Staff was ok Rooms were dirty and a strange musty odor. The bed was uncomfortable and a thin mattress. Almost every dinner item and app was a fried food item. No filet or fresh bass on menu? Internet was down so I couldn't work from the room. I ended up driving home because it was so gross.

We really liked the old time charm of the place that it really hasn't changed much over the years Loved seeing all the old pictures and mural on wall in bar. Employees very nice. felt a little dirty and run down. beds were very old and not comfortable. The table clothes in dining room wrinkled. Place is not kept up to the standards of the era it represents. Especially for the price.

Exceptionally friendly staff. Old Florida authentic ambiance. Everything in one place - hotel, dinner, lounge. An awesome place and a great night sleep. Best fried chicken! Very nice room! That I only stayed one night.

The Inn is quaint and charming. A taste of old Florida. Some rooms are not air conditioned. I had to move to a room on the second floor. There is no elevator. For me this was a problem.

The hotel has a prewar feeling. And we liked that. It is a museum-piece. The mattresses were of a very poor quality. We "slept" the whole night on metal springs. As we had a room on the 2nd floor we had to carry our luggage as there is no lift. We did not know that the restaurant was closed on sundaynight.

Rooms were small but quaint. Sink is in bedroom. Food was terrible!!! The Inn is in need of a trained chef and trained staff from front desk to restaurant.

We enjoyed being in Clewiston and exploring the lake area as well as nearby towns . It's very "old Florida" as we natives say. The food in the dining room in the evening was awful. The vegetables were well overcooked, the catfish also too well cooked & the picatta without a hint of lemon. The breakfast was much better.

The bar is unique in design and we were able to get some food in there. The rooms we had needed updating and were only fair in cleanliness. the breakfast which was part of the fee was disappointing. I think that we paid too much for what we got.

We really liked the small town feel of Clewiston and the hostpitality at the Inn. Breakfast was a bit odd/confusing. We weren't really sure if we were supposed to help ourselves or wait to be served. It would have been nice if someone greeted us and explained the process to us.

I appreciated that this historic hotel retained its historically romantic ambience with substantial furniture and beautiful architecture & interior accents. I felt at peace in that. The bedding also seemed very clean & plush. The place was crawling with bugs. Within minutes of entering my room, something bit my leg, & I must have killed at least a dozen flying insects in there. They were even hanging out on the wall just outside my room, & I couldn't figure how they'd have gotten in since it wasn't outside access & (I believe) all windows were sealed. When checking in on Monday night, I asked the young lady if there was anywhere to go that night for food & drink since a storm that never happened had led them to close their restaurant & lounge for the day - unannounced to their expecting guests :( She shook her head "no", so I was fortunate to have had snacks from the drive on hand for my dinner. That sucked. She handed me my key without mention of the fact that they have no elevators to haul my two closet-sized suitcases up to my 2nd-floor room, so I asked her about it when I realized my daunting task ahead upon sight of the grand & winding staircase. She brushed me off & quietly watched past her cellphone with a smirk as I yanked & dragged my stuff from one step to the next, leaving serious bruises. I coulda used some help. The next morning, I went to breakfast with my voucher & was given the menu, which was more like five lines reading "choose from cereal or toast; eggs scrambled or over-easy; bacon or sausage; coffee or tea; hashbrowns or home fries". I don't eat meat, so I got a kid-sized box of Rice Crispies with a cup of sour milk, one scrambled egg, & a handful of home fries. I had to ask for ketchup & remind the waitress for the toast. Would have been nice to have a pancake or a waffle maker, but then I guess they couldn't dictate their guests portions. (BTW I'm Size 2, & this was a bleak breakfast, even for me.) I also remember the bathtub being full of peeling paint. Ick. Point being, this hotel make an excellend candidate for Chef Ramsey's Hotel Hell. Has potential, being lovely to look at, but it needs a staff renovation & exterminator more than anything...

The location. The bed was nice and big. The bugs. My room was at the back oif the hotel and was stuffy. The room was not well ventilated and the TV would switch stations. The multiple plug outlet was a bit scary.

The building was lovely. The interior needs some renovation and the evening meal was not very good. Breakfast was fine though. I would recommend the inn but would suggest that travelers ate somewhere else for dinner.

The rooms are a step back in time and a pleasant change from the cookie cutter rooms of the newer hotels. I stay in hotels approximately 150 nights a year and appreciate the charm of the Clewiston Inn. The staff is very friendly and make you feel at home. The beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are always spotless. This was my third stay at the Clewiston Inn and will continue to stay at the hotel whenever business takes me to Clewiston.
