the fourth floor.
The renovations impeded access to the morning coffee /breakfast...I walked through the maze of construction debris to retrieve a morning cup of coffee for myself and companion. The only other option was to walk in the snow & ice or to drive around to the front of the hotel.
Nice, convenient place to stay.
They let me know they were undergoing reconstruction before I checked in Was ok
The hotel is undergoing renovation, so major parts of the hotel were blocked off. The heatiing in the room was too loud.
