Judith was wonderful and made me feel very welcome at Clementine's B&B. She put me in the Sunriser Room, and I enjoyed views of the Columbia River as well as Astoria. She brought me coffee in the morning, and I enjoyed watching the sunrise as this beautiful part of the world came awake. Judith also prepared excellent breakfasts and visited with me about my adventures on the previous day as well as my plans for the day ahead. I was able to walk all over Astoria from this B&B, and parking immediately in front on the street was very convenient. I especially appreciated Judith's insights about Astoria and the surrounding region, and I really enjoyed the book by her naturalist friend that she loaned to me to read during my stay. (I just purchased my own copy on eBay!!) I definitely will plan on staying at Clementine's when I next visit Astoria!
There was nothing that I did not like.
The reviews of Clementine's are so good, I'm sure that there is an explanation for our experience. But upon arrival, we found no one home and after numerous, extended attempts to connect, including 3 phone messages, we gave up and took a motel. Never did get a response except Booking.com gave us some phone numbers for the local motels. I hope that the owner of Clementine's didn't have a serious problem.
Staff was very helpful and unobtrusive. Bed was extremely comfortable (good for honeymoons), bath wonderful. Plenty of books on the shelves, always a good sign. Rooms comfortable. Location extremely nice for walking tours.
Access mostly by stairs, good for us getting exercise but might be bad for the mobility-impaired. Not a big issue.
BreakfaSt was great!
WIFI in Moose Lodge was spotty
I liked that we could walk right into town. I loved the look and it was quiet. The breakfasts were a fun time to meet the other people there and get to know where everyone was from.
Breakfast was delicious. Judith is friendly and informative. Follow her advice! A great get-a-way!
Beautiful property Community Breakfast, great conversation Wonderful, A+++ Innkeeper Great Staff Comfortable bed Jetted Tub! Close to many museums and historic places Beautiful Decor Classy ALL THE WAY
The breakfasts were very good. Other visitors were enjoyable. Location. Price.
Did not get the room we booked until we showed email with details describing the room. Room very small so we had to take turns moving around. Did not like unattached bathroom but we knew this before our arrival.
Breakfast, flower garden's, location
Roomy Clean Comfortable Quiet Great Breakfasts! Great Owner! Great Location
Very friendly staff made you feel quite comfortable. Beautiful gardens and the bed was like a cloud. The breakfasts were excellent. It was just a very comfortable atmosphere and facility. I have already recommended it to my daughter and son-in-law for their trip to Astoria.
Great breakfast nice wine tasting in afternoon location perfect hostess delightful comfortable bed
we were happy with our choice for value and price - no negatives
Judith and her staff could not have been more welcoming. We would never stay anywhere else in Astoria.
Great location, great food, comfortable bedroom and beds, our hostess, Liam the friendly dog, the lovely gardens, restful atmosphere with beautiful sitting room decor. Thoughtful extras for the guests (warmed coffee mugs, evening beverages).
Convient for walking downtown and easy in/out of town excursions.
The grounds are beautiful, the home is so charming and the location is ideal for exploring historic Astoria. Judith and her staff are accommodating and make every effort to make guests feel right at home. Breakfasts were gourmet and delicious...and all the other guests seemed to be thoroughly enjoying their stays. Our room (French Violet) had a balcony with a beautiful view of the Columbia River. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding crisp and clean. Every detail in the main part of the house and our room was well thought out and felt like we were living inside Sunset magazine...gorgeous and homey!
The wi-fi was spotty at times, but not bad. No screens on the bathroom window or balcony door meant we had a few flying insect visitors...but, again, no big deal.
The hostess of Clementine's B&B did a fantastic job of making you feel like you were at home while away from home. Thank you Judith!
Location and setting was great. Very accessible from the highway and close to shopping, dining, attractions. Ambiance was charming, opportunities to get together with other guests was very welcoming.
Parking was on a very steep hill, but other, more level parking was available.
